I was satisfied with this garage. I went there with a list what I want to have done and the owner gave me a price quote at £1500. After 4 weeks I had finally some free time so I went there again and add front coil springs as well for additional £100. I agreed with price and send £800 deposit because all 4 adaptive shocks absorbers, 4 coil springs and 2x wishbone bushes were expensive themselves. After the transfer he booked my car straight in only 2 days after. I did not expect that but I was gladly surprised. On the day of service I brought my car, gave them my key (before he took my car key, he said that spare parts were more expensive and service will be £200 more expensive – I agreed because it was still a good price) and fill up one simple form. I told the owner if a mechanic finds anything else wrong or damaged on my car just lemme know the price. During the day we exchanged several messages about wishbone bushes (need to be exchanged a whole lower arm including the bushes) and all drop links as well. I agreed because I do not want to have any problems when I do next MOT. At about 4pm the same day my car was ready to pick up but I did not make it that day. Another day in the morning I paid the rest of money for the service and got my car key. All together cost me less then £2000. Yes, my Volkswagen Passat estate 2015 is an old car but price of the service including labour was definitely worth it. When I opened my car both front seats were covered by protective foil against dirt and they gave me a car hanging air freshener with their logo and contacts which was also a nice way how to treat a customer. On the invoice was not any note about 4-wheel alignment but I noticed that when I was gone so I rather had the alignment done by a local garage the same day. In general, I was happy with the service, communication, speed and price.

Oakland MOT did a great job with my car.
I went in for my MOT and service thinking I had a clutch problem.
They checked it over, changed the oil, replaced the cabin filter and sorted a few other small fixes.

Only two members of staff on site and both were extremely busy. Nevertheless, they were professional, courteous and friendly throughout – providing for several customers at the same time: all of whom were dealt with using the highest possible standards. All I needed was a puncture repair but even though I had booked in and given all the van details they said they couldn’t do it. The first person that greeted me was very polite and apologetic but the guy who came out to look at the tyre was quite surly and gave the impression that it was nearly home time and couldn’t be bothered. Company policy meant they couldn’t jack it up inside, outside or put on the ramp as my van has side skirts. I’ve been to plenty of tyre places where this has never been an issue. In fact there was another car there which couldn’t be done either so to save anyone wasting their time I’d suggest asking more questions about the vehicle. Disappointed.

I had a 2+ hour delay from a 16:00 appointment time on the delivery of my tyres, The staff were helpful and kept chasing the delivery constantly they kept the shop open past opening hours with staff until the delivery arrived then fitted all the tyres, as my availability was only that day top notch service , whilst waiting I also noticed them help other walk in customers with various issues in between appointments,

£260 Spent, Problem Still Not Fixed After Four Visits
I brought my car in March 2025 for a noise coming from the front suspension. I was told it would be a simple fix costing around £120 to replace the top strut mount. However, during the job a bolt was seized and insisted on replacing the entire left-side suspension (shock absorber, coil spring, and mount), pushing the price up to £260.
I agreed to the extra work in good faith, hoping the issue would be resolved — but the exact same noise returned within days.
I brought the car back three more times. On one visit, they refitted the parts to check for loose fittings. From the next visit, they just denied the noise was there anymore. I have clear video evidence showing the noise was still there after the repair, but this was dismissed multiple times.
I was then told more parts would need to be replaced for the problem to be fixed, but I did not want to continue as its just more guesswork, which I would have to pay for, just for the issue to potentially not be fixed.
They then also said the initials parts they replaced needed replacing regardless of the issue. The car is almost 10 years old, most likely everything would need replacing with that logic.
Its against the Consumer Act / Trading Standards to replace parts if there is no basis for it.
After four visits and no improvement, I asked for a refund as the original issue had never been fixed.
Instead of taking responsibility, the owner’s wife shouted in front of junior staff and customers, saying I’d never get my money back even if I contacted Trading Standards.
Completely unprofessional and unacceptable behaviour. I have been their 4 times and even despite the issue I am facing, everyone else was rational, so unsure why the receptionist had such a problem when I have never spoken to her before.
I would strongly advise anyone to avoid this garage if you expect proper diagnostics, skilled repair work, or respectful customer service.
You can see from other 1 star reviews that this problem has happened before, customers paying for parts and labour and problems not being fixed even after multiple visits.
Really feel sorry for any elderly or vulnerable customers they may have who are potentially paying for parts and work that they did not need.

Thw worst experience i ever had. Very very bed service and proper fraud and bogus workshop. I went for my DPF cleaning. They charged a lot without any work. My car show same problem next day again, i went there again. But they did the same thing without any proper cleaning. It’s turn again same problem next day. Never trust them. Best to avoid this workshop. Dishonest people.

A massive note of gratitude and thanks to the fantastic team at The Heartlands Auto Centre especially brothers Tahir and Sadiq.
I have been taking my car and Mercedes Sprinter van to them for the past 6-7 years for both mechanical work and MOT inspections. They have always handled everything expediently and professionally.
Most recently the Mercedes van suffered a loss of power and lost some of its settings. They helped to restore the settings by taking it to the Mercedes specialists on Armoury Road. In addition a faulty pressure differential sensor was diagnosed which was replaced and now the van drives spot on. A new clutch and flywheel kit was also installed during this process.
From start to finish, the communication was spot on, the staff were friendly, and the quality of the work was excellent. They really went above and beyond to get everything sorted trying various options to get to the bottom of the issue and now the van drives like it should.
I have always been impressed with their customer service, workmanship and professionalism and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for mechanical work on their vehicles.

Really friendly garage, I came across them when I visited Birmingham and was having car troubles. They quickly fit me in near the end of the day. The man explained everything to me, what the initial problem they suspected it was and thankfully this sorted my issue.

I saw a car for sale in Birmingham which I wished to purchase but car had limited history and receipts. As it was a high mileage car I wanted the cambelt to be changed before I set off home with the car (over 100 miles).
As I am not local I had no idea which garage to use but ultimately booked based on who was available to do the work at short notice + Google reviews. I had already ordered the parts for the job so was also looking for garages that work with customer supplied parts.
Can honestly say I have never been treated with as much respect and with such honesty from mechanics before. Generally they can come across condescending due to a layman’s lak of knowledge and despite there being an issue with the cambelt kit which I supplied, they called me in to show me the issue and let me decide how to proceed. Despite the defective part causing a delay of over an hour, I wasn’t charged a penny more than the quoted price despite me offering to pay for the time. (my fault as defect was with part I supplied)

Great service at Birmingham Auto Centre. Took my car there for a service, they shared a video of the underside to explain what work needed doing and what was in good nick. I then had an unrelated fault the following week. Unfortunately they couldn’t help as didn’t have the part, but they spent half an hour diagnosing the car, and didn’t charge me a penny for it.

Great place to take your car. I needed an MOT doing and contacted them late Friday afternoon and they fitted me in the very next day for a full service and MOT. Staff super friendly and polite dropped the car 10.30 and it was ready by 3.30pm. Highly recommend.

Came here the first time and honestly it’s been such a good experience finally, I’ve been to many car places and they over price, with bad quality and this place got all four tires changed within 20 mins and the price was great too. Was stressed as I had to get back to work and wasn’t expecting my tire to blow out on me and I was back on the road as soon as possible. 100% going to be my go to place for my tires and other car work. Unfortunately woken up to flat tyre due
little incident with a pot hole a few days ago. Tried pumping tyre and it was wasn’t having any of it so I thought I must damage my rim. Called Tyrepoint (recommend from a very good friend) at 9:30 explain the situation and they were out within half an hour.
