Found this one to be much better than the Wolverhampton branch I visited last month. 2 whole floors of interesting pop culture items. Still a lot of things that can be found cheaper online though. It’s my daughter’s absolute favourite shop so I’ve been in a couple of times now, and will no doubt be back many more times at her request. Very easy to get to on public transport, as it has a Metro tram stop right in front (Bull Street).

Great store – staff are friendly (more than happy to offer recommendations), and there was a great variety of stock in the store. We stayed for around 40 mins just looking around and admiring all the nerdy displays! They had a great selection of books, comics and board games upstairs. Would definitely recommend going in and having a look if you’re in the areas and interested in games or comics!

A great selection of books. I always enjoy Foyles, but I’m nostalgic for the old Charing cross road (London) store where you could get lost for the day. There seems to be more room in a Foyles store to move around in!

This used to be a great small bookshop that you could rummage around in but has become really boring since about a year ago. It feels like they took out 70% of their stock, left only easy read bestsellers, and turned it into just another train station bookshop.

I’ve been a regular at The Heath since it opened and I just love it. The selection of titles available is fantastic – always a great mix of current releases and older modern fiction, plus lovely editions of literary classics. They have smaller selections of other genres but they are up-to-date and well-varied, offering something for all tastes. If they don’t have something in stock they’ll do everything they can to order it for you, and more often than not it’s there within a few days – well worth the wait to know you’re supporting a local business instead of adding to the coffers of Amazon and the like.

The Heath also hold lots of events with authors and editors from far and wide, already attracting amazing names from the literary world despite not yet being 6 months old. It’s a testament to how hard Catherine and Claire work that they’re making these events possible, and always at a low cost to the customer.

Catherine and Claire, along with their lovely volunteers, are always helpful and welcoming, ready for a natter if the shop isn’t too busy but never unprofessional and always mindful of other customers who may need assistance. I’ve never felt hurried out or ignored, even on their busiest days. More than anything, their passion for the shop and all things bookish shines through. It’s a real pleasure to see them running their business and interacting with the local community, spreading the love of reading with everyone who enters. They deserve every success.

I came from out of town with my wife and child.
I was in the shop looking for some books and my wife was stood outside with my baby in the pram, it started to rain and she stood under the shop canopy umbrella waiting for me so the baby doesn't get wet.
The shopkeeper who was a rude aunty then decided to close the shop front umbrella on purpose knowing full well that someone is standing under there waiting.
My wife was simply waiting for me and she got wet by this pathetic childish woman who decided to close the umbrella because someone was standing in front of her shop.

Very very rude and bad manners
