Simon at Safe & Sound was recommended to me by a local garage. I had some warning light issue with the airbag on my horsebox conversion which Peugeot couldn’t fathom. So I contacted Simon in the hope he could help restore my horsebox to its former glory. What a delight Simon is. First impressions when he met us at our alotted time were completely professional. Booking in was easy on the website and the telephone chat I had before booking with Simon helped me explain the list of issues I needed help with. Simon listened and said he would investigate and would give me some options re additional security too to consider.
Post analysis of the vehicle, Simon was very methodical and gave a menu of options in terms of budget to choose from.
Once agreed Simon, quickly carried out the work. I’m super happy with everything and Simon really does go that extra mile in customer service. On collection he talked through the work carried out so I was happy with everything. Simon is a real find and I will be back for anything auto electrical/security. Amazing service! Used twice, first to install a new touchscreen and then later to install a reversing camera to that new touchscreen all sorted within an hour on both appointments, super friendly and informative and went above expectations and assisted with customising the software to suit driver preferences cant recommend enough if you need new tech installed in your car!

Extremely good experience with safe & sound. The initial electrician who was supposed to fit my dash came was ill so simon stepped up. He made sure I was fully satisfied with the service and showed me how to use everything on my camera. Very honest and good service. I would highly recommend Simon and safe & sound. Excellent service .. Had a dashcam/reverse camera installed. The communication was great, they came out to me and the job was done in no time. The installation was quick and clean, I was even given a tutorial on all the features, and given that it was a third party unit, this just shows that they’re willing to go the extra mile and all for a reasonable price. Fantastic service! I needed a reversing camera retrofitting to my car which I had already purchased. I was able to make contact with Safe and Sound to check they would fit that model and easily book an appointment online. Simon kept me up to date with developments whilst fitting the camera, gave time updates and was pleasant and polite throughout. The camera proved a bit troublesome, but Simon was able to persevere and ensured the product was perfect before handing my car back. The job done was fantastic, fairly priced and well done. Simon was so helpful, we had an Apple play device fitted to our daughter’s 63 plate Ford fiesta and we needed it fitted without her knowing as it was a birthday surprise. He got all the information he needed for when she wouldn’t be around the car and worked his magic to suit when it was best for us, couldn’t do enough to help us achieve our surprise goal … he even showed her how to work the device after she had the surprise ! What i can I can say,my headphones was fixed, but when I received it got a shock how was assembled.
Looks like a monkey’s ripped ass,I’m really disappointed.
Right side is original not touched, left side terrible.
I seen on YouTube how opening headphone for replacement battery,and when they put it back it was perfect same like nothing changed.
What can I say, if you don’t know how to do the job, don’t take it on.
I not talking about communication,because ignoring answering,lying about shipping.

In 2023, my Mcintosh MC2105 amplifier got some problem, I search Google with a view to find any Mcintosh expert near me. I found Get it Fix( actually it is not near me because I am living in Manchester)
In 18 April 2023. I delivered my mcintosh to them for repairing. Some days later, they quote me £680 for repair and re cap. Ok. I bank transfer immediately to them.
They send me email stated that some parts will be send from USA, so that I may need to wait 2-3 months. 2-3 months later I called them but no body answer. I called them repeatedly(a hundred times) , several months later a male answer the phone and said I need to pay £680 more for repair. I refused immediately and request to send me back the Mcintosh. Every time I call them a guy said call later……..
two years later. I called again and confirmed I can pick up my Mcintosh on Friday (today)
I drove 90 minutes to pick up my Mcintosh. The guy not allow me to go in just wait before the front door. I have no opportunity to test my Mcintosh.
Back to home now. The Mcintosh remain unchanged. It is can not be switch on.
£680….. what have you done on my Mcintosh? Nothing !
This Get it Fix is cheater. Please explain to me!

From the start of my experience with get it fixed I was impressed straight away. Sending all the postage labels out, then sending me photos of the condition of my amplifier after it got to get it fixed.
I was able to get it pushed through quite quickly in was diagnosed and tested a few repairs was carried out to my amplifier. It is working great.
The only minus is you have to pay for parts and labour as the repair goes through its process.
I will be definitely be using Get it Fixed for all my electronic repairs.

My advice to fellow professionals and anyone valuing their time and money: AVOID Get It Fixed at all costs. Your devices and peace of mind are too important to risk with such unreliable service.

Remember, in our industry, our tools are our livelihood. Always research repair services thoroughly and consider manufacturer-approved options for critical repairs.

This service was exactly what I needed from Get It Fixed, very easy to use with an excellent step by step guide. Sent my item for repair and once received they kept me informed of the progress until the item was fully repaired and returned. Very happy with this service.

Sent my Bose headphones for repair as they would not switch off and consequently battery drained overnight.
Repair was quoted at £58 so I went ahead.
You get the opportunity for a fast track repair for an extra £35 which I declined.
Total cost ended up at £80 with addition of £22 postage etc.
The repaired headphones were returned to me after two months.
Communication could be improved.

I came across this company by chance on the internet while looking to repair my Huawei Mate 20 Pro. I read the positive reviews on their website, but I wasn’t smart enough to check their feedback on Trustpilot and Google. Beware: the negative reviews are absolutely accurate.

This is a company that asks for payment upfront, doesn’t tell you how long the repair will take, then sends you an email saying that if you want it done quickly, you need to pay an extra £35. And even then, it’s not done quickly.

I waited two months for them to return my phone. After threatening them, they finally sent something back saying, “We’ve temporarily installed an OEM screen.” That is not an OEM screen — that’s a screen straight out of Frankenstein’s lab. It doesn’t work, it’s garbage, and it’s impossible to put a phone case on it because it’s like trying to fit an iPhone screen onto a Huawei body. Completely unfit. The screen is warped and terrible.

In the end, I had to tell the company they could keep the phone. I sent it back. I don’t want it anymore. It’s unusable, pure trash.
I asked for a refund several times, and each time they coming up with a thousand excuses. I had to go through legal channels via MoneyClaim.
I recommend MoneyClaim to everyone. As soon as they received the email from the court, they processed the refund. But I’m not giving up. I want compensation for damages.

Anyone experiencing the exact same problems I had, I recommend going to the UK government’s Money Claim and pursuing them through legal means. Present all your documentation. Do not be intimidated.
If they have deceived and scammed you — because they are nothing but scammers — they make you believe they are great experts, with great staff and sophisticated machines to fix phones, but in my opinion it’s just one, maybe two people.
In my opinion, the website that represents the company is not genuine. They make it seem like they are top experts, with a magnificent, stunning site and many positive reviews, but in my view, those reviews are not real.
Stay a thousand miles away from this company.

One of the best rehearsal spaces I’ve used. The facilities are super clean, the instruments and gear are in great condition, and you can tell everything’s been well looked after. There are loads of cool little extras—like unique picks and accessories— great vibes all round.
And there’s a cat!

Rob and the team run the best studio I have ever been to or seen. You walk upstairs and see a music shop filled with the best equipment with 3 cats and snacks and drinks.

The rooms are filled with world class music equipment such as Amps, PA systems and drum kits. It’s amazing playing in rooms that black Sabbath/Jimmy page and Judas priest have played in.

Wouldn’t want to practise anywhere else.

The studio was close to public transport, and huge inside.
The bathrooms were clean and the ladies had glitter seats went there for a friend’s music gig and despite the noise we made in one of the studio rooms when in other parts of the place it was very muffled.

I’m a drummer for my band and this is our go to place. We love the kit and the atmosphere. It gives us a large amount of space to do what we need to do. Always look forward to coming here.

I turned up at The Bass Bin Birmingham just as the shop was closing, but instead of turning me away, the guy asked if I was there for the bass bin and happily opened the shop back up for me. That level of customer service really stood out straight away.

He took the time to show me different types of subwoofers and gave me advice on what would actually work best for the very limited space in my car boot. He was friendly, patient, and clearly knew his stuff – no rushing, no pressure, just genuinely helpful service.

Excellent friendly service from these guys. After getting recommended from a guy at work I gave these guys a call, managed to fit me in at short notice and did a great job on installing my twin subwoofer on my BMW E90. I kept my original factory stereo and provided me with all the necessary fittings. The installation was clean and tidy and respectful to my car. I am absolutely blown away with the sound and bass! The whole car rattles but in a good way.
Gave me a option to hardwire my dash cam too which I’m going to get done sometime in the near future. Thanks again guys and will definitely be returning for all my car installations. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Big shoutout to The Bass Bin—these guys are solid. I first went in just to upgrade my front speakers, which already made a big difference. Ended up going back for a subwoofer and honestly, it changed the whole sound for me. Can’t imagine listening without it now.

Had a little issue with the sub about a month later, but they sorted it fast—diagnosed it straight away and swapped it out free of charge. No stress at all. Proper customer service, good prices, and they actually care. I’ll definitely be back.

As a retirement present to myself I intended to change my KEF R500 speakers. I’m disabled but with over 50 years interest in hi-fi i identified a speaker I felt would fit my requirements. I spoke to 3 dealers and in the end chose Audio Affair because they were offering 24 months 0% finance. They offered me a reasonable part exchange of £445 for my speakers and I my £600 deposit and set up finance but after a few days they got in touch saying that because one speaker was faded in colour the best they could offer for them was £100! I was shocked and upset but they stuck to their guns and wouldn’t budge. To make matters worse they were asking for £80 to return the speakers to me or to collect them. I obviously couldn’t collect them due to my disability. It had taken me 3 hours to get my speakers out of my system and pack them up for carriage to AA. A manager then phoned me up to try to retrieve the situation and R said that if I put another £250 cash into the deal I could still get the Proacs but this time I had lost all faith in AA. The carriers AA use aren’t very professional , waited in all day and the man comes with no trolley to fetch heavy speakers. AA do get favourable reviews but my experience very poor, they are too business-minded.
They didn’t send back the speaker foam bungs , I’ve emailed them and no response.
Something I’ve learned, go to a hi-fi dealer who cares , something AA have learned, consequences of not caring.

Absolutely fabulous little shop, I was walking past the other day and thought I’d pop my head in to ask if he sold Adam Audio speakers which unfortunately he didn’t but he gave me some great advice on them which ended up with me buying a pair a few days later and I have not been disappointed! Additionally, he had a Devalet Phantom Gold in the shop, which I’ve always wanted to hear in person. He offered me a demo, which made my day as the unit sounded incredible. Old school quality customer service at its finest, thanks for taking the time to answer my questions. This will be my first stop in the future if I need anything audio.

Tibo PA150 Power Amplifiers.

I bought a couple of these to try out. Here is a summary. I’m not an audiophile but do like my music.

I wanted to use these with my Tannoy XT8F’s to bring out a little more soundsatge from them. Currently I have a Denon AVC-X3700H driving them in bi-wire. So getting around 105W RMS per channel to the highs and lows.

At first I used a laptop with a 3.5mm jack to RCA connected to the Tibo’s and the Tannoy’s, just to get a feel of the amp on its own. And they didn’t quite sound right even in mono mode (I bought two of these amps – 300W RMS per amp). So I connected the Tibo’s up to my Denon’s via the pre-outs, and thats when it made a huge difference. It sounded much better. Don’t get me wrong my Denon’s sounded just as good if not a little better.

Now are these truely 150W RMS per channel, I couldn’t tell you as I do not have the necessary equipment to test. What I do know and listening with my ears – everyone has different taste and listening modes. So this is just my opinion, I think they are closer to around 80W RMS in stereo mode, and around 150-200W RMS in mono mode. The reason for these guestimates, I also have a pair of Sony TA-N55ES which I hooked up and they sounded more controled and much louder – I had the Sony’s at around 3/4 volume, as they sounded louder than the Tibo’s. The Sony’s are rated at around 110W RMS per channel and 300W RMS Mono. Also bear in mind the Sony’s are around 30 years old.

Granted – Class A/B and Class D amps are different and I would naturally get a different sound. So not comparing amps. Just wanted to see if Class D amps have moved on in there sound. I don’t have the money for the Rotel or NAD’s yet.

Now for the money the Tibo’s are GREAT value. They run much cooler and take up a lot less space. I may consider using them in my HT setup. Currently have a Marantz SR7013 driving Anthony Gallo Strada’s. I will test the Tibo’s in mono mode for the Front R, L and C and leave the surround on the Marantz. And see if that helps drive them better. Now its trying to find the time to do this. If I do, I’ll update the review.

Most importantly the speakers came in perfect condition and got here quickly, also very competitively priced – in fact the cheapest I saw online.

Visited last month, to get my dashcam fitted. The older couple that served me were really friendly. The guy that fitted the dashcam, Rahul was very knowledgeable, and got the job done efficiently

I recently visited Time & Sound to upgrade my car speakers, and my experience was a mix of positives and negatives. Let me start with the good: the workers are fantastic—knowledgeable, skilled, and clearly dedicated to their craft. One older gentleman in particular stands out; he has a great attitude, focuses on finding solutions, and genuinely seems to care about customer satisfaction. He’s the kind of person you can trust and easily get along with.

Unfortunately, my experience was dampened by another employee, a guy with glasses, who came across as negative and rigid. He seemed one-dimensional in his approach, saying “no” to practically everything and insisting that the price he was offering was already the best (which didn’t feel negotiable). On top of that, his sour demeanor is not what you want to deal with as a customer. His attitude created a stark contrast to the rest of the team and gave the shop a less welcoming vibe.

What’s frustrating is that it feels like he’s in some kind of leadership role since the other workers stay very professional around him. But ironically, he doesn’t seem to trust his team enough. There were instances where I felt the staff could handle the work he claimed they couldn’t do, which left me wondering if he was holding them back unnecessarily.

Overall, Time & Sound has a lot of potential because of its talented team, but the experience is brought down by this individual’s attitude and limited outlook. If you deal with the right person, you’re in good hands, but a more consistent approach to customer service would really elevate this place.

Avoid this place blew my ECU after a bodged up reverse camera install cost me 800.00 to repair after these people just shoved a wire into a fuse no isolation

Paid for a job and asking for more after money after the job is done and already paid for. Such a shame to see this place going down this way. Ruining the long held legacy. Owner needs to take more control

I had speakers for the car but they were a bit too big so I took them to time and sound after a phone call I had the previous day. They said just bring it down. Not only did they fit my speakers I bought, but they suggested what other speakers would go Nice in the front to accompany the back and sorted me out a nice amp to run it all. It was fitted nicely and professionally. The people were very nice job, well done and very happy with the sound. Would recommend this store.
