I took out the policy after my friend who was previously married to my brother encouraged me to do so as she had one herself. Who would have thought that within a year of me taking out my own policy that she would be dead, that was on June 27th 2023, I will never forget that day. She was only 52, I thought we had many more years to live but unfortunately with death, age doesn’t matter. Sometimes it comes at a time you least expect it like a thief in the night. Her funeral was exactly how she had wanted it, all thanks to Diaspora insurance and all the support from friends and family. She was the glue that held the family, friends and community together. It was broadcast on Facebook live in Hull, England by Diaspora insurance and that meant family back home who couldn’t be here were able to be part of the funeral. I do recommend Diaspora insurance as the money they give to the family who are left behind sort of eases the pain a bit knowing that your loved one will have a dignified send off. I have referred a few people. The process for signing up was very easy.

I used this firm several years ago when I was a sole trader and found them very helpful, but sadly the quality has gone downhill. I signed up again when I started a new company, and it’s been very frustrating. Constant mistakes that I’ve had to spot and correct myself, nearly impossible to get hold of anyone consistently. Every time you speak to someone different, and they never seem to have any background on your situation, so you’re left repeating yourself.

Be very careful before signing up. You get locked into a 24-month contract, and there’s a fee leave early. Definitely not the same service it once was, I wouldn’t recommend them anymore.

UNHAPPY due to poor explanation and communication when doing taxes. If a client asks ‘is everything completed?’and the answer is yes, as a lay person one can assume taxes being filed means everything is ‘complete’ and finished on BOTH sides. It in fact means you still have to pay HMRC yourself. This was not explained once, even after asking if everything was done. Disappointed. Instead of applogizing and telling me how to correct this, i was gaslighted for not knowing this key bit of information myself. Disappointed.
