My BMI was too high to have IVF on the NHS, but P4 fertility didn’t make this an issue and said from the outset they would help us.We had several tests done which told us what our issues were and to be truthful, the odds weren’t in our favour.We started our first IVF (ICSI) cycle in November last year and as I am typing this we have our son in my husbands arms! Our miracle little boy on our first cycle. Naturally, I was so nervous along the way and it is an emotional rollercoaster, but every time we saw Dr Jeve he put us at ease and was always so positive it would happen for us, and it did we owe our miracle child to P4 fertility and the nurses at the priory hospital. He took time to explain things and talk through the process. He was able to squeeze me in for a scan the same day. I let feeling confident that I was in safe hands. However, in the appointment with him, he advised that much of the background work can be done easily to avoid paying for follow up consultations. This has not been the case, it took me 3 weeks to get an outline of costings and even then were not complete and i had no response to my email requesting further information. The fact that prices aren’t transparent is concerning. I had to continuously make contact for my blood results and report from the initial consultation. I was just sent the blood results without any explanation as to what those results meant. This really added additional stress.It’s 6 weeks almost to book an appointment with the counsellor. Given that women are often experiencing this very emotionally I would have thought extra care and good communication would be a minimum to reduce the stress experienced which we all know impacts fertility. He is very knowledgeable and put us at ease throughout. I had HyCoSy for peace of mind more than anything and was dreading the process after reading everywhere about how bad it hurts. Let me tell you that it didn't hurt at all!!! I couldn't even believe it was over when it was. He goes above and beyond for his patients even if it's just for their peace of mind. He always welcomes phone calls if ever worried about anything. A man that listened to me and understood my feelings and didn't disbelieve my instincts and was happy to work with said thoughts and feelings as regards treatment, as long as deemed possible, before IVF was used.It came to light at my first consultation that I had already met Mr Jeve during my less than compassionate or informative treatment at the women's hospital (not his doing) of which failed before it even started. He was very different to the others and I clearly remembered him as the middle consultant I'd seen when he highlighted his experience.He was the one who wanted to give me a little longer; you could see he felt my desperation, yet was bound by strict NHS protocol.To cut a long story short, I am writing this review 4 weeks and 3 days pregnant. Pregnant at 41, no IVF; a completely natural conception. We had tried 3 cycles of letrozole prescribed by Mr Jeve but I didn't catch, most probably due to external factors as opposed to the treatment itself. He said to me at one scan, you only need one egg and it's there, so don't give up!Using the online booking service is very simple, as is email contact, but I have found calling the general contact number frustrating as have others here, as it seems those answering, do not forward the messages on because I know that he would reply. I simply opted to email in the end and had no issues. Whilst this is not right, I don't think it's a true reflection on the service and maybe a circle health reception teething problem/error and something I'm sure the team will look into on reading this review. I have chosen not to alter my review based on one flaw because regardless of our pregnancy result, honesty and specialism was what I needed.and what I have received.The cost of IVF with P4 fertility is based on care and the treatment and therefore you pay far less. Our medication approach was less than 300 per cycle.Don't hesitate, even if it's to ask questions or a second opinion. After discovering conception would be challenging we had researched and spoken to NHS doctors thinking our only option was IVF. Within 10 mins of meeting him we had a full and thorough understanding of fertility results, a plan to improve and give us the best hope of conceiving naturally. 3 months later and we’ve just been to our first scan. 6.2 weeks and a strong heart beat.Over the moon with how we have been treated and the results he’s helped us achieve. Would and have recommended his service.Continued.. yesterday recieved our NIPT results organised and carrier our by dr Jeve.
