An excellent and easy to understand process from the beginning, couldn’t be happier with the treatment I’ve had so far. In the couple of months I’ve been seeing Nick I have seen dramatic improvements in movement and pain reduction, I can now play a round of golf with no pain at all and has had a massive effect on my quality of life. Highly recommend….

I recently started seeing Nick for chiropractic care, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the first session, Nick made me feel completely at ease, taking the time to understand my concerns and tailoring a treatment plan specifically for me.
His expertise and professionalism are evident in every session, and I’ve already noticed a significant improvement in my mobility and overall well-being. He’s thorough, attentive, and genuinely cares about his patients’ progress.
The clinic is clean, welcoming, and runs efficiently, which makes the whole process stress-free. If you’re looking for a skilled and compassionate chiropractor, I highly recommend Nick. He’s truly made a positive difference in my life!

I was recommended by a friend at work whose husband is a regular client of Nicks. I can honestly say Nick makes you feel at ease from the 1st appointment. He explained everything in my initial appointment and what treatment he would recommend. I have 2 slipped dics and also suffer with endometriosis. When my assessment was done my mobility was that of an old lady. I have since had several chiropractor appointments and 3 sports massages and I can definitely feel an improvement in my mobility. I would highly recommend going to see them.

Having had lower back/hip pain, I visited Nick for treatment. Very friendly yet professional and have continued visiting regularly to assist with ongoing wellbeing. During my time I have also had sports massage which is available too and an added bonus to alleviate tight muscles when holding yourself tense when in pain initially.
Well worth a visit should you need. You won’t regret it.

I had a muscle spasm in my lower back due to an injury at work. I was in excruciating pain, could not correct my posture/stand upright, I could not bend down to touch my knees, I was struggling with day to day tasks and unable to drive. After a handful of sessions with Nick, the pain has decreased a lot, I am able to stand upright and do the things I was really struggling with before.
Nick is very knowledgeable and really helps with any concerns. The reception staff are very professional and friendly. I would highly recommend Hagley Road Chiropractic clinic.

Customer Reviews
I initially went to Dr. Evan to have all four of my wisdom teeth removed. At the start, he explained that he would remove two first and then the other two at a later visit.
My first visit went okay overall, but I did feel that he rushed through the anaesthetic. I experienced pain during the procedure and he had to inject more local anaesthetic after he had already begun. On top of that, he made a very strange comment about my jaw, saying that people of my descent have very strong jaws and even suggested I ask my grandmother about it. I found this inappropriate and offensive, though I chose to let it slide at the time. My grandma is currently going through very serious health problems currently and it’s a hard time for the family.
For my second visit, I felt very anxious because I had been traumatised from the first procedure. I expressed this to him, and he initially seemed understanding. However, during the extraction, I experienced what felt like an electric shock, which he explained was because he brushed on a nerve. This was very painful and distressing.
What concerned me most was that he only removed my lower wisdom tooth, even though I was expecting the upper one to be removed as well which is actually the tooth that causes me the most pain. He seemed rushed and eager to finish quickly. After I left the room, I went back to explain my concern about the top tooth, but he told me he couldn’t remove it that day as he hadn’t put anaesthetic in the upper area. He said I would need to come back for another appointment. This means I now have to go through the stress and trauma of another procedure that I believed would have been completed today.
I want to be clear that I have respect for Dr. Evan and his profession I understand that dental work is complex and challenging. But I also believe patients deserve clear communication, compassion, and to feel listened to. Unfortunately, I found his manner abrupt, dismissive, and at times rude. I didn’t choose to have impacted wisdom teeth, and I feel very upset about how my treatment was handled.

I had a great experience with Tim and Rachel with respect to my Wisdom Tooth Extraction. Tim was informative, knowledgeable, and really helped keep me at ease throughout the process. Rachel was on hand and efficient, always extremely polite, and kept me well informed every step of the way. Both of them made the experience much more comfortable and smooth. Highly recommended! I will be returning in a few weeks for my second extraction!

Had my wisdom tooth extracted today, my experience here was absolutely amazing, the receptionist was very welcoming and professional, I sat upstairs to be greeted by a lovely woman to be taken into the pre op room, to have my injections in my gums to numb the area, the dentist himself (Mr Breeze) was very reassuring towards me as he knew I was anxious to have it done, and they were both amazing getting my tooth, he did apologise a lot for how far he had to open my mouth just to get to the wisdom tooth (it was far back), but hands down, I had a great experience and very assuring as well which I do appreciate a lot, hands down the best dentist I’ve been too. Also would like to add how clean and tidy it was as well.

I attended on Saturday for a Mohs procedure, the experience was smooth, positive and reassuring..
Elizabeth on reception, Alison, Maria, Sarah, Ronnie and of course Dr Rajpar and Dr Martin-Clavijo who provided excellent support and care. Their kindness, professionalism, and clear communication made the whole experience straightforward.
Every stage of the process was explained carefully, and I always felt included and valued. From admission through treatment to discharge, the service was consistently professional and supportive.

Had my wisdom tooth pulled out today and I can say i have never felt more comfortable and safe. The surgery has a warm welcome with smiles that would greet you as soon as you enter. The dental nurse who assisted me into the surgery room was kind with warm smile and Dr Mcmillan was a fantastic doctor who explained the procedure to me step by step before and after the surgery. 1000% would recommend this surgery and thank you Dr Mcmillan and the staff of Westbourne centre

I recently had a procedure carried out by Dr. Allan Attard and Nurse Rachael, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
From the moment I arrived, both of them made me feel completely at ease. They were incredibly down to earth, welcoming, and genuinely took the time to explain everything clearly without rushing. What really stood out to me was how funny and light-hearted they were — it made such a difference to the whole experience. They struck the perfect balance between professionalism and friendliness.
I’d also like to give a special mention to The Westbourne Centre itself — such a clean, well-organised and calm environment that instantly makes you feel comfortable.Dr Attard and Nurse Rachael are absolute assets to the team there, and it’s clear they care deeply about their patients. They Deserve a pay rise!
I’m very grateful for the care I received and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend both them and the Westbourne Centre to anyone looking for genuine, high-quality care in a supportive setting.

I’ve had both my bottom wisdom teeth removed by Mr McMillan, he explained everything really well and kept me calm. I have had complications afterwards the first one being dry socket which was seen to and sorted by another dentist who was wonderful. The second was an abscess but the lady who helped me was lovely and kind and made sure the QE was aware I may need to attend. The reception staff have always been pleasant and after the abscess made sure I had calmed down to drive home. But extra mention is to the nurse who held my hand and then was on call via the out of hours number – she was amazing and reassuring. Overall the staff here have been outstanding and although I’ve had complications I think they were just unfortunate. I wouldn’t doubt the care that every team member has shown and I wouldn’t worry if I had to return (hopefully I don’t!)

Great service from start to finish. Laura was brilliant. The initial phone consultation was really helpful and managed to fit me in at short notice, which I really appreciated.
During the appointment, Laura explained everything clearly as she went along, so I always knew what she was doing and why. She made sure I was comfortable and understood what was happening throughout the treatment.
She also gave me some great aftercare advice to help with recovery. I’m definitely going back – I won’t see anyone else now. Laura was amazing!

Debs was amazing at sorting that out, and also gave us amazing tips on how to teach our baby how to breastfeed again.
Meanwhile Andrew was superb with his treatment of osteopathy. He was able to identify specific areas that needs targeting for our baby.
Cannot recommend these guys highly enough! Thanks both!

I decided to try accupuncture for sciatic pain which i had had for a while. Mark made me feel relaxed & explained what he does & what to expect. He made sure that he knew my medical history & my activity levels. He talked me through the process every step of the way.
The procedure is painless & I went for three sessions initially. Top ups are only needed if necessary.
The results are amazing & I am pain free for the first time in 12 months!
What a difference this has made. I can’t thank Mark enough for the work he does.
I would definitely recommend accupuncture and this clinic.

I have been visiting Melissa for the last couple of months. I was recommended to her by my Reflexologist. I had an extremely painful shoulder as well as lower back pain. I also suffered from severe headaches for which I have been taking tablets for over a year. Melissa helped to pinpoint the sources of my pain and discomfort and possible causes of my headaches. I found Melissa to be professional, knowledgeable, kind, gentle and extremely friendly.. I would highly recommend Melissa as a professional osteopath.

I went to see Sam a few years ago with a hip problem, but over the years, he has treated my back, neck, legs, and even my feet! He is very professional and makes sure he gets to the root of the problem. I know that seeing him regularly really helps me feel better physically. I have recommended him to others who I know have benefitted from his treatment, too.

I first visited Sam at Birmingham Osteopathy in 2018 after a severe sports-related neck injury that left me in constant pain. Not only did my neck hurt, but I also had discomfort radiating down my left arm. The pain was so intense that I had to work from home, needing to lie down frequently just to relieve the pressure.
After trying physiotherapy, acupuncture, and multiple chiropractic sessions — which sometimes made things worse — I was still in agony. By the time I made it to Sam, I could barely get into the car for my appointment, needing several attempts just to get in. But after my first session, I was able to get into the car on the first try! Although I still had a way to go, I saw significant improvement.
Within a month, I was almost completely back to normal — something no other treatment had been able to achieve.
Since then, I’ve had a few flare-ups and different issues, and now I see Sam regularly to maintain my progress.
Since 2018 I’ve recommended at least five people to Sam, and every one of them has had a positive experience with their issues resolved.
I can’t recommend Sam enough!

After having suffered for many a year with some really painful headaches I was advised to try an osteopath. Stuart came to my aid His professional manner, straight talking explanation of the steps we would take to not only identify the issues cause, but also undertake its treatment were refreshing. I’m now happy to state that after having several sessions I am now headache free and have gained a much better range of movement to my neck thanks to his ministrations and the exercise regime he provided. I have no hesitation in recommending Stuart to anyone that asks me about osteopathy.

I’ve had back problems with a trapped nerve for over a decade and was told nothing could be done. I saw Julian and he diagnosed another problem I was having that I didn’t even mention. Half an hour later and 2 months down the line I’m like a new man. Can’t recommend Julian highly enough, follow his advice and you won’t regret it.

I went to see Julian for the first time yesterday after having his number in my phone book for over 2 years!
Ive lived with chronic back pain, shoulder pain, poor sleep and brain fog for nearly a decade.
I slept like a baby last night ( slept through my alarm!) And have absolutely no pain whatsoever when I got out of bed this morning!. It had become the norm for me, so this is just a complete game changer for me.
Ive not been able to stop talking about it, its made that much of a difference. He had an absolute wealth of knowledge and his work ethic and integrity is unmatched.
My only regret is not dialling his number sooner.

I’ve been seeing Julian the osteopath for over 10 years now, and he’s been a game-changer for my back and overall health. I visit him every 6-12 months, and he always helps me achieve great posture and realignment which is crucial to my profession. Thanks to him, I can run, swim, work and train at my best. Julian’s approach is personal and welcoming; he’s very easy to talk to, but more importantly he’s a master in his field of work. Plus, he’s a fountain of knowledge when it comes to health. I highly recommend him to everyone whether you have back / posture issues or just for a general realignment.

The REAL DEAL!!!
I wish I found him sooner. After spending hundreds of pounds with specialists ranging from Physiotherapists, Chricopracters, Osteopaths etc and seeing no improvements whatsoever after months of treatment.
Someone recommended me Julian and I had nothing to lose. I could barely walk and not stand up straight. When I arrived at Julian’s place I couldn’t even get out of the car unaided.
He diagnosed me within the first minute and said he knew exactly what’s wrong with me. He then proceeded to do his magic and literally ten mins later I could stand up straight. He then followed up with a ‘spinal decompression’ and I felt a instant release of pressure. For the first time in months I was back to my old self. I was hopping, jumping on the spot, doing squats straightaway. I couldn’t believe it!
I had several trapped nerves and bulging discs, everyone told me it will be a long road to recovery and will require ongoing treatment before any improvements. However this is all a moneymaking scam.
Julian at Hall Green osteopaths fixed me in ten minutes! Followed up with real practical advice on prevention measures. This guy is a life send. I could not be more grateful. I finally have my confidence back and I’m pain free with full mobility.

I must tell you that I have been to many osteopaths and chiropractors. I was really impressed when I met Julian. I was impressed by his knowledge and experience, I told him only about three of my symptoms and was really surprised that he knew the rest of the symptoms, he also discovered other areas of pain without me telling him! He really knows what he is doing. Thank you so much Julian.

I’m blown away at how effective Julian was in such a short amount of time. As a strength and conditioning coach myself I had tried very thing in my tool box to fix the excruciating pain in my neck and shoulder. I went in with a healthy amount of skepticism of how much I could fix this within one session but was absolutely amazed to be completely pain free at the end of the treatment. 10/10 would recommend to friends and family thank you Julian!

I had been visiting David’s father for around thirty years very successfully for a number of appointments to fix problems and keep me fit In the spring of 2024 I was hospitalised with what after weeks in hospital turned out to be Pirifomis Syndrome something this world leading surgeon had only seen twice in his professional time as a highly qualified doctor. After undergoing a procedure to inject various materials in several places around the discs of my spine I was able to come home bearly ably to move. After consulting James father we agreed it was impossible for me to travel to him and he recommended his son who had quietly been practicing for some years only a mile or so from me.
Upon phoning James I knew instantly he was the model of his father highly professional yet very friendly to the point he knew all about my problem. This initial treatment worked miracles. After three months in hospital being unable to sit at all I could sit for brief periods with minimal pain after just one treatment Upon the recommendations of Dr Mutagi I arranged treatments as and when needed, often at short notice when usually I had overdone something. Initially this meant treatment every few days but now we have agreed that at this stage of recovery monthly treatments are about right.
The treatments are marvellous in several ways. It is not just the ways he relaxes and makes muscles more flexible by strenuous massages, he then realigns my whole body not just the site of the injury. I am back to the upright strong framework his father was able to manage but for a 72 year I had the energy and strength of someone much younger in the words of many who know me. James treatment goes far beyond that by gently informing you of what he is doing and the aims of it. He knows just when to talk about something else when appropriate but never overstepping the perfect line of his professionalism. He also goes beyond that by going one step further. He observed a weak spot and recommended a support for my hip. He magically dropped one off for me within a short while of me completing my treatment.
James has quickly become like his father part of our family yet is always there to provide that superb highly professional treatment for which in my case was something very rare yet this gentleman knows exactly what to do to my aging body in perfect working order. Thank you James.

I had two appointments over two weeks, and took my 78yr old Mum, for one session too.
Her feedback is (doesn’t have Google)
Delightful man. Well worth a visit and amazing value for money. Left with a lovely feeling of wellbeing and today, a much less painful leg. My arthritic fingers are less swollen and less painful too, with more movement, which is life changing. Generally feeling much better! Body, mind and soul. Thank you James.
My feedback
I went because I had fallen down a full flight of stairs before Christmas. I didn’t break anything and ‘powered through’ until February. James completely realigned me, and my pain was mainly gone after session one. What was astonishing, was the immovable big toe of ten years that has permanent pins and needles, is now completely cured and back to normal, (had put it down to arthritis starting). My right knee, injured badly three years ago, now has zero pain and full movement. I can, not only kneel on it again but I have increased my daily walk , back to 7-10k. Amazing!
After my second session I feel physically and spiritually aligned and absolutely wonderful and nothing is hurting or stiff.
You will feel comfortable in James’ company immediately and confident that you are in capable and safe hands.
We will continue to drive the 1hr 15mins for a regular check up, as James is the best in over a 100 mile radius. We’ve tried many over the years, since our last one retired.
Highly recommended

I have had back trouble for decades. I have also seen many different practitioners. A few have been excellent and many who will extend your need for treatment. One (which I will not mention for legal reasons) got me to sign up for 12 treatments and these lasted 9 – 11 minutes each time and a 2 hour round trip) Most of those who were really good either stopped practicing or left the area. You always wonder what your next experience is going to be. Fortunately I was recommended James by a close friend. Whilst the best I have seen in the past are what i would call high standard Osteopaths I would rate James as a technician purely for the depth of his knowledge; someone who will explain what and why he is doing a specific manipulation is rare but comforting to know. Highly recommended.

I had a very enjoyable and productive session with osteopath Justine! I needed some pain relief while waiting for knee replacement surgery and she appreciated this and geared the treatment accordingly. I came away feeling much better and with information about the section of the Versus Arthritis website most useful to me and how best to use it.
I must add that the whole decor of the clinic, inside and out, is very fresh and calming so the environment complements the therapy!

I came to Sam with a running injury which had developed into potential nerve tingling and he was great at reliving the pain from with only a couple sessions. Not only did I feel an instant relief but he was also able to advise on next steps such as incorporating certain stretches and helped me get back to exercising. Extremely grateful and thank you again!

I have been seeing Sam over the last three months for a 5yr old complex musculoskeletal running injury. He has been understanding, patient and empathetic with me. Importantly, he has got me back running at my best again, something I was almost giving up. And he does it all with a friendly and engaging spirit. I’d strongly recommend him if you’re willing to follow his simple routine for rehab, it works!

Review for Sam Hodges – Birmingham Osteopathic Clinic
I can’t recommend Sam highly enough. From my very first session, he has been brilliant. I arrived in quite a lot of trouble after years of injuries and exercise without adequate flexibility, struggling to walk due to a functional motor disorder. After seeing multiple physiotherapists, podiatrists, and other specialists with little success, I wasn’t sure what to expect.
Sam took a thorough and holistic approach, focusing on movement rather than just isolated issues. Over four weeks, with a combination of key stretches and targeted soft tissue work, my mobility has transformed. I went from struggling to walk to now moving much more freely.
His sessions are enjoyable, and he explains everything in a way that makes sense. He’s knowledgeable, friendly, and truly invested in helping his clients improve. If you’re looking for someone who takes a whole-body approach and delivers real results, I’d highly recommend Sam.

Frequently Asked Questions about Osteopaths in Birmingham
What exactly does an osteopath do?
Osteopathy is a form of healthcare that focuses on the whole body, not just the symptoms. Osteopaths assess, diagnose, and treat musculoskeletal problems by using hands-on techniques. They aim to restore mobility, relieve pain, and improve the body’s ability to self-heal. They consider the relationships between muscles, bones, joints, and the nervous system.
Is osteopathy different from physiotherapy?
While both osteopathy and physiotherapy address musculoskeletal problems, there are key differences. Physiotherapy often focuses on rehabilitation after injury or surgery, using exercises and other techniques. Osteopathy, while also incorporating exercises, places a greater emphasis on structural alignment and restoring natural movement through manipulation and soft tissue techniques. Both are valuable approaches to healing.
What types of conditions can osteopaths treat?
Osteopaths can treat a wide range of conditions, including back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, headaches, sciatic pain, joint pain, and sports injuries. They can also help with conditions related to poor posture and limited mobility. It's always best to discuss your specific condition with an osteopath to determine if treatment is appropriate.
Do I need a referral to see an osteopath in Birmingham?
No, you typically do not need a referral to see an osteopath. Osteopaths are regulated healthcare professionals, and you can usually self-refer. This means you can book an appointment directly with an osteopath without needing a doctor’s note. However, some health insurance policies may require a referral.
What training do osteopaths in Birmingham receive?
Osteopaths in Birmingham, and across the UK, undergo extensive training. They typically complete a four to five-year Bachelor’s degree in Osteopathy, which includes a significant amount of practical training. This education covers anatomy, physiology, pathology, and various osteopathic techniques. After graduation, they must register with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC).
How much does an osteopathic treatment session cost in Birmingham?
The cost of an osteopathic treatment session in Birmingham can vary depending on the osteopath’s experience, location, and the complexity of the condition. Generally, you can expect to pay between £50 and £100 per session. Some osteopaths offer package deals for multiple sessions.
What can I expect during my first osteopathic appointment?
During your first appointment, the osteopath will conduct a thorough assessment of your condition. This will include taking a detailed medical history, performing a postural assessment, and carrying out orthopedic and neurological tests. You will also be asked to perform a range of movements. Based on the findings, the osteopath will discuss a treatment plan.
Are there any risks associated with osteopathic treatment?
Osteopathic treatment is generally considered safe, but as with any form of healthcare, there are potential risks. These are typically minor and temporary, such as soreness or stiffness after treatment. More serious complications are extremely rare. It is important to discuss any pre-existing medical conditions with the osteopath before commencing treatment.
How many osteopathic treatments will I need?
The number of treatments required varies depending on the individual’s condition and its severity. Some people experience relief after just a few sessions, while others may require a longer course of treatment. The osteopath will be able to provide a more accurate estimate after assessing your condition.
How can I find a registered osteopath in Birmingham?
It is vital to ensure that the osteopath you choose is registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC). You can verify registration on the GOsC website. This ensures that the osteopath has met the required standards of training and professional conduct. You can also check online directories and ask for recommendations.
