My appointment was with james g and my daughters with trearna at the edgbaston salon.I absolutely love my hair and so did my daughter. Both of them are brilliant at what they do and they go out there way to give you the best experience. Staff are very polite and welcoming. We both love our hair and will be visiting back. I would definitely say come and check them out you won't be disappointed.

I had a hair appointment with the salon about two weeks ago. I was very excited to attend as I had purchased a voucher. Upon arrival I noticed all the white customers were getting hot beverages however myself and another south Asian girl being ignored and when we were seen, we were not even offered a glass of water. The person that cut my hair was pleasant however the stuff that was around, not very welcoming and made me feel like I had purchased a voucher therefore I was less of a client.I would never go here again because of the way I felt.

Came to James Bushell in the hope of them rectifying a really poor cut with a different hairdressing salon. James totally surpassed my expectations and transformed my hair. The whole experience from booking, to turning up to the salon with the warm welcome, to having my hair washed and cut/styled was really fantastic. I've found my hairdressing home. Very happy bunny!

I had a blow dry with Sharon today which I booked for my brother’s wedding and she did an outstanding job!. I have very flat hair which she brought to life, my hair stayed intact all night which is a miracle as the weather was atrocious all day. I had volume and curls put in and I couldn’t be more pleased.

AVOID! I have been to the salon twice. First time everything was well but the second time was where it all went wrong. I went for a T-section highlights and firstly I noticed the hairdresser over lapping bleach on already blonde bits of hair at the ends. I was turned away from the mirror so I tried to trust her since last time it was ok. The bleach was then left on my hair for over an hour! Bear in mind I am a natural level 7 and it was only the root that needed lightening. When it finally came off the hairdresser struggled to brush through my hair it was so damaged and knotty - she had the audacity to try suggest this was my fault. Since I left the salon my hair is gummy and constantly falling out. I went back to see the manager about this and after admitting my hair was very damaged and broken he tried to charge me to fix it. It is outrageous that he couldn’t even take accountability for his own hairdressers errors and later tried to blame me for the damage after wanting a refund. I only get my hair done 2-3 times a year, rarely use heat and it was it very good condition before this appointment. My hair is in awful state since leaving the salon and the manager can’t even reply to my emails. I have attached a picture of my hair fallout when I run my fingers through it. Customer service is appalling and I will be advising friends to stay clear of this salon.
