The Language Gallery University is one of the most welcoming places I’ve experienced. From the first day, the staff and teachers made me feel comfortable and supported. Everyone is friendly, helpful, and genuinely cares about students settling in and doing well.
The atmosphere is warm and inclusive, with plenty of chances to connect with others and feel part of a community. Whether you need help with classes or just someone to talk to, there’s always support available.
It’s a great place to learn and feel truly welcomed.

☆ 5/5
My experience at The Language Gallery has been extremely disappointing. The lecturers struggle to speak clear English themselves, making it very difficult to understand the lessons. The course structure is chaotic and disorganized, and you never receive your results on time — often months late — which means you can’t build on what you’ve learned.
There is a complete lack of discipline in classes. Lecturers allow students to cheat and don’t genuinely teach. Their main goal seems to be pushing students through the course by any means necessary, especially when exams must be paid for separately. They accept students who barely speak English just to take their money, with no intention of providing a proper education.
The whole system feels like a scam. I was marked down for a job interview exam I never even took, yet they expect me to finish the course with a certificate despite the lack of real teaching or learning. If you raise concerns, staff cover it up and deny there’s any problem.
They also promised progression to a Level 5 course but, with only two months left, I found out there is no such course available. This was a blatant lie. I’m upset that I had to give them 1 star !!

We spent two weeks at this school and couldn’t be happier with the experience. As a group of teachers from Spain, we truly appreciated the professionalism and dedication of the staff. The lessons were engaging and tailored to our needs, and the facilities were excellent. A welcoming, international atmosphere made learning enjoyable inside and outside the classroom. Highly recommended!

My experience at English Path has been absolutely amazing! As an ambassador here, I’ve had the chance to meet people from all over the world and build friendships that I’ll cherish forever. The environment is so welcoming, and everyone makes you feel part of a big international family.
The teachers are truly fantastic! I’d like to give a special mention to JJ, who has made learning so much fun and engaging. But of course, IRINA❤️, Eshe,Alice and all the other teachers have also been incredibly supportive and professional. Thanks to them, I’ve learned so much and improved my English more than I ever expected.

The BTEC law teacher Arsha Devi is the reason I choose to give the college 5 stars. She’s a wonderful teacher and she was a huge support system for me whilst I was going through the difficulties of exam stress/prep. She explains all the topics of the course thoroughly and clearly and is not afraid to repeat it if you’re having trouble understanding. She’s a lovely woman and does the absolute best of her abilities to support her students.

I had a wonderful experience at Cadbury. Whilst facing some difficult times personally, I had good support throughout my A level exams from my teachers. I got to experiment with lots of different Adobe apps and got to be really creative. I enjoyed it a lot and was really happy with the grades I got at the end of it.
My Graphics, Media and Photography lessons were always filled with positivity and creativity with great teaching and support. I also made some really great friends there and got to go on some trips too. I would recommend Cadbury College:)

My daughter started this college in September they have done nothing for my daughter. My daughter would come home and say that she was just sat in her lesson for 3 hours with just a piece of paper or booklet and told to get on with it. She said teachers was not very welcoming at all and there was nothing to make it fun or anything. They also said to my daughter that they would not withdraw her place unless my daughter had something. They lied to my daughter and withdrew her from the college and now she has nothing. This college is not helpful and make it seem they are the best college ever but yet just lie and do nothing to help at all.

My son attended the centre for almost two years doing maths with Mr Uddin. I noticed a positive change in his understanding of mathematical concepts and performance in school within weeks. IMr Uddin and his dedicated team have made a huge difference in my son’s academic attainment and self confidence. He was able to flourish and attain top grades in his GCSEs with his support and guidance. He took my son under his wing to help him succeed!
I am happy that I chose AEC. I definitely recommend them to anyone. Their efforts in shaping up a child’s future are commendable! Mr Uddin very graciously offered free of cost Science intervention lessons to students who need extra help and has always been willing to take that extra step forward to help his students in their best interest.
I take the opportunity to thank Mr Uddin and his team for all their sincere efforts, hard work, patience and support.

It’s baffling that South & City College Birmingham – Digbeth thinks it’s acceptable to have such rude security staff at their reception. Maybe it’s time the college invested in some basic manners and courtesy training for them, because clearly, they’ve missed those lessons on their own. It’s about time the college stepped up, unless they think such unprofessional behaviour is acceptable.

The location is very good in the city centre. There is also a double center plaza at the back exit of Birmingham newstreet train station. The classrooms on the ground floor are beautiful and modern. There is a nice cafe on the ground floor. Seating areas are sufficient. Toilets are not bad. There are smart boards in the classrooms. There is internet access. There is a kitchen. Tea, coffee, milk and water are regularly offered free of charge in the kitchen. There is a microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher. There are lockers in the classrooms. There are paper cups and mugs. But the areas on the upper floors need maintenance. Some of the classrooms have city views. However, the common areas are in a dilapidated condition. There is a small library. You can buy computers and books from the library. You can study in the library and do homework

Very, very low quality of learning, especially the marking, which is extremely poor. I cannot express how much racism exists in this organization. They care only about money, not about students’ knowledge. Honestly, it’s better to donate your money to a charity and remain uneducated than to give it to this organization.

Attended university through QA and couldn’t think of the worst service. Avoid! There were constant delays in communication throughout the course, instructions were not sent in timely manner, constant changes and extra stress before the exams. I was chasing my certification for nearly a year inly to find out that there is outstanding amount because they haven’t submitted my attendance to the student finance. The worst service ever.

The university and Lecturers were Good but the Student Services and Information Desk were very poor and disgusting they don’t know about anything To get in touch (by phone/email) is almost impossible, and even if you manage to get in touch (by phone) they’re useless/clueless, And if they don’t know how to help you, they simply hang out the call ( after you’ve lost probably 35-40 mins for the call). They just give an email address every time and say email your query we don’t know about it, if you don’t know about any query so why you are there? and nobody replies to the emails total waste of time Their helpline is a total mess, it brings up frustration and disappointment.
Unbelievably bad services for students.

The moved to a new campus and their new campus is way too small. It’s just a building that they have rented. It’s not a proper university and the teachers are even worse. 80% of their teachers are from different countries which makes it harder to understand what they are saying. The washroom is not available on every floor. Student service treats students like they don’t have any value. If you want to study and learn then this is not the place. Thank you

It’s a very good school. I recommend it. I studied there for a whole year and it was very good. I was comfortable with it and with the system it has. There is free coffee before half past nine. It has a library with many different books. The teachers are good and friendly. It was a good year. We did not feel that. Thanks to this administration.

It was a good college in some extent but one of the main coure my sons started was it course including photography, the techer who explained the course sequence was very good and his teaching was very good plus he understood my sons abilities, during course techer was changed which my son couldn’t accept the transition, also new techer did not met his needs and we complained about him. Even though his old teacher did agree that he shouldn’t be doing what he did but they did not suspended the teacher or change the techer or class group for my son who got special needs. In result my son left the college and been put off to go back to education. I can’t deny the help and support was provided but because of above situation my sons career has been effected and I can’t fix the damage.
For sometime he was very happy and used to look forward to go to college when he was happy with the teachers.

I’m missing the point where you’re impatient and negative, that’s why I’ve been studying in this college for 2 years and more, I haven’t seen what you’re talking about.

The most horrible college in Birmingham. Beverley Thompson is rude, not polite, and not respectful to students. 99% of the time you have to search for information in Google to pass units. Very poor quality education. I do not recommend this college and regret if your teacher is Beverley Thompson.

Brasshouse Languages presents an intriguing concept for language acquisition. The curriculum itself appears well-structured, judging from discussions online, with potential for substantial learning. However, the operational side seems to be a significant area for improvement. Issues around access passes, enrollment processes, and communication can create frustrating experiences for prospective students.
Ultimately, a prospective learner should weigh the apparent strengths of the educational program against the reported difficulties in administration. The student experience, from initial inquiry to ongoing support, warrants careful consideration before committing to a course. A more streamlined and responsive administrative system would greatly enhance the overall value proposition.

I wish I could give them 3 but for all the potential they have but waste because they don’t want to put any efforts, they don’t deserve it.
The staff is the opposite of welcoming and friendly. They won’t give you any information and no thank you or bye. Unfortunately as you can’t do anything on their website and they don’t answer emails, you Ill have to go in person.
The teachers: I can only speak from my experience but be careful. Some of them are just random people who speak the language and followed the brasshouse teacher training. They won’t have any qualifications and thus, aren’t always very good. My class didn’t follow any program or book even tho it is supposed to. They also don’t disclose any bio about the teachers so you don’t know what you will get and you have to pay, of course, the full amount before the first class.
Moodle and website: horrible. Good luck to find any information on there. The website, their new and old one are awful. It doesn’t contain any useful info, just broken links and fluff.
Price: honestly, it’s not expensive, especially if you are have a discount.
Overall, if you have to pay for a class, i will think twice or even four times, as it’s just not that good. They will ask for feedback but won’t change a single thing.

This place is a complete circus Only one student allowed on a computer per day, reception staff clueless and giving wrong info, about 50% classes get cancelled. Reception thinks being enrolled means you’re not actually a student—makes zero sense. Equipment barely works, and the principal’s roaming asking why you’re even there. Feels like they want your fees but not your attendance. Total joke.

The language courses are so good and excellent value, but the admin side of things seems like a bit of a disaster 🙁 Every term it’s the same ordeal with access passes not working/not available, and simply enrolling in your course is far more painful than it should be. Good luck ever getting through on the phones, or getting a response to a message!
There are always huge queues at the start of each term as students have to be issued guest passes as the full passes are never ready, and this continues for weeks. They even forgot to charge me once!
I am sure the staff are doing the best they can with the tools available, but this system is in desperate need of modernization.

Won’t ever bother Hiding my name. Forgot my ID at home after coming from the office. The lady behind the desk asked for my details which took literally two seconds. Told her it was an accident after she complained for doing her job and told me that my response was “attitude” after saying it in the most calm way. I’m an adult and was treated like an absolute child. She’s the manager behind the desk and ought to talk to customers with a greater deal of respect when no offence was even given to her.
Even asked for a plastic cup of water the previous to have a drink which there were plenty of on the customer desk for the water dispenser . She told me off saying even for asking. Customer service is just atrocious here. Just not impressed.

I have had a horrific experience here. Became a target of hate on both the Podcasting course (Kanas Wong) & Digital Photography course (Mark Holloway). Both tutors made vulgar remarks in every sentence. Kanas included a case study & a presentation with implied nasty innuendos / sexual remarks. Some students were also instructed to make nasty vile horrific remarks over 5 weeks! I have made 2 complaints both have been deliberately ignored! Neither tutor taught the course properly & Mark Holloway made sure I didn’t receive the learning like the rest of the students! Mark displayed an unhealthy obsesstion with Chinese dolls! I had my enquiry about courses ignored. The marketing manager also made inappropriate nasty digs. Management knew the game they have been playing. I have been a target of hate crime & abuse by University of Birmingham, Birmingham MPs, Conservative & Labour government, corrupt police.
The follow to my review a year later has is a way for Brasshouse / Adult Education Service to cover up the horrendous abuse which took place. Nothing was done at the time or afterwards!
