I am very disappointed with the service from this firm. For the past five weeks, I have been trying to get a refund that was promised after explaining our situation (our father passed away and we needed to take his body to India). Despite repeated calls and messages left with reception for Ravi or Nisha, I have not received proper assistance.

Each time I called, I was told that everyone was busy with clients and that someone would call me back, but this has not happened. I have been passed around to different people, with inconsistent information given. Recently, I was told via WhatsApp that someone named Ali was handling the refund, but when I called to follow up, reception said there is no Ali working at the firm and ended the call.

This lack of communication and support during such a sensitive time has been extremely stressful and upsetting. I hope the firm addresses these issues and improves their service.

Bad experience. Asks money in advance before anything and still no much response. They booked appointment even without asking me 2-3 days later when i made payments at 10pm in the night over telephone and didn’t even asked for telephone appointments and they refused to refund payment or cancel appointment when i asked i am not okay for consultation was not good at all. Waste of money and time

Mz solicitors tomuch waste time for last 3 weeks went 5 time I need one paper to complete with solicitor but all the time not available went hoilday or sick making lots of exuse and customer service no good fadup never go again

I would not recommend this firm to anyone unfortunately.
Very slow to respond to correspondence and do not answer all questions raised in correspondence when they do eventually return emails. This then results in more time and expense having to try and correspond with them again on the same subject matter.
I was given poor and inadequate advice by them so I terminated their services.
I have since found a better firm of solicitors that have successfully resolved all of my issues. Were quick to respond to all correspondence and saved me thousands of pounds.

Best to avoid Harper James and find a better and more efficient firm of solicitors.

I was halfway through dealing with a legal matter with Freddie Fergusson. I still haven’t received a response nine days later, and this is before I started agreeing to pay for the 20 hours quoted, which increased from 15 hours to 20 hours in the space of two emails. Rather than providing quality legal advice and support, they seem to be charging exorbitant rates for time that’s not needed. Luckily, my business advisor and accountant advised me that I was being ripped off, and the hours quoted for my needed services had been inflated. I’m glad I found out before pursuing and signing any paperwork, as they took so long to respond to an email; I don’t feel it would’ve been a well-worth investment. The initial call I received from them was nothing but sales talk and gauging my legal knowledge before quoting me the price of 15 hours at £4,350 + VAT for two simple contracts, which then increased to £5,800+ VAT for the 20 hours. I had the contracts drawn up in 3 hours with another firm.

My lawyer took 300 pounds from me and she doesn’t reply to me. Can I contact someone who knows how to get my money back instead of reporting it to the police?

Fantastic service from the very beginning up until the end of requirement. I had tried and struggled to find a solicitor for my matter initially. I contacted this firm and the first email Molly sent back was extremely detailed. I never once had to ask for clarification on anything as everything was explained very thoroughly throughout.
