Customer Reviews

Terrible. Staff are extremely rude. Cinema is extremely dated and poorly designed. Smells damp. Extremely dirty. Multiple broken toilets, seats, etc. Screens are not flat, are tiny, and the seats are so far off angle that you get an incredibly warped view. Avoid. Get a refund.

I don’t usually give negative reviews here but this cinema shocked me, especially for one in such a big city. We were in Birmingham for the weekend and decided to watch Moana 2.(Bare in mind we pay £5 in Wrexham Odeon which is a lovely cinema, so the low price has nothing to do with the awful experience we had)Firstly walking to the screen was like walking to a basement and was very old and tired. The auditorium was awful, stains all over the walls and uncleaned from previous movie. We paid £3 extra each for premiere seats, these turned out to be no different to the regular seats apart from a headrest. One of the seats we had booked was broken and hanging off so we had to move. They were also so low that the headrests in-front covered half the screen. The cinema also has zero sound proofing, meaning you can hear every sound from the people around you. The sound and screen quality was also bad.Two groups walked out, one before the film started and the second half way through. We stayed as we didn’t want to waste our money and we had no other plans for the evening. This is the worst cinema experience I have ever had and there was nothing enjoyable about it apart from the movie itself. Unless this is only possible option for you to watch a movie, I would not come here.

For a budget cinema, it's pretty fantastic. For reference, I've actually been to both an expensive cinema( Luxe Birmingham Broadway Plaza) and now a budget one.For budget experience, I was rather impressed. Obviously, it's cheaper, only £5 per ticket rather than the £12 I paid at Broadway. Both have nice seating with plentiful restaurants for snacks. The seats aren't as comfortable but the screen size is the same.In summary, if you only care about the movie and nothing else like I did with Dune Part Two then this is a great choice.

I used to visit this cinema quite a lot with my mates in the late 1990s, so for the sake of nostalgia, I thought I'd take my wife here. I will never hear the end of this. The screen room we were in was incredibly dated and underwhelming, so in a way, I got more nostalgia than I bargained for! We were there to watch a film with a 3½ hour runtime that had been out for 11 days. Around 1 hour in, the film began to freeze and pause, eventually crashing. Not dissimilar to a buffering stream. We were given the option to either stay in hope of them getting it going, or leaving and accepting both a full refund and guest passes. Everyone in the room opted for the latter. The passes are good for imax showings in better Odeons, so I was happy with that, despite not seeing the film.Staff were great, can't really fault their service and they handled the situation well. They'd also offered my wife a lot of freebies for films unrelated to what we were watching, and this was before we'd gone in to the screening. I doubt I'll ever return to this branch though.
