Nice hip restaurant, delicious fresh Indian fusion food with frequently changing menus. Good friendly and efficient service.

It’s not super cheap though, at £30-35 a head for a main course with a nan bread and a beer (including service charge). A bit noisy too, so maybe not ideal for a couple date.

Delicious Bombay-inspired modern Indian. The curries are delicious and the service is great. To avoid long waits during peak dining periods, advance reservations are advisable.

Highly recommend the okra fries, pau bahji (one order is good for sharing); the House Black Daal and the Goan Monkfish Curry. Everything was delicious.

Service was efficient and friendly.

After ordering about 20 times in a month, not the salad is always rotten and disgusting. No point counting on the salad and waiting for it when they will only disappoint you. Not exactly my idea of “majestic dining”

One of the most reliable restaurants in Birmingham, been there many times over a decade and each time the quality of food is good.
Samosa chaat, green chicken and lamb chops are always favourite starters.
Chicken tikka, ghosth palak, daals are always spot on and their naans are freshly made so tasty that can eat on its own.
Good place to go for a family meal, party or professional dinner as the ambience is great and you can call an book a table in a suitable place.
Good parking space too.

I have been to this restaurant I would say approx 10 years ago. The updated Mughal E Azam is amazing. The vibe, the atmosphere was so good. My only downside is parking & entering the building.

I went with my parents who are elderly & it is not friendly in my personal opinion for those who struggle to walk far.

They do have a disability parking up close, but even then I feel like it’s a bit too far. Thankfully the restaurant was not busy at all, as we dined early around 3pm approximately. And we were able to park in the middle of the road to drop my mum off closer to the building.

Toilets are clean! The staff were so amazing! Very kind, attentive & efficient. Could not fault them at all.

The food was amazing but a tad bit spicy for my liking even though we asked for mild, it was still spicy.

I would definitely recommend nonetheless.

It definitely has some Instagram worthy photo opportunities to take some memorable pictures.

Great time.

We have been to Mughl e Azam many times for dinner in the past but recently found out that they have started breakfast as well.

I had to try it and I wasn’t disappointed.

Staff was courageous, from door man to the manager, everyone welcomed us. We were taken to our table promptly as we had it pre booked.

Breakfast Menu is quite extensive. English to vast variety of desi offerings.

My kids loved a bit of both but me and my wife really tried and enjoyed almost all of em.

Poris were crisp, Roghni naans were done to perfection and Payas and Nihari were just wow. Everything was served very nicely with modern presentation.

But you don’t go to a restaurant for presentation, do you. It was the taste of the food. We as a family loved every bit of it.

Another plus for this restaurant is Onsite parking which is rare on Stratford road.

All in all this becomes my most favourite restaurant for breakfast now.

Lovely welcome from the lady at the front desk. We ordered a variety of different dishes all very tasty and cooked really well. Namkeen Ghost and Acahari Chicken were the highlights of the meal, the lamb shish kebab was delicious too. I can’t fault any of the food we ordered and the flavours were amazing. We were served by friendly and helpful Bilal. Very calm atmosphere too.
Happy to say the standards are still very high.

This is a very nice buffet restaurant, the owner is a pakistan. This is an independent building and it looked like a palace. It also has its own free parking lot. There’s a lot of options however there isn’t sea food. But if you don’t like spice, maybe you should reconsider before going. Yes this is a 100% halal restaurant. If you are Muslim you can relax and enjoy the food without fear. Children under 5 can eat for free, and children under 10 eat for half the price, I think these prices are very fair. And coca cola free

The staff is the most capable ones I’ve seen in England. It’s like the staff at the white house. They check on the tables every 5 minutes and they make it their duty to have absolutely no trash on your table. If you have a sweet tooth i think you will not be disappointed trying this buffet. The only criticism I have is I think they need to provide more green, just cucumber and tomatoes is not enough for a balanced meal. The queue at this place is a mess due to how successful it is. If there was a guard with giving out numbers or whatnot should fix the problem. If the owner wants the restaurant to flourish more he could try and add some different dishes like maybe sushi. But I don’t think there’s such need as this place is VERY successful. This is a very successful owner and a very successful restaurant. We will definitely be coming back. Please don’t forget they also provide a room for prayers, if you are Muslim you can pray without worries and or distractions. Clearly while making bank, the owner did not forget the existence of Allah. So the in conclusion if you were pondering on whether or not you should visit I 100% recommend this buffet.

Also if you finished eating there is also lots of places and mini markets near by that provides fruits you could purchase. This area is a very friendly place with lots of Pakistan and Indian people. You are less likely to see white english people, but rest well, this is a very safe area as this area has almost no drunk people or people doing drugs.

Fantastic that the drinks are included including mango lassi!. The only downside is the kids sticking their fingers under the chocolate fountain while coating their food 🙁

Fantastically designed restaurant. We went for an early dinner and it was quite busy. Despite this, our food came out extremely quick and the wait staff checked on us regularly. I had a nice window seat in the corner where I could people watch. I’ve had better Indian food but the meat was succulent in the curry.

Waited 25 min for table not bad for a Saturday night! Vast menu options even non alcoholic drinks pretty good! Super tasty food, had to wait quite a lot longer for one dish than the rest but I guess that’s what happens when it’s all freshly made. Really very cramped seating, tables close together, all packed constantly, not great for disabled access at all. Menu stated that a tip will automatically be added for groups over 6, so as a 2 we didn’t expect it to be automatically added. Didn’t feel the service was remarkable enough to warrant a tip over £7 to be honest but it was far too loud and busy to ask to have this removed, usually I’m one to tip a few quid happily. Would probably go back when it’s quieter in the day time

The food was delicious! Although being an Indian, I would say the spice level was not upto my personal standards but the overall taste was worth every penny.

Ambience: Ambience is like any other restaurant. It is quite good. Music plays constantly so it is not noisy due to people. Washroom was clean, odourless and well maintained.

Drinks: Oh drinks were beautiful! Yeah you read that right.. Beautiful! See the pic in the review.

Food: It is definitely worth every penny. The Amritsari Fish was crispy on the outside but melting in my mouth on each bite! Definitely one of the best fish starter I had. Thali was quite delicious. My wife enjoyed it. Naans were soft and buttery. Loved every bite. Can work on spice level though on request.

Very good mixed grill! The chicken wings were melt in your mouth – seekh kebab was moist and the lamb chops were tender and well flavoured. Definitely order the garlic naan and butter chicken. The Chilli chicken on the table next to us looked but we were too stuffed to order more. Will need to come back!

It is one of the best South Indian food restaurants in Birmingham city center. Staff are friendly, however there were not sufficient number of staff compared to restaurant’s busy business. Food is tasty and awesome. Weekend evening is busy, and it is better to reserve the seat before your arrival.

I had a great experience at Chennai Dosa, thanks to Charmie’s excellent service. She welcomed us with a warm smile and made sure everything was perfect. The food was delicious—especially the chicken dosa and mutton biryani, with the mutton being incredibly tender and the biryani full of flavor. The chicken noodles had an authentic street food vibe. While the chicken 65 and rasmalai were average, the overall experience was fantastic. Highly recommend!

This place is great! atmosphere is chill and cool. Top notch food. The staff was helpful, even though there will be room for improvent on service side.
Great place to hangout at an affordable price.
The restaurant accept CASH only. There is a cash point nearby but be prepared.

Restaurant timing also varied based on the day of the week.
Saturday and Sunday they open early at 10 am, other days only at 12pm.

Got acid reflex after eating here. To save cost, looks like they are using low quality cooking oil and not recycling the oil frequently. But the service was good and staff are welcoming. They only accept cash, no card payments.

Customer Reviews
This is my 2nd time going to Asha’s Indian Fine Dining for weekday Lunch. The best Indian restaurant.
This is my 1st time eating Indian fish and chips. The fish and the batter is so much better than the British fish because it is season with Indian herbs.
The chips is the best I ever had. Think it dubbed cooked, skin is so crispy and inside so fluffy.
The curry in a Hurry is cooked just right not to spicy and hot and it has loads of lamb in it.
The downside is you will need to go on weekday to enjoy the set lunch.
It is still worth 100% Michelin

The Indian food here was authentic flavors, fresh ingredients, and perfectly spiced! However, the dessert didn’t quite live up to the rest of the meal. I would still highly recommend for anyone craving a fantastic Indian dining experience!

Went to Asha’s around 5 in the evening to have a snack break, had been there before for dinner which was really good. Tbh their vegetarian starter menu is very limited would rather prefer dishoom (as they have a huge vegetarian selection). We ordered vegetable kebab platter, it was really good and enough to be shared between 2 people. Their drinks menu is larger than their food menu though .
But overall a good experience, will go without saying that it’s pricey but this is what you pay for experience and goodwill(Asha’s).

A fantastic first experience at Asha’s. Concise authentic Indian menu ranging from mild to spicy dishes. Plenty of starters, curries and sundries to choose from.

A beautiful interior with a bar, stools, tables for all party sizes and booths. Clean, well kept and calm ambiance. Privacy as well as openness. Amazing staff who were professional and considerate.

We ordered the lamb shank (so tender and falling off the bone) and the Palak Paneer, with butter naan and peshwari naan which was so delicious and fresh. We ordered a bottle of Chardonnay which went perfectly with the meal.

The desserts included authentic indian dish sea such as rasmalai and gulab jamun as well as cakes and crumbles.

I will definitely be visiting again.

I’ve recently dined at Jilabi restaurant,It was a lovely welcoming staff greeted with warm smiles and hospitality and very good ambiance. We were asked about the buffet system, they provided us with a lot of variety’s have ever seen.
The entire team worked seamlessly together, creating an atmosphere of efficiency and professionalism. The bus staff swiftly cleared tables and refilled water glasses without disruption, and the host checked in to ensure our comfort and satisfaction throughout the evening. It’s clear that the staff are well-trained and deeply committed to providing top-notch services. They have celebrated my friend birthday with all fruit juice with a small cake and a candle . The staff made our day with beautiful service from all the staff.

I highly recommend this Restaurant not only for its delicious cuisine but also for its remarkable service. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for making our visit so special. We will undoubtedly be returning soon and bringing friends to share in the wonderful experience, Thanks again..!

Overall a great experience, friendly and helpful staff with good tasting food.

We enjoyed a meal at the restaurant mid week. No reservation was needed

The staff were very professional and the turnaround time for the food to arrive was good.

The dishes tasted really nice, the butter chicken was below average it was more so a sweet sauce with chicken tikka added however I wouldn’t say bad tasting.

They gave us a whole load of complimentary desserts, chocolate cake, ice cream, gulab jamun and jilabi finishing off with a delicious Indian chaa!

If you’re local it’s definitely a place to visit.

Enjoy.

Visited on Christmas day and the overall experience definitely exceeded my expectations. A great selection of starters, rice, nan bread and curries were delivered to our table and we were also informed we could have anything from the buffet, during the meal the atmosphere was great with some drummers where a lot of the staff and customers got involved with dancing, desserts and coffee followed and again there was lots of extra desserts from the buffet, great value for money, with happy attentive staff, a meal to remember, will definitely be back and would recommend
