Came here with a large party (20 ppl). We had two servers. They were friendly but got confused at the end when it came time to prepare checks. The food was amazing! The spinach and crab dip is awesome! The spinach and shrimp dip was also very good and huge! Gumbo was also very flavorful.Everything I tasted was tasty! I would definitely return to try additional food items.

I decided to come here all the way from Arkansas to have Christmas Eve dinner with my family!
Food was absolutely delicious, nothing was disappointing!
I would come back!
I don’t know who the bartender was Christmas Eve but they wasn’t playing with those liquor bottles!
My Family and I truly enjoyed this place it was our very first visit and surely will not be my last.
The Gator Bites please get them and those house salads with that sweet bacon, Baby Jesus have mercy on me!!
Lana Lane (Goddess)

The food was delicious!! The drinks had something in it, which was a little bitter. I’m a sweet, mixed drink type of girl! Our server was very attentive. The food came out quickly. The creme brulee was soooo good!! I will definitely be back.

My family and I visited before heading to our concert downtown. It was a great choice. The food was fresh and drinks were good. One of the drinks wasn’t tasty but that was just personal preference. The service was good. The parking was ok. It was crowded and they could use some additional parking space.
Edkesha Anderson

After many years away from Pappadeaux, I finally decided to dine there again last night, and wow, what an experience! The food was absolutely fantastic, the service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was simply wonderful! Even though I’m from the great state of Mississippi and not usually a fan of Cajun food, I opted for the ribeye steak and let me tell you, it was a stellar choice! I used to have a go-to spot for steak, but Pappadeaux has now taken the crown. Their ribeye steak is top-notch—don’t sleep on it! I will definitely be returning!

Absolutely amazing experience at Haidilao Hot Pot in Birmingham! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed warmly by the staff. The atmosphere is lively and vibrant, perfect for a gathering with friends or family. The service here is top-notch – the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, and they’re always attentive without being intrusive.
The food is fresh and flavorful, with a huge variety of broths and ingredients to choose from. I especially loved the choice of dipping sauces, which allowed us to customize our flavors. And the robot servers? Such a fun, unique touch! The free snacks and even the aprons they provide show how much they care about creating a memorable experience. It’s truly more than just a meal; it’s an event.
Highly recommend Haidilao for anyone looking for an interactive and delicious dining experience in Birmingham! We’ll definitely be back!

Fantastic experience of something completely new. Staff is very attentive, polite, and smiling. We had so much fun cooking the food ourselves, fishing it out of the pot. Salad bar is very fresh, and little theatre with pasta was a nice addition. Very clean restaurant. They also have a robot delivering food. Very recommended.

Leo who greeted us at the door was also incredible thank you both! The food was great as always! Very veggie friendly and tasty! Cleanliness is off the scale as usual and a real 5* experience! Thank you to the whole team. We parked at Millennium point and it was only an 18 minute walk if you want decent parking!

Well seasoned, great portions, and great selections. I had a seafood platter, mac n cheese, and claw slaw. Even the slaw was good, which is usually a hit or miss. It’s a cute spot and came recommended from the hotel staff. Great call and very affordable.

Absolutely amazing dining experience!
The food was hot, fresh & well seasoned.
The ambiance is welcoming & waitstaff are attentive & kind.
Angela Alonzo-Zaiontz

everything was delicious except the crab claws (they seemed slightly over cooked a little tough & not well seasoned) everything else was delicious & our server was very attentive 1st time here & we all agreed we will be back!!

The Fish Market is truly a Birmingham classic. Great history in Birmingham that has shaped a lot of the cuisine in the area. Fantastic Greek restaurant run by the original founder/owner. Food was fantastic – had the Athenian Snapper – would definitely recommend. Bread was delicious. Also recommend the Greek family salad (feta cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers). Definitely will be returning to try more of the menu!
Tanner Godfrey

Excellent food and service. Apollo,, our server was very attentive and knowledgeable. We had the lunch catfish. Fried and grilled. The fried was not greasy as most fried seafood is. Very delicious. Greek Cole slaw was good. Highly recommend.

Customer Reviews
Good food and service. I had calamari for starters, which was really nice and perfectly cooked. For main I had chicken with potatoes, spinach and mushrooms- everything was nice, except from the chicken. I felt like it was slightly undercooked, it wasn’t pink inside but had a strange texture in the middle. For dessert I had the apple crumble, this was honestly amazing!! Loved every bite and would come back just for that!
The view from the restaurant is breathtaking, we were there during sunset , which made it even more magical!
There was a live DJ by the bar that night and played some good tunes! The atmosphere was lovely and relaxed, with very professional yet friendly staff.

Came today 22/12/24 for a family Christmas meal, 8 of us dined at 4pm-6pm. The Restaurants decor is lovely but the whole experience left us very disappointed.
The atmosphere was flat and for nearly an hour no background music until I asked why not?
My roast chicken lunch was a small, dry, overcooked chicken leg. I would have expected at least chicken breast meat for this level of restaurant.
Some of the ladies toilets were blocked and only a couple of them in use.
I really expected more than what we got today. Very disappointed with the whole experience. I will be sending an email to the restaurant.
Donna Mitchell-Talbot

Like many people we visited to use a gift voucher, ours was for 2 courses and prosecco.
Charging extra to sit near the window sets the scene for how the visit is going to go.
Bit disappointed to be seated at a table with crumbs and salt on, hadn’t been wiped properly since the last customer.
The menu choices were quite limited but we expected that. The starters were of good quality and flavours. Included in the voucher is a small 6oz butchers steak with surcharges on Sirloin, Ribeye or Fillet. We both took the sirloin upgrade and the steak was cooked exceptionally well, although mine was on the fatty side.
The chips provided were odd, several weren’t really cooked inside and had the texture and coating of a frozen chip, surely a chef wouldn’t put their name on a restaurant using cash and carry chips?
Service was mostly good except a drinks order going missing for a while. The automatic tip added isn’t just on the extras and drinks, but the value of the voucher too so is quite high. Overall the ‘free/gifted’ lunch cost an extra £50.
Toilets are rough with broken taps and adverts on the walls like a motorway services. Hard to tell what level they’re aiming at with the mixed levels of quality throughout.
Overall a good experience but not the level I’d expect having dined at other chef branded venues. Without the view it’s hard to see what stands out here.
Tom Lake

I have eaten here a long time ago, and wasn’t impressed, but that was a long time ago…
Since then I’ve popped to the bar for drinks a few times, but never stayed too long as a little pricey.
However, for views, terrace and something different as you bar hop, it’s worth a visit.
I’m planning to try the food again, so will update my reviews in time…
Naz Nazarali

I think the atmosphere and the food are fantastic. Was a bit disappointed with the amount of time they took to bring out food, considering we pre ordered food. On top of that, they had to check everyone’s orders over, although they had the orders printed out on everyone’s seat. Other than a few hiccups in service of food, the service was great and caring. They showed a lot of attention to our dietary needs, which showed their care for their customers. Therefore, I am leaving a 5-star review despite a bit of dissapoint, because sometimes being patient brings out a better and more pleasant meal.

Lovely venue with nice atmosphere, had nice soup, chicken dinner and cheesecake. Roast dinner was great, only issue was roast potatoes were slightly undercooked and there could be a few real ales on tap (at least I missed them if there was). Really nice old building and venue to eat at/ have a few drinks

We were early to arrive but sat at the bar while our table was getting ready. The food was amazing and desserts delicious. We had cocktails from the 2 for £12 and they were spot on. We were also given two free cocktails made accidently by the barman…. Hubby was pleased! Overall we really enjoyed our evening with our daughters and would definitely recommend a visit.

Highly recommend, my family and I came to celebrate my mom’s birthday over the weekend and had an incredible time! We booked theatre tickets right after our meal and honestly didn’t want to leave because the atmosphere was fantastic, lively, and the great music added to the ambiance. We had pizza and the black truffle rigatoni, all very delicious!
Daniel is a real asset to your team, he really took care of us and made our experience even better!
Thank you to Daniel and the team for being so accommodating! We will definitely be returning.
Steph May

The place is beautiful and service was very friendly and accomodating. Some of the dishes were really good and some very average.Definitely recommend the Festa carne pizza..thin base and busting with flavour! They have a specific cocktail list on offer which is two of the same for £12 which a fantastic deal and cocktails are not your standard ones. Pork was so overdone, couldn’t cut into but server very kindly replaced it with another dish. The Lamb grill platter was okay. The kofta was way overdone.Squid and chicken thigh starters were nice! I would come again for the cocktails and the lovely atmosphere!

Visited Tattu Birmingham for my birthday as a group of 2 and our waiter; Christina was amazing. She helped us navigate what to order and recommended us cocktails which we ended up really enjoying. Also super friendly.
After getting the bill I mentioned it was my birthday and received a plate from our waiter saying happy birthday with a fortune cookie. Felt it was really thoughtful and a cute touch. Definitely made my day.
Beautiful place. 100% would recommend to family and friends.
Kimberley

We had the most excellent experience here. Wonderful service and the staff were super knowledgeable about their ingredients. Allergies were taken very seriously and we’ll-catered for.
Food was great, all the dishes were prepared with great care and attention to detail.
The ambience was lovely though the music was a bit too loud and bass-y. Luckily they were able to accommodate us at a quieter table.
Audrey Teo

Surprisingly good. The food is great and tasty. Service staff wonderful and environment sublime. If you are celebrating a birthday or anniversary, come here. If you are not celebrating than… come too. There must be something to celebrate at Tattu. Well done Chef and team

I celebrated my 30th birthday at Tattu, and honestly, it was AMAZING! From the moment we walked in, the vibe was just perfect – the decor is stunning and the whole place feels otherworldly.
The food? Delicious! Every dish looked like a work of art and tasted even better. But what really made the night was the service. Our server, Adam, was an absolute gem! He was so friendly, super attentive, and made sure everything was spot on. The rest of the staff were just as lovely – everyone was so welcoming and made me feel really special.
It was such a perfect way to spend my birthday, and I can’t wait to go back!
Joanna Kelly

Second time dining at Tattu. First time I was with a group so didn’t really take photos.
This food is absolutely delicious every time!!!! Each time we’ve been lucky enough to get a private booth. The service is perfect! The servicing staff are polite, helpful, friendly. The food is absolutely worth every single penny!!!!
The decor is lush. The venue is warm. The toilets are clean. I literally don’t have a negative thing to say apart from I wanted to eat more!!!!!

As always my experience was phenomenal! Love the vibe and food. I would love to point out two outstanding waiters: Mr. Jalal and Ms. Atiya. She always has a beautiful smile and joy. I hope the management holds on to these fine people. My wife and I had a blast. Keep it up!

A multi cuisine restaurant with all the food variety from every corner of the world. Hundred of delicious dishes. Freshly made food. Very tasty and delicious. Lots of live counters. And a very lively atmosphere. Services are also good. This is one of the most sought after multi cuisine restaurant in UK, in my view. A must visit for any food loving person.
Pradeep Kumar Rajoo

Love their buffet. Very reasonable and food is amazing too. They have a wild bean cafe and think it’s the only cafe serving coffee until 9-10 PM, very reasonably priced and tastes good too.

I have to start with Atiya… what a great member to the Jimmy Spices team; an absolute golden gem to the company! This girl was so welcoming to me and my family; we were greeted so beautifully and fully taken care of during our visit at the restaurant; the best experience ever.
We have been Jimmy Spices before, and tbh we’ve always had a great experience with the services, the food and the atmosphere; but on this occasion, because of Atiya… I felt obliged to leave a review.
Tasty Fresh Food (cooked in front of you)
Great Family Offers (kids eat FREE)
10/10 Staff (especially Atiya)
Clean and Tidy Seating
10/10 Service (constantly topping up cutlery, napkins and clearing plates on our table)
10/10 Atmosphere (smiling staff and happy customers)
Overall I would visit this establishment again and again… keep up the GREAT work guys!!

***Review 1***
So I’m giving San Carlo a 3 out of 5 rating, which I feel is very reasonable.
Let’s start with the positive! The food was actually DELICIOUS!!!! The steak and oysters were to die for!
The reason I’m only giving 3 stars is for the service. Now, let me say that the staff were very apologetic but it still ruined the experience slightly.
Our reservation was for 7.30pm, we arrived on time as we were already in the area. The table wasn’t ready so we were asked to wait at the bar. At 8.05pm we were still waiting for our table. At around 8.15pm we were seated and our order was taken. At 8.45pm we still hadn’t even had any drinks. I know this seems a little harsh, but 3 out of my 4 plates were cold/raw and didn’t even require cooking.
There was no option to remove the service which I didn’t feel was deserved.
Was the food worth it, ABSOLUTELY!
***Review 2***
After having a horrendous experience at The Oyster Club we decided to walk over the road to San Carlo.
I have to say against all odds, we were able to be seated immediately.
The food was served waaaaay quicker this time and the restaurant itself seem to be running a lot smoother!!!
Again, the food was very nice quality. The Chablis wine is delicious!!!!
They’ve definitely redeemed themselves, which has made me edit and improve my Review.
Thank you for saving my birthday meal!!!!

we had pre booked our table of six for the afternoon- we arrived to a wonderful air conditioned room… which we appreciated as it was quite muggy outside The staff were curtious and helpful. And we were quickly seated at our table – drinks service was quick. The Menu offered a good selection. Again Service was good and polite. Food arrived quickly, hot and well presented. By the time we left it was very busy. Would definitely recommend
Sarah

I’ve always believed that having great food alone doesn’t make a restaurant exceptional. What truly sets a place apart is the combination of perfect cuisine, outstanding customer service, and a kind soul at the helm. Gea, the manager at San Carlo, embodies all of these qualities. Her dedication to ensuring a flawless dining experience, coupled with her warm and welcoming nature, makes every visit to San Carlo a delight. It’s this rare blend of excellence that turns a good restaurant into an extraordinary one. Thank you, Gea, for making every meal memorable.

Pretty restaurant, feels very luxe but prices are decently affordable, recommend for a date during a nice day out in the city. Food was tasty and hot when served.

We had booked for today’s lunch giving us two hours until we had to leave for the theatre.
The restaurant was very busy.
We chose for the ‘festive Christmas’ set menu and both had the mushrooms as a starter.
The mushrooms were served with toasted bread but were very cold.
We informed staff who didn’t seem that concerned about this.
Service was so slow we had to leave for the theatre without our desserts.
Our main meals were fine.
We did ask if we could return later to have our desserts, and we could.

Customer Reviews
This place was off the chain! We stopped in on a Saturday night and the music was righteous, as was the food. Yup- I said it. The music was righteous. The service was top notch. Rachel is amazing. But the DJ and the food were top shelf. Had to be the best flavored and best cooked boil we have had. If you want to get down and get your grub on- hit this place up. It’s not for the faint of heart but it is an experience you will never forget- guaranteed!

The food was good…just wish it was a little bit more. I ordered the 1/2lb of crab legs. Usually, this bag would come with 3 potatoes, quite a few sausage and at least 2 pieces of corn. I only received 1 potato, 1 piece of corn (I love corn so I ordered a 2nd piece), and light sauce. Don’t know what’s going on but I was a little disappointed. Any other time, my bag would be how I just mentioned (plentiful). Customer service- our waitress stated that she wasn’t informed that she had guest in her section so we were sitting there for a minute before our drink orders were taken. Even though the customer service was decent, she smelled loudly of marijuana. I have nothing to do at all with what people choose to do in their spare time but when you’re at work…come on now. Don’t think my family and I will be going back to this location but depending on the atmosphere you prefer, go forth.

The seafood bag was not fresh it was reheated after being prepackaged by special that was being offered. The taste was simply horrible.

The Crab Barrack is very close to my work. I have not had the opportunity to go inside until today. I was greeted by two very courteous women behind the bar. Not only were they genuinely nice, they were also helpful and knowledgeable about their place of employment. I was there for business so I was not able to order to eat any of the food, but the bar was very clean as well as the restaurant. On my way out, I asked her for a To- go menu. The one thing that I really wanted to eat were crab claws. Unfortunately, I did not see them on the menu.

I love their food, service has always been great, but we stopped eating in the restaurant because the music is always too loud. One of our waitresses turned it down for us once, and someone else turned it right back up. The music is so loud that we can’t even hear our waitress and she can’t hear our order. We buy our food carry out now which isn’t nearly as good because it’s not as fresh by the time we get home.

This will be an account of my experience at this restaurant. To get a more complete feel of the place I suggest you look at other people’s posts of the restaurant.
Service:
We had an extra person join our group last minute and front desk was willing to accommodate all of us and find a free table to fit us all (I would advise making sure you book a table when you are sure of the group size). Throughout our time there, we had a dedicated person attending to our needs, doing regular check-ups on us to make sure we are okay in between orders. The restaurant was well staffed so we did not get to a point of trying to get the attention of any service person passing by.
Food:
I had ordered the Grain-fed Ribeye (350g) prime steak and the restaurant didn’t disappoint and served it to my liking. The food presentation was to a high level. We had enough cutlery on the table as well as salt and peppers. The table didn’t not feel cluttered, I felt like there was enough space to eat and put my belongings if I so chose.
Drinks:
I just ordered red-wine to compliment my steak, and I must say it tasted good, not too harsh.
Overall the restaurant is on the high-end. The menu is on the pricey side but there are some meals in there that are on the lower price bracket that are also good. The restaurant is well lit, but unfortunately If you are a person who likes taking pictures in restaurants, this restaurant does not have a dedicated space for that, it is only at your table that you can do that.

Came for anniversary dinner and although the food was quite nice, it didn’t warrant the price tag.
The restaurant is really nice inside but we were sat by a very loud table and instead of a nice relaxing dinner we just got a headache. The waitress was nice but service was very slow, took 20 mins just to get a drink of water and another 20 for proper drinks and our booking was at 4:30.
The food was nice but I wasn’t wowed really, I’ve had nicer burgers for a lot less.
Unfortunately we were hoping to treat ourselves and was quite disappointed so I wouldn’t recommend going here

Nice location at the bank of some water body( not sure) but great cinema and outdoor activities’
Reaching there is a kind of project.
Staff is lovely!
Audience is smashing’ mouthwatering dressing sense I’m digressing again!
Food choice is amazing’ hummus starter and scallop’ stuffed Aubergines etc was nice too.Serving size is smaller tho: Steak came rare despite ordering medium so asked for a reheat. However they did recompense by cooking again! But total wait time is around 1-2 hours so u can have a great walk around or pick a friendship while curbing ur appetite.
Over all a great place to sit and enjoy loud music.
Have a great bunch of people to admire their fashion sense, made me feel totally a fraud to wear a nice wool coat and temperature controlled body thermals.
Drinks were A hit… ☺️

Great place located in city centre but with canal view. The food was amazing! We had an anniversary meal here and there was 4 of us so we spent over £160 but I guess this is normal spend for a meal. We liked the flowers on the wall and service was truly helpful and nice.

Really lovely location and service throughout the meal. Staff were very attentive I felt at times little to much as we got asked if had any allergies by 5 different members of staff. I appreciate it’s very important! As I work in hospitaly myself. But despite this the food was really good! And I think very reasonable for the current times. Special mention to Alam who was great throughout. Very friendly.
