Had a fantastic time at Turtle Bay! The food was absolutely delicious – packed with bold Caribbean flavors and cooked to perfection. Food and cocktails were fabulous at the bottomless brunch . I had the chicken jerk roti with sweet potato fries which was delicious. Jai was our server and she was attentive, friendly and amazing. She needs a pay rise as she is so good. Xx will be back very soon.

Fabulous bottomless brunch at Turtle Bay. Drinks were gorgeous and plentiful. Service was perfect and Samantha was great! My only grumble is the salmon was overcooked but the jerk gravy is incredible!

Great choice of starters but if you’re looking for flavours and meat get straight to the main event and enjoy!

The staff are super attentive and will have your food flowing constantly, don’t forget to turn your badge over or you will be missing out on some delicious food!

Lovely place with a great atmosphere. The food was good overall, and the meat in particular was delicious. However, we think it would be better if they went back to how it was before, when you could help yourself to sides and starters instead of waiting for them to be brought to the table sometimes the wait can be quite long. It would feel more like a classic rodizio that way. Everything we tried was tasty, and we still enjoyed our visit.

Beautiful food. I loved how they came and offered you different cuts of meat and they kept coming. All the meat was beautiful. The salad bar is much more then that. Great place which I will return to. Totally stuffed

Fazenda never ever disappoints. My go to place for a special occasion. Food of the highest quality served in the most authentic surroundings by attentive staff. Went to celebrate a 30th with a newborn in the party of 6. Table located where we could accommodate the pram next to the table. Excellent changing facilities available so mom could relax and know her evening was going to be pleasant too. Unexpectedly they brought out cake with a candle for birthday boy. Margaritas were delicious. Buffet food was top notch with so much variety. The bill was going to be big but not unexpected for the quality of every part of that meal. You get what you pay for and we were all walking out with overly full bellies.

A great restaurant! Service was continuous & they did not skimp out on the portions. On the more expensive side but definitely worth the money for the service and abundance of food provided. Servers are more than willing to give you more & extra portions, and everything was cooked nicely and very flavourful.

Salad bar was also very nice and would make a great meal alone.

Shrimp & Co in Birmingham Five Ways is honestly one of my favourite places to eat. The shrimp is always so juicy, full of flavour, and cooked just right. Every dish feels loaded with taste and it never gets boring.

Their Tuesday and Thursday deals are amazing too—great value for money and a perfect excuse to keep going back. I’ve probably been here more times than I can count, and I’ve started bringing different friends and family along each time. Without fail, everyone I take loves it just as much as I do.

The vibe is fun, the food comes out tasting fresh every time, and it’s one of those places you just know you’ll enjoy whenever you go. Definitely a top spot in Birmingham for me!

The food was fantastic! I was with a party of five, three of whom ordered the first dish shown in the images, while my mum and I opted for the seafood boil for one, which is represented in the second and third images.

As you can see, the portion sizes are generous, so we ended up sharing. We also tried the spicy mac and cheese, but we all agreed that we would have preferred to try the original version for comparison. The drinks were refreshing and complemented the food well, although there were no alcoholic beverages available.

I would recommend reviewing the menu beforehand or taking your time with it, as there’s a lot to choose from. Unfortunately, there was a bit of a language barrier with our waiter, which made it difficult for him to guide us. His table manners could have used some improvement, and he left before we finished our meal, so we were left without assistance. While I understand that his shift ended, he could have informed us and assigned another server to help. Fortunately, his colleague, a young lady, stepped in and was pleasant and accommodating.

There is parking available nearby, but the reviews about it made me feel uneasy, so I chose to take an Uber, and that turned out to be a great decision.

I recently visited Shrimp & Co and had a lovely experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a casual meal with friends or family. I ordered the shrimp tacos and was pleasantly surprised by how fresh and flavorful they were—the seasoning was spot on, and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. The side of fries was crispy and seasoned just right.

The service stood out as well—our server was friendly, attentive, and made great recommendations. Even though the restaurant was busy, we didn’t feel rushed at all. Everything came out in good time and was presented beautifully.

Overall, Shrimp & Co exceeded my expectations. It’s a great spot if you’re looking for quality seafood with a relaxed vibe. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

Everything is great. The fried cod is very smooth. The shrimp and mussels are very delicious, and the mussel sauce is especially unique. It was a bit oily, so it would have been nice to enjoy it with a beer, but unfortunately it wasn’t on the menu.

The prawns were not as seasoned and as spicy as I usually like, but ok nevertheless. Not sure I’d choose those again.
I like the idea that no alcohol is served there, so no rowdy behaviour when you’re there with small children. Mocktails are delicious.
Only bugbear, staff bringing mains out when there was no room on the table and we were halfway through starters.
Having said that, will definitely be back to try other dishes!

Although we went there near closing time, staff were accommodating . Food was really good , especially liked solo sailor platter. They also provided us with gloves which made it easier. Will definitely visit again.

10 10. First time coming here and I can say was not disappointed. From the warm welcome as you enter the restaurant to the smiles the staff give in general when attending to other customers. The food was amazing, I ordered wayyyyy too much lol but was given a box to take food home. Needless to say I’ll be returning in the near future. Thank you Shrimp & Co staff for a pleasant evening. This restaurant has many locations throughout Birmingham. Located near the UAB Kirkland Clinic right across the parking lot shared with Dunkin Doughnuts. Always great hospitality and there was no waiting for a table. Love that this location offers an affordable lunch of a drink with two sides or a salad and an entree for $15.99. As with other locations, the team assures that the food is served as soon as it hits the window. It’s busy during lunch and sometimes if you need a refill on your drink, there is a self serve area. Overall, the food quality remains consistently good at all locations. There is a reason this restaurant chain had been around for awhile, good food and hospitality.

For a Friday night, the 30-minute wait was surprisingly short. My sister and I were meeting up with a friend from high school, and it was the perfect spot to catch up. Our server, Tristen, was friendly and attentive throughout the evening.

I ordered the Maryland crab cake. While it was nicely presented, I have to admit—being familiar with authentic Maryland crab cakes, this one didn’t quite compare. That said, the atmosphere more than made up for it. The restaurant was warm and inviting, with additional space available for larger parties of 10 to 12 guests, which was great to see.

My sister had the Tuscany Salmon, which was flavorful and well-prepared. Our friend went with the Shrimp Alfredo and enjoyed it. The portion sizes were generous across the board.

All in all, it was a lovely dining experience. Given the chance, I’d definitely return and try something new on the menu.

Loved this place, was buzzing at lunch hour but very large space so easy to find a bar spot without waiting. Mahi, greens, angel hair slaw and the mini hushpuppy (chicken nugget size) were all excellent. Didn’t have anything but the oyster selections and drink menu looked pretty choice

Great seafood and Greek and Cajun cousine. Nice atmosphere with several items for sale inside, including Greek themed dinnerware and souvenirs. A great selection of wines, and beers too! You can opt for sit down dining and place your order with a server. Or place your order at the counter, and a server will bring your order to your table. Really good food, very limited parking, and a very cramped restaurant overall. But if your ok with that , not a bad dining experience. Moderately priced menu items, quite a bit cheaper to be here at lunch time.

The food was great Service was good . I had no complaints..But then I seen a bug which sadly affected the rest of my experience

I actually hope id never have to come back here again, I ordered fish tacos and I’ve never EVER seen no fish tacos that look like that… its so unappealing and unappetizing I feel sick. They give you a couple of toppings on the side in containers and even those cant help the dish. Plain purple onions, feta cheese, and chip salsa…The fried pickles I got had potential their just way too salty and the fries are just plain. Our server was also extremely moody and rude but I understand everyone has their days .This is my 2nd time here and 2nd time having a bad experience.

Rice was a major let down – was too hard & tasted stale. When mentioned to a waitress, she told us that others have complained about the rice before & this is due to turmeric apparently

Had good time, friendly staff, tasty food platter we eate. Quantity provided was sufficient along with plenty rice and chips well thought then others, value for money reasonably charged which is plus point, great work guys will definitely vist again and will recommend others who are seafood lovers. Keep the same unique concept of no menu overpricing/quantity/quality/ambience which is best I have seen comparing others seafood places and you are doing great.

Excellent food. Big portions. The staff was very attentive. Great attention to detail. Changing our bin 2 times during our meal. Very fast. The food was served in less than 10 minutes.

Good food, portions are great and the sauces are a great complement to the meals. Our servers were both really good, and despite being busy they stopped at our table to make sure everything is fine. Had sea food boil platter for one and had plenty to takeout

Excellent. Went with my mum and sister and the food tasted fab; you get your money’s worth. Polite staff and friendly environment great for a night out and family. Apple crumble was gorgeous. I asked for more custard, and they happily provided it. We went for the most expensive boil, which has two lobster tails and bigger sized shrimps. We also each had cocktails and dessert, hence the price per person was high but you can still have a good time for less than £20pp if you go for the cheaper platters (quality is the same and the smaller shrimps are still a great size). So something for every budget. Toilet wasn’t bad but could be better maintained.
I am already planning to return with my husband and kids. They loved the leftovers we brought home.

If you’re a seafood lover, Shrimp Shack in Birmingham city centre is a must-visit! The restaurant is very popular, so booking a table in advance—especially on weekends—is highly recommended.

Our food took about 30 minutes to arrive, but it was absolutely worth the wait. The presentation was top-notch, and every bite was delicious. The shrimp was perfectly cooked—so tender that it practically melted in your mouth. We ordered a platter for three, and the portion was generous, easily satisfying all of us.

The only downside is the pricing, which is a bit on the higher side, likely due to its central location. However, for the quality of food and experience, it’s justifiable.

Highly recommend Shrimp Shack for seafood enthusiasts. It’s a gem in the heart of Birmingham.

So many people recommend this restaurant so my wife and I decided to give it a try.
We ordered 5 different types of oysters each as appetizers. Then my wife had 17 days aged red snapper (oven roasted) and I had a regular red snapper.
Then we ordered 2 desserts. Plus we had several drinks each mainly draft beer.
The bill was almost $300. I guess you should expect that at a “high end restaurant” like this.
Let’s just say the food was definitely not worth the price – red snapper dishes were $50 a plate and didn’t even come with sides – we ordered a couple of sides (red potatoes and okra – some of okra was so tough it was inedible).
Food was not bad, please don’t take me wrong. It was pretty good. And the waiter we had was very nice, courteous and knowledgeable about the food. But we can get just as tasty seafood at a place like Fish Market at 1/3 or less price.
When we go to a restaurant like this and pay that much money ($300 for dinner of 2 is a lot of money for us), we’d like to be very impressed. I could have cooked everything that we had there myself for a lot less – I guess that’s why we don’t go out to each all that much anymore.

The valet driver took photos for us and he was SOOOOO kind and sweet and AMAZING!! Absolutely needs a raise!! He’s definitely a professional, amazing service and our server was so sweet too she was working behind the bar and so friendly! 10/10

If you haven’t been to Automatic Seafood and Oysters yet, this is your sign to knock it off your BHAM restaurant list. It is everything it is hyped up to be. I’ve now been at least twice for both dinner and brunch. Both phenomenal menus! If you go for dinner, just pray that the fish collar/cheek is on the menu. It will change your perspective on life. Pictured is what I chose for bunch (only because they were out of the Crab Cake Benedict). They usually have a choice of 6-8 different oysters you can choose from, but for brunch there wasn’t an option. DIDN’T MATTER, these oysters we like butter. Worth every penny.

We had heard great things about Automatic ever since it opened and finally confirmed for ourselves that it’s one of the best spots in Birmingham. The food, the service, the atmosphere—all excellent. We had the yeast rolls, fish collars, a variety of oysters, shrimp fried rice, grouper, and key lime pie. Everything was delicious, and our server, Billy, was awesome (super friendly and made great recommendations). Strongly recommend. We’ll definitely be back.

I found myself being very disappointed coming to this place after being highly recommended from somebody famous. The setting and the atmosphere is superb. The menu is pricy and I get the restaurant business up selling is a good thing, but when it becomes talking down to the customer and pushing the up sale of a glass of wine is ridiculous. And then constantly pushing to order appetizers or oysters before even get relaxed. Then happy hour ends at 5 PM??? This is a money grab this place they’re selling bougie and show off at a price. so I order a glass of Chardonnay and the bartender that sees to tell me that it’s not a real Chardonnay it’s gonna taste totally different than what you’re thinking and what you’re expecting and it’s really not gonna compliment. What ever you’re gonna eat with the pallet choice you decide on food and you should get this class or this class and they were almost double the price what a joke and I’m in the business so I know what I want. so instead of ordering my Carolina oysters having the fish dip and order an entrée, I said, just give me a Titos and vodka and went down the street to another place.

Who would have guessed fired oyster are my favorite now! The atmosphere is top tier the service and the food was simply wonderful! The drinks were crafted to perfection! The decor was everything it’s easy to lose track of time in a relaxing enjoyable environment.

First time eating here and the atmosphere was great. Made reservations and was seated right away. Our server was Anabelle and she was very knowledgeable and polite. Drinks were very good as well as the various oysters. The timing of the dishes were spot on except for one of the entrees being a few minutes behind the others. The temperature of my fish was on the colder side which shocked me but it had good flavor. I ordered the warm bread pudding and sent it back due to it being ice cold inside. I was shocked the manager never stopped by once to check on us as other similar restaurants in the area like Ocean’s do. Enjoyed the atmosphere but will probably explore other restaurants in the area.

Always wanted to try a seafood boil so was super exited when I saw the menu from outside, food was absolutely amazing I wasn’t disappointed so full off flavour and you get a huge portion for the price, I really can’t wait to go back again I will definitely have it less spicy next time though but honestly the food in his place is out off this world!! Service was lacking rather slow waited ages to order and ages for drinks but the food made up for it! Highly recommended

Great chips but the fish was just not that nice, batter was brittle and seemed to retain the oil from frying instead of being light and crispy.
Upstairs has a great view at the back and service was good. Small choice of canned drinks.

Had a really nice meal here last night. The haddock was fresh and flakey. The chips were perfect and the accompanying curry sauce was tasty too. The service was good. Our waitress was friendly. The toilets were clean. One of the best places for fish and chips in Birmingham and it’s nice to be able to sit down and eat inside.

The best fish and chips in Birmingham! It’s our favorite place for my wife and our 18 months old son. The staff is friendly, and the service is excellent. A friend of my son always gives him a chocolate bar when we visit. Since we moved to Birmingham in 2017 this has been our all-time favorite spot for fish and chips. ❤️

We had our lunch here today for the first time and it was superb we both had fish and chips and it was exceptional. The service was brilliant and all told fantastic experience we will be back, thanks to the people and food at dads fish and chips. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Double fried fish!! Inedible and gross!! Massively disappointed when it is £8.60 and 8.80 for fish.

Visited for the first time today 5pm. Paid £11 for cod and chips. I never mind paying a lot if the food is good. Unfortunately the fish and chips were stale. The batter was dark brown. I’m guessing I got a fish cooked early afternoon which may have been reheated. Disappointed as lots of people rave about how good it is. Unfortunately I won’t be a returning customer.

Have eaten in here twice and also had a takeaway. Fish and chips is excellent and the chips are cooked superbly. Cosy seating area on ground and first floor. Very friendly serving staff. The food is served very quickly and hot. I recommend to anyone who enjoys Fish and chips to eat here as you will not be disappointed.

Food was absolutely stunning. Service was very average and poor. There was Lack of service attitude from the member of staff first They told us that one side of the restaurant is closed as we demand for the Booth Because we had An infant with us but later on at the same place we have seen other customers being seated. Also the staff seem to be forced to be nice. This is just a personal opinion. That’s the only downside of the place but one thing is absolute genuine and appreciates To the customers that the food quality is Nice enough I really hope the place can do way better than it is now.

The atmosphere was decent overall, though the floors were surprisingly slippery. I even asked the waitress if it was just me, but she admitted they were used to it, which suggests it’s a reoccurring thing. Service could use some improvement; three different waitresses came over to confirm my order, even though I was clear the first time, which was a bit distracting. It was also hard to get their attention when needed, and the walls near where we sat could have been cleaner.

That said, the food more than made up for it. The turmeric rice was the best I’ve ever had, and the prawns, cod fillet and lamb chops were excellent. The pasta was delicious, and the drinks were just as enjoyable. To finish, the dessert was absolutely sumptuous—rich, balanced, and as close to perfection as it gets.

Overall, the meal was worth every penny, and despite the small drawbacks, I’d definitely come back again.

We fell in love with Jimmy’s Killer Prawns when visited Limassol in Cyprus and it was so great ti find out we have one in Birmingham now!
The food is amazing here too and the prawns are the best! Since our last visits the costumer service has improved and the staff is more attentive and polite.
The only the negative comment is the cleaning sprays, they use for the tables, have a very strong smell, which is not good for the people, who consume the food next to it and, also, for guests with asthma and allergies. It that could be changed, would be great.
We hope to visit this place more often.

Been meaning to come here for a while. The place itself is lovely aesthetically very pleasing and clean and tidy. The food was lovely no complaints. The staff were very poor, felt like they didn’t want to be there no pleases no thank yous and no one even came to check if the food was ok. We asked for some gloves and no one came back to us. The prices for what you get are very steep. The experience was decent but staff need to show more enthusiasm and politeness. They do accept card as well.

First visit to a Jimmy’s in the UK and we were not disappointed. Took a chance and travelled 85 miles but it was definitely worth it. Lovely food, freshly cooked and very tasty. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Well done to to the whole team. See you again soon!

Today we went to Jimmys killer Prawns in Birmingham! It’s about a 15-minute drive from the city centre, and there’s a car park available — pretty convenient.
The manager was very attentive, the place was clean, and the staff were super friendly. Our food arrived about 10 minutes after we ordered — really fast!

We ordered the medium-spicy prawns for six people — absolutely delicious! But I’d recommend just ordering five portions if there are five of you. I couldn’t finish it and had to pack the rest to go, haha!

Aujourd’hui, on est allés chez Jimmys killer Prawns à Birmingham ! C’est à environ 15 minutes du centre-ville en voiture, et il y a un parking — super pratique.
Le manager était très attentionné, l’endroit était propre, et le personnel très sympathique. On a reçu nos plats environ 10 minutes après avoir commandé — super rapide !

On a commandé des crevettes moyennement épicées pour six personnes — c’était vraiment délicieux ! Mais je recommande de prendre cinq portions si vous êtes cinq, car je n’ai pas pu tout finir et j’ai dû emporter le reste, haha !

We had been dreaming of coming here with our pup, yes, their outdoor seating is pet friendly . Staff were very attentive and kind. They even turned on the heaters for us without us asking, which we greatly appreciated as it was a very windy and cold day. The lobster and shrimp were a little overlooked for my taste, but the overall was fantastic. Would love to go back!

Very fresh seafood, the shrimp cocktail and crab claws were delicious. Their wine and alcohol selection were very nice. The waitor was extremely accommodating. The only complaint is that the green beans and potatoes served with the lobster were bland, seemingly just boiled and salted. A bit disappointing for one of the most expensive dishes on the menu (the lobster itself was great).

Small 55 seat spot right off the busy area of downtown Birmingham. Quaint and small, but not crowded with the arrangement of tables.

3. Our server was very knowledgeable and gave us some great selections and some interesting facts about some of the food origins.
4. I wish I could sit here all day and eat everything, but having a smathering of shareables was the way to go. Everything came out great, fresh, nice garnish and presentation.
5. Nice little dessert and apertif menu.
Definitely recommend if you’re craving some food outside of a packed restaurant.

Truly delicious and worth the wait. Perfect location. The dark chocolate creme brulee is out of this world. We had one roll left and I asked for it to be boxed with my salad. I just put the left overs in the fridge and saw that instead of just the one, I received three rolls in their own container. Beautiful touch and service. Thank you!
