Lovely place to visit with your family. Restaurant atmosphere is fabulous, traditional decor. Food was amazingly delicious. Highly recommend for chicken tikka biryani and butter chicken. They served Chinese cuisine as well. Highly recommended.

Really nice food and experience. Wanted to visit for a while and have their Dishoom book. Bacon naan was one I had recreated at home but went with other options today. Would return and recommend.
Shane Leavesley

First time dining at Dishoom and it far exceeded my expectations. Loved everything from the service, food and atmosphere. Our server Alex was professional and kind the whole way through. Will definitely be back to use our complementary £10 voucher per person. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ all round.
Renecia Thompson

Wonderful place and the server Zuzana she was awesome she is well trained and knows how to cater guest and make them comfortable. What ever she recommended we loved it. Had a great family time. Will visit you soon
Umar Anwar

Nice hip restaurant, delicious fresh Indian fusion food with frequently changing menus. Good friendly and efficient service.
It’s not super cheap though, at £30-35 a head for a main course with a nan bread and a beer (including service charge). A bit noisy too, so maybe not ideal for a couple date.
Stephen Psallidas

Delicious Bombay-inspired modern Indian. The curries are delicious and the service is great. To avoid long waits during peak dining periods, advance reservations are advisable.
Highly recommend the okra fries, pau bahji (one order is good for sharing); the House Black Daal and the Goan Monkfish Curry. Everything was delicious.
Service was efficient and friendly.

Customer Reviews
The experience here was great, it’s my first time visiting and the customer service was amazing, Sanija K was really nice whilst attending to us and made sure you were fine.
The ambience and aesthetic are great as well, love the mirrors!
Loved the food, well seasoned and cooked. I had the Tama feast with rice.
The drink was refreshing, absolutely loved the Bombay cooler.
All in all, everything was nice. Thank you!

Fantastically designed restaurant. We went for an early dinner and it was quite busy. Despite this, our food came out extremely quick and the wait staff checked on us regularly. I had a nice window seat in the corner where I could people watch. I’ve had better Indian food but the meat was succulent in the curry.
Trevelle

Waited 25 min for table not bad for a Saturday night! Vast menu options even non alcoholic drinks pretty good! Super tasty food, had to wait quite a lot longer for one dish than the rest but I guess that’s what happens when it’s all freshly made. Really very cramped seating, tables close together, all packed constantly, not great for disabled access at all. Menu stated that a tip will automatically be added for groups over 6, so as a 2 we didn’t expect it to be automatically added. Didn’t feel the service was remarkable enough to warrant a tip over £7 to be honest but it was far too loud and busy to ask to have this removed, usually I’m one to tip a few quid happily. Would probably go back when it’s quieter in the day time
Aiesha

The food was delicious! Although being an Indian, I would say the spice level was not upto my personal standards but the overall taste was worth every penny.
Ambience: Ambience is like any other restaurant. It is quite good. Music plays constantly so it is not noisy due to people. Washroom was clean, odourless and well maintained.
Drinks: Oh drinks were beautiful! Yeah you read that right.. Beautiful! See the pic in the review.
Food: It is definitely worth every penny. The Amritsari Fish was crispy on the outside but melting in my mouth on each bite! Definitely one of the best fish starter I had. Thali was quite delicious. My wife enjoyed it. Naans were soft and buttery. Loved every bite. Can work on spice level though on request.

Myself and my partner went to this restaurant during our short stay in Birmingham. It was by far the best food we ate during our stay. Full of flavour. The staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. The food was incredible. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Got a very nice sizeable discount from Just Eat and decided on this place.
I had the beef lasagne which was lovely and I would give this dish 4 stars. A bigger portion size would score the full 5. It came with chips which are quite unique with the some of the skin on.
A family member had the chicken steak and was very disappointed with it, saying it was hard. Half of it was given to our cat who at least tucked in. 2 stars for this.
I have eaten-in in the past and it’s a nice experience. Some items on the menu are good, others poor.
Overall the food does not live up to the eye watering prices.

We had a lovely experience at the restaurant on a beautiful day out. The aesthetics of the restaurant were really appealing, with cozy yet modern vibes. The food was excellent- we tried both the vegetable and beef lasagnas, and they were delicious, perfectly cooked and flavourful. They also offer a Sunday roast, which is definitely something we’ll be back to try.
The service was fantastic, our waiter Mohammed Hashim was extremely attentive and all the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. Overall, a fantastic dining experience with great food and wonderful service!
Asma Jamil

Alam Restaurant offers an absolutely wonderful dining experience with a beautiful atmosphere that sets the mood from the moment you enter. The customer service is friendly and attentive, adding to the welcoming ambiance. One unique feature is their modern approach to ordering—guests must scan a QR code to access the menu online. While this system is innovative and convenient, it can make it a bit harder to compare items compared to a traditional printed menu.
As for the food, it was delicious! I opted for the Sunday roast, which was not only flavorful but also incredibly filling. The restaurant offers high-end dining at reasonable prices, making it a great option for both a family and friends outing.
Highly recommend a visit!

I went to @alam.restaurant again and don’t fall for the same trap! They just have such a huge menu of all sorts of dishes but I wish I tried their proper desi dishes.
Honestly don’t fill yourself up with their mixed grills and sides, because this Nihari was brilliant.
I’ve had the best Nihari’s from Pakistan and this resonated with that. I didn’t expect it to be this good. Even the biryani had a nice spice to it. What makes it even better is their naans are excellent. Thin with a nice toasted base.
I did try new dishes on their menu such as the Chicken Parmesan, Chicken Tikka and wings – all pretty good and nice they have a good selection of western food for those that want it.
Lots of “nice” looking spots I go to just don’t have the real Pakistani food. The Nihari here was serious. Please try it and tell me I’m not mad because it was real authentic imo.
I’ve come a few times before and what bought me back was their Achari ghosht which is excellent and now I’ve found something even better. Respect @alam.restaurant for doing some proper desi food
Halal Food Therapy

The service provided at this restaurant used to be great but it has gone downhill.
We ordered a donner main, it was ordinary donner kebab which is what many chip shops offer. The best bit about the main meal were the complimentary ketchup and mayonnaise jars.
The desserts were great, and was the best part of the whole meal.
The customer service was appalling, the saving grace was one waiter with the shoulder length hair. The waiter allocated to our table did not explain the ordering process, my meal was delayed by around 30 minutes, no apology or explanation was offered. I will not be visiting again and this is mainly due to the poor service.

It had a lovely atmosphere, with nice background music, the service was great, didn’t have to wait 5 minutes after being seated. Ordered the buttermilk chicken burger, Twas great, though wouldn’t recommend if you can’t handle a little kick. Overall amazing Lunch, though they lose a star as the menu price doesn’t include vat, so I had to pay more than I thought I would.

We were greeted into the restaurant with a warm welcome. All the waiters and waitresses that looked after us were very kind and friendly. Food was delicious ,fresh and quick to come. Loved the atmosphere would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a spot to have brunch or lunch.
Nads Travels

Food was okay, not too bad but not memorable. Service was okay too. The guy seniour staff was not friendly tbh.
Atmosphere? I thought this was a posh restaurant tbh but apparently it’s just like Burger King atmosphere just better interiors and pricey menu.
Overall, I would not come back. Nothing special.

Great food .. great service . Can be very busy for brunch .. but book ahead . No worries! .. went back Dec 24 .. no booking required .. they just find you a table .. perfect as always!

I recently visited Bill’s in the Bullring Shopping Centre with my friends, and it was a delightful experience. We started with a few appetizers, including the crispy calamari and fried halloumi cheese, both of which were delicious.
For my main course, I ordered the chicken shawarma, which was excellent. The mix of pickled vegetables and sauces complemented the dish perfectly. My wife chose the buttermilk chicken burger, which turned out to be very good as well. My friend opted for the grilled chicken tikka salad and was equally satisfied.
Overall, our experience was fantastic, and we can’t wait to return and try more dishes. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, adding to the positive atmosphere.

1st and last time at Bella Italia.
We were sat at a dirty table and asked to move. We were told the table we wanted was reserved, to see it then be given to 2 customers 30 minutes later who didn’t reserve.
Told to order on app, no personal service.
Minestrone soup was tomato soup with some pasta in. (No mention of tomato – which we had an allergy for)
Food was lukewarm at best.
Quite possibly the blandest carbonara I have eaten, had to ask for Parmesan cheese and waiter came out with a grater.
No cutlery on table, had to get these ourselves and didn’t clear away the starters before mains came.
Raised all of these concerns with the manager who rather than talking to understand the issues, sent the waiter to advise the bill was £0.
Don’t waste your time or money.
Maksymilian Rutkowski

We visited Bella Italia on a busy Saturday, which is expected as it’s located on the high street.
We ordered online, and while our drinks and starter arrived quickly, there was a long WAIT between the starter and the main course. Unfortunately, we had to ask for our food multiple times, which was frustrating.
The waitstaff could definitely be more attentive. After finishing our starter, we didn’t receive any clean cutlery, and we had to request it each time we needed it, which became quite annoying.
While the food was decent, the overall service experience left a lot to be desired. A bit more care and attention from the staff would make a big difference.
Bahar

As good as always. Great service. Staff were super friendly. Food was nice. Toilets were clean. Great atmosphere. Would sure recommend. Please note the usual discount Vouchers are not applicable here (usually please double check). Mains cost around £15-£20 per person.
Raymond Kiu

Beautiful place, really busy so probably need to book in advance. Two managers – ladies were really lovely and accommodating. Great food, great service. Not every Bella Italia is the same but this one was amazing. Would definitely recommend.
Marina Simone

The manager of this place is a joke, a new manager needs to be hired.
I came last night with friends and noticed the manager was extremely friendly to other customers however was quite rude towards myself. The manager does this thing where he sits with his customers and has a chat with them if they come from an ethnic group of White.
My food took over an hour to come which I then had to cancel as other customers ( white ) were getting treated like royalty whilst myself was being treated completely different.
Perfect restaurant for those who are white, any other colour avoid.

This is a firm favourite of ours. You know what you’re getting and it’s very consistent. The menu is easy to navigate with something for everyone and the cocktails are ace, especially at happy hour. Personally, I’d like more spice and stronger seasoning for my palate, but regardless, I enjoy my meal every time. The staff a lovely and attentive and we’ve never felt ignored or rushed.
Stace Sheward

Quite disappointing unfortunately. Sat down with my partner and they took 40 minutes to serve us. I would have no problem with this if they were busy but the staff were standing and talking to each other not serving anyone. When we were finally served we were given watered down drinks that cost 10 pounds each. It took more time after that before our food orders were taken. We gave our food order and then 15 minutes later they came back saying it wasn’t available. Yes, it took 15 minutes for them to check if they had what we ordered as they stood around talking. When we gave them an updated order with what they actually had in stock the food they gave us was not at all worth the price they charged. Feathers in the chicken and the rice was undercooked. (see photos). 2 watery drinks, one small plate and one regular plate cost 50 pounds. Save yourself time and money.
Walid Ahmed Nadeem

Hard to sum this place up. Service was intially really good but lacked a bit as time went on. Two of the four dishes we ordered weren’t available, alternatives offered which was acceptable. When the food came, one of the four dishes was wrong one, so now we only have one of the originally ordered items. Pointed out the incorrect dish but didn’t get rectified until we had finished our other food. I’d give it another chance based on the tasty food, maybe at a less busy time.

I absolutely enjoyed my drinks after work with my colleagues yesterday. I’ve noticed there’s some positive improvements in this venue with their drinks, food and staff. Thanks for looking after us, Andrew! Definitely coming back, totally recommend for a couples night out or even after work drinks. Keep it u guys!

Had lunch here in the run-in to Christmas, and overall it wasn’t great.
We were seated at a table with standard menus only, and noticed that was being done with other diners too. Fortunately we were aware there’s a lunch deal menu and my wife went to get that instead.
From the lunch deals, we ordered ourselves burritos, then ordered a Taco meal as a kind of side to share. Very glad I didn’t order that as my main meal as it was tiny.
I opted for the Pork pibil because I’m not sure if they keep the meats of the haallal menu and the normal menus separate, and I didn’t want to mistakenly eat haallal meat.
The food was ok, I expected a lot more flavour, but overall not bad or anything. The mocktails were quite nice, the virgin colada was lovely to be fair.
My wife suggested we head to the nearby Christmas market for churros for dessert, but I insisted we stay put. She ended up getting the dessert menu herself and we ordered the Churros to share.
They came without ice cream, so we had to ask for that again, which we received an apology for and were then given strawberry instead of vanilla as that was all they had left.
It did seem the one guy who looked like he was in charge was trying to keep it together, but generally it was a bit of a shambles from his crew. I did witness another diner receiving even worse service, but that’s not really my story to tell.

Good choices of food. Mexican eggs and Egg Benedict were of a decent standard. Plenty of choices for drinks. Attentive table service (we were served by Mary) and overall clean environment. An improvement compared to our last visit a few years ago.

Nice atmosphere big windows feels spacious. Easy to order, decent choice menu and good quality food. Not too long a wait for food to arrive, nice drinks choice also. Iced tea was lovely! Coffee quite weak but nice enough. Hash browns great but have to pay for quite a lot of sauce to waste it for the size of them…! Quite expensive for the portion sizes but it’s nice and friendly.

We were served by Natalie at the till, ordering was easy and she was very welcoming. Food came quickly and our server Sophia was on top of everything. The food was incredible. Will definitely recommend and will be back

Great place for breakfast or lunch, with everything tasting delicious and the atmosphere looking fantastic! The only drawback is that they don’t offer gluten-free eggs Benedict or pancakes. Other than that, the gluten-free salmon, avocado, and scrambled eggs were excellent, and my colleagues said the eggs Benedict were great as well!

Fantastic all round experience. Warm welcome sat down quickly. Ordered boss breakfast with a bostin breakfast tea. Would recommend to anyone to try it. Will deffo be returning to try other scrumptious food and drink of their menu. Staff are brilliant here checked up on me.

Excellent customer service. The food was fine, but I do expect better. Loaster tastes fresh and big. Overall is a good experience, but it’s just too dark (maybe more brightness).

Piccolino’s offers a pleasant dining experience in a nice location with appealing decor and a welcoming atmosphere. The tiramisu stands out as a highlight, while the rest of the dishes, including the bruschetta and spaghetti, were average. The pizza and calzone were enjoyable. Service was satisfactory, matching the overall ambiance. Prices are reasonable, making it a decent choice for a casual meal.

Really great friendly service, attentive and helpful. Great choice on the menu and fast served, didn’t have to wait too long for any item we chose, and not seated in a busy loud area of the restaurant thankfully! Really tasty food and easy paying experience, clean tables and whole place in general!

This is a family friendly restaurant, with accommodation for wheel chairs and buggies. We enjoyed the dish and the waitress was very polite and kind. Will come again.

Good food, wouldn’t recommend the Vegatsu; fairly dry all round and no veg alongside it apart from salad. The waiter forgot my order, so I was sitting around waiting for 30/40 mins until I realised the waiter hasn’t put it through. We did have an accident with one of the glasses and the staff were very kind to have dealt with it quickly and efficiently! Overall positive experience. Would recommend the squid balls, and the veggie bao buns!

Food let me down, I had a teriyaki soba with ‘premium cut steak’, the steak was not that premium, chewy and small.
Francesco

First, the positive. The food was tasty. But, sadly, the service let the experience down. When other tables around you are served before you despite being seated a fair bit after you, it irks a bit. When you then get the waiter’s attention and they hold up their index finger and tell you to wait your turn it’s even more of a wind up.
