My experience with Wesleyan has just been frustrating. I first contacted them to get advice about my upcoming retirement and investments. Because of my working hours, I was given a 6 p.m. appointment with an adviser. I rushed home that day, sat in front of my computer prepared for the call—but no one called me. After waiting 20 minutes, I phoned the number in my confirmation email to ask why no one had contacted me. I was told that their records showed someone had called me! The customer support agent apologised and rescheduled my appointment for the following week, again at 6 p.m. When that day came, I rushed home early once more, sat at my computer 15 minutes before the appointment, and waited. Yet again, no call. After 15 minutes, I contacted customer support. They checked all my details, mobile number, but couldn’t explain why I hadn’t been contacted. They offered to book me another appointment for the next week, but by then I was upset and unsure about the whole situation. I told them I didn’t want to make another booking for now. I hope the company realises that a serious customer is unlikely to trust them again—or return to seek advice or investment.

I invested money with Wesleyan some 9 years ago and wish l hadn’t been taken in. It’s not about the performance of the investment it’s about the lack of follow up advice and consistency. As an example, some 3 years ago l tried to get an appointment with my adviser several times but got no response. When l eventually secured one they literally didn’t attend. I tried again. No response. I then made a formal complaint. Nothing was researched properly and l was phobed off. I complained again with solid evidence of emails and phone calls. I then received a reply, skirting over the issues, saying meetings weren’t booked in diaries, apologising and offering £200 in compensation. Fast forward to this month when l again needed to speak to an adviser. Passed from pillar to post; given numbers of departments that weren’t open; then when they were open it was the wrong department. Eventually a meeting was organised but the adviser phoned me yesterday to say if l want to speak to them it’s now £300 (+ vat) per year! Something tells me they are smooth at taking your money but not so smooth at facilitating efficient withdrawals. So my advice to you is if you want ongoing bits of advice, if you want a company who are transparent, who have efficient systems of communication, a good level of customer service and who take customer dissatisfaction seriously, avoid Wesleyan.

We received excellent advice and service from our Wesleyan Financial advisor, Colin and would definitely recommend his services. We started receiving financial advice from him several years before our retirement and his expertise has been invaluable throughout. It enabled us to make informed choices and the decision to retire earlier than we had previously thought we could. He was interested in finding out about our attitudes to life and finances, answered our many questions and explained finances and investments clearly so we were able to make smart investment choices to meet our individual needs. All our options were clearly presented to us with no pressure for us to purchase products. Any correspondence was answered promptly and we had the benefits of face to face meetings. Our heartfelt thanks go to Colin at Wesleyan for providing us with a top class service.

Richard went above and beyond in helping us secure our mortgage and navigate different aspect of the home buying process. He actively supported us in coordinating with solicitors, our seller's agent, and all the challenges along the way. I genuinely believe that our deal might not have gone as smoothly without his incredible help. His dedication, kindness, and professionalism were exceptional, and we are forever grateful for his guidance. I would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone in need of mortgage advice or support. Thank you for everything, Richard!

Had an amazing experience with Owen who helped us to understand what was possible with our mortgage and was an incredibly stable and supportive presence during a really stressful move.

Seamus King should receive an award for his levels of professionalism, tenacity and industry knowledge. We felt we had reached the end of the road with a mortgage application, however not only did Seamus persist and secure us a mortgage to allow us to complete on our desired property, he also secured a very competitive rate. He was always available to discuss issues and dealt with concerns from estate agents also. He has steered us safely through the house purchase not jut through the mortgage provision but also through our life insurance policy and income protection to secure our family finances. Even when we felt it was time to quit and even the company themselves suggested Seamus may turn his attention to other business he delivered for us. We are incredibly grateful and cannot recommend him enough to others especially dental professionals who may require a similar service.

We were provided first rate mortgage advice by Ifty as first-time buyers. He listened carefully to our needs and situation. He took time to carefully explain the features of each product and how it works as well as the overall process of house buying. We never felt rushed or pressured into a situation and are happy with the mortgage offer which we ultimately received.
