I have used 2nd city for the last 10 years , for a variety of plumbing and heating problems I have had in different properties. Have always found them to be professional, any issues I have had , have normally been resolved quickly with a call to their office or a call from Mark , who I believe is one of the owners.

I would like to share the disgusting experience i had with 2nd city Gas, plumbing and heating service. I am a woman who works from home alone. 2 workmen were in my house for 3 minutes and charged me £90!! I was advised it was £90 for the first HOUR on the phobe prior to the call out. I explained that the pump or cartridge in the tap was "playing up " . They turned the tap on and agreed. They did not remove the bath panel to check underneath the taps.They then advised it needed new taps at the cost of £380 plus VAT =total of £465 .They then asked for £90 for just turning on the taps !!! And they wanted it to be paid in CASH or they would "get in to trouble " I was told they would sit of the drive until it was paid in full . Which made made me feel uncomfortable and angry. I told them i would have to pay over the phone and asked for an invoice. They didn't have an invoice book and wrote with a pencil on a "quotation pad" he crossed out the word quotation and wrote invoice on the top of the paper. The office asked for an invoice number which they didn't have so he just made a number up and wrote it on the paper too.how does that work with the tax office ??? If they had checked and tried to get it to work then i would have had no issues paying but 3 minutes in the house is just ripping people off . I rang "quickfind" and they advised they didnt agree with them asking for cash and sitting on the drive until paid and that the "boss mark " would telephone me But... he never did ! I am absolutely appalled with my expericence with this company and how i was treated as a paying customer Would not reccommend to anyone .

Our shower power button broke and so we had to stop the shower turning the water main to the shower off. Upon phoning 2nd city Gas Pluming and Heating service, Julie was very helpful and was able to send James out next day first thing. James diagnosed the issue and we knew straight away a new was needed. The earliest appointment they had was after Bank Holiday (understandable). But I managed to find another plumber at similar cost to fit a new shower sooner. Thank you to Julie and James for their great professionalism and being ready to sort us out at their earliest appointment slots. Although we didn't go with them on this occasion, I will definitely look to this company should any further emergencies arise.

I am severely disappointed by this service as I trusted it due to its positive reviews. According to a friend I paid double what the job should've costed. And the job wasn't even well done! Beware of this greedy business and take your business elsewhere.

I can’t thank Mark and the lads at 2nd City enough for the help and support they have given me over the years with the continued issues with my new build home Valiant boiler. It has been very unreliable but he has always rectified my issues rapidly and at a very reasonable cost.

This company came out to my father in-law who is 84 told him boiler scrap and quoted him in total £3862 I done a little research to find out circuit board is problem under £400 for a new one I understand business and profit but I also understand rip off company's will post a picture of Bill on facbook I will send you a copy of receipt so you can check hi we could have purchased a second hand board but no guarantee so paid for a new circuit board and service £462 that includes vat
