I booked a taxi and when it arrived it was filthy and smelt of urine and it looked like it had not been ever cleaned. I opened the window but that didn’t make my journey any more bearable. This was one of the worst taxi experiences I’ve had. The vehicle was in an unacceptable condition — it smelled strongly of urine and was visibly dirty. To make matters worse, the driver had serious personal hygiene issues, which made the ride extremely uncomfortable.
I reached out to the company expecting at least a partial refund, given how far below basic service standards this was. Instead, they offered me a discount on a future ride. Frankly, I have no intention of using this service again, so that gesture was meaningless.
This kind of experience should never happen, and it’s disappointing that the company thinks a future discount is an appropriate resolution. I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere for a cleaner, more professional service.

Premier called told me my taxi was a white pruis and the registration. Located the car and he proceeded to ignore me knocking and trying to tell him he is my taxi for about 10 minutes before finally letting me in the car. But he did drop me home fine. Maybe say you’re busy if needed don’t just refuse to even look at the passenger and keep door locked with no indication as to why.

Last driver was pleasant and service is generally good. Call centre advisors are also polite. Only thing is would be better for driver to let customer know when they have arrived instead of 2minutes away. I have forget something now and will not be calling taxi to pick this up.

I’ve used this taxi firm a number of times and have not been disappointed. I’ve had different drivers and different routes to the same address but always with the same fare. This reliability impresses me.Nice clean cars too.

Absolutely fantastic service. The driver was friendly and he charged us fair price for his service. He was having good knowledge of roads and traffic. Although, the roads were quite busy but he managed to drop us on time.

Gemma was brilliant help on the phone sorting best pick up etc Driver excellent and got my son home safe and sound. Excellent service and well priced for the distance and late time. (Edit) had to get the taxi home from secondary school and the driver was behind the 97 bus and I told him to go to the main reception he went “No please come over!” And I went no because 1 it’s raining and 2 taxis should always come to the reception and I told him I was starting to get wet and he hung up on me and cancelled my ride so I had to wait 30 minutes, yes that is correct 30 minutes so I was wet so I had to go inside but thankfully I got a driver who i knew but I hope to never get that driver again 🙁

Taxi came within a short time of ringing them around dawn from monorail. Driver put cases in and then out for us at destination. He was such a lovely pleasant man. Also great having tracking and car make/reg making it easier and safer to know it was him. Local was recommended to me and they did not disappoint. I will definitely use them again!

Simple collection from Marston Green to Birmingham International Train Station. Call taker was attentive and quoted both time of arrival & the fayre. Driver was prompt (within 5 mins of making the call) and transported us safely to our destination – without any fuss, nor incident. Absolutely 100% recommend especially if looking for a transfer with child car seats!! – we had a drop off and pick up from the airport with Tariq, he was brilliant – very prompt each time and kept us updated when we landed. Smooth and careful driving. We had two young children – both car seats were immaculate and there were also sun shades and personal air-con – both kids fell asleep straight away, that’s testament!
Price was incredibly reasonable and would absolutely use again, already recommended to family.

We were really pleased with this service. Our driver, Tariq arrived promptly for both airport transfers and provided a car seat for a 9 month old baby. He messaged us when we were waiting for baggage to let us know he was already there and then came to meet us. Would definitely recommend.

I had a great experience with Airport Taxis. Haroon Ali collected me on time and was extremely professional throughout. The journey was smooth and pleasant. Amazing service! Had to call Airport cars & Brumtaxi last minute because another taxi firm cancelled our booking 45mins before collection. Received a personal, helpful and reassuring service from Tariq. Car was clean, arrived on time. They supplied a large car that accommodated 4 passengers and 8 large suitcases at short notice. Have already booked them again for the return journey. Would definitely recommend!

I have used Star Cars a few times recently to go in and out of town and I’ve been very impressed. Ordered through the app, which was extremely easy. Cars have been immaculate, drivers friendly, and I have not felt in anyway uncomfortable with their driving ability. Always turned up promptly and when I have ordered a taxi to go home they have had one available in minutes. Would highly recommend.

I would just like to say the driver we had for our holiday to livermead house was amazing. He is best driver we ever had. So polite and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Please use him more often..the only downside to our holiday was the hotel need cosmetic updating. Curtains garden furniture and fan and small fridge in bedroom. The staff were amazing vey polite and friendly nothing was too much trouble. They came and waved us off when it was time to leave. I would go again if they sorted garden. One of your drivers Nisar Ahmed was absolutely lovely and got us out of a right pickle this morning after being recommended by another one of your drivers that was just finishing his shift. Our flight was diverted to Birmingham airport and we urgently needed to get back to our original destination ( Manchester Airport). Nasar collected us immediately and took us straight to Manchester and even offered to stop for us to grab some beverages and food en route as he knew we’d had an extremely long night/ early morning due to issues with our flight. Such a lovely considerate person 🙂

I pre-booked a minibus to Digbeth Coach Station (around 7 miles). I was assured the booking was complete & was given a price of £31, after reading reviews I phoned Star Cars to double check the booking was secured as I had no confirmation. Good job I did because I was told nothing under my name or phone number was booked. The lady managed to book me in and i was quoted £30. The minibus arrived ahead of time and got us to our destination no problem but charged us over £40 which was quite different to the two quotes. We got a large black cab on our return, the exact same journey cost £20. Very disappointed with all aspects, from failure to book me in to 34% price increase from two previous quotes and a price variation of 50% more expensive than a black cab. I wouldn’t recommend Star Cars in any capacity. Very misleading and disappointing

Such a great experience for a long distance journey!
We went to webley and back and we couldn’t of asked for a better service. From when we booked it we received such great customer service from Jackie. Massive thank you to our driver who made the whole experience enjoyable. He was on time professional and definitely the best taxi driver we have ever had. We will continue to use star taxis for any short but most definitely long journeys in the future. Highly recommend them!

Do not trust this company – phoned in advance to see if I should pre-book a taxi on the night in question but was told there would be no need and cars would be available. Attempted booking though app – a driver was found and “5 min” away. Then they disappear. Wait 5 min for another- only for them to disappear again. You can see the car icon and driver details on the app then they vanish and you go back to start again. Do not trust this company. You will be left stranded.

The driver was extremely friendly, polite and helpful. He identified himself initially on the phone and gave out helpful identifying details of the car. Kept up a friendly conversation throughout the journey and dropped us close by at the station taxi rank.

Used five stars for airport transfer for 11 of us and they were brill. On time and reliable. Our flight back we landed a little earlier than I stated on the booking but they were waiting and there within 2 minutes of me calling them. Would 100% use again. Thank you

I had a coach to catch at 6:15 and I was panicking because the originally I was trying to book with bolt but they let me down miserably by giving me a driver then the driver second he don’t want to do the trip down to ridiculous waiting Time so I was really at my wits end because other taxi companies were either fully booked or talking about no drivers in that area some bs then I called five star cabs/Taxi and they gave me a cab after 5 mins waiting time but they did end up coming a little over eta so by 6 they came but the driver they sent was reliable and got me to the coach station swiftly with even 3 mins to spare so I highly recommend they work well under pressure and the drivers with my experience are very understanding and will try to meet your needs to their ability I tipped the driver £2 with the fare being £6 because he really helped me out a lot so thanks to him and Jesus Christ for sending him and may God bless the driver and the staff who answered the phone and the overall company five star cars may they be blessed in Jesus name Amen ☺️☺️

This was my first experience using this app.I was pleased to say how easy to use. The driver was extremely helpful and polite.My husband and I were sitting in the taxi within 5 minutes.

Never use this taxi company. I waited over an hour for a taxi I’d booked with more than enough time to get me to work early. I was 45 minutes late, with no updates sent from the taxi company and called them twice without them being able to confirm the car arrival time. This was never the case when it was A2B so it must now have worse management. I will never use this company again and you shouldn’t either.

The worst app is this. 15 days back I was in Birmingham I book through them and waiting for them to send the car but the car dis not arrive for 1:20 minutes.
Then one driver receive the ride and asking for extra money because he told me that the ride is far way. Today again I book with them the drivers received th ride and cancelled the ride. I ask them why you are doing this the same answer that the place is very far from hear thats why.
I call the help line she close and cut the call on my face and say no this and that. The worst part is they take the money and did not send it back to the account.
This is the last time I was booking with this app. No more.

I booked on the app 45 minutes ahead. I got reassuring estimates of ETA right down to<1min. At the time booked NO SHOW. I telephoned and was reassurex a car wad on its way. Then Veezu phoned again to confirm pick up point. Estimate 15 minutes! My wife has mobility issues and will have been standing 30 minutes.VERY DISAPPOINTED

Called in yesterday to book an 8 seater with TINA from Birmingham branch. Was very rude over the phone. Didn’t ask for email address or confirming my address. Had to ask to do this for her. Very very unprofessional. Was advised to wait for confirmation of booking via WhatsApp. Didn’t receive anything after 24 hours. Called back the office today and was told we dont have a booking at all. First time using this service. Was quoted £20 too. And found out an 8 seater is £32. For free drop off to airport not £20

Pre booked a taxi from the airport and all I can say is stay well clear from this company for this reason they use two systems on for picking up passengers and go with the highest paying customer, absolutely disgusted in the way we got treated last night The manager at Shrewsbury called Elliot had me on loud speaker to his colleagues laughing at the fact I was making a compliant about his drivers. For anyone else who is thinking about using this service for airport transport please use alternative company’s as unprofessional and unreliable

Not good! Ordered a taxi after having a root canal operation at Bingham Dental Hospital . Waited for a hour and nothing showed up. I called and they just kept on saying it’s on the way but it never arrived.
Due to this taxi company I missed my train back to Nottingham.

Disappointing and Unreliable Service

I had a terrible experience with this taxi company. I called at 7:35 AM (27/02/25) to arrange a pickup for 8:05 AM on the same day. However, when 8:05 arrived, the driver was nowhere to be seen. When I called to check, I was casually informed that no driver was available to do the pickup.

Why was this not communicated to me beforehand? Had I known, I could have made other arrangements instead of being left stranded at the last minute. To make matters worse, the staff was rude and unhelpful, showing no concern for the inconvenience they caused.

Because of this company’s poor service, I was extremely late for my appointment and had to scramble to book another taxi with a different company. Completely unprofessional and unreliable—I will never use their service again!

Amazing customer service when making the booking over the phone. Confirmation of booking was quick. updates on when your driver is arriving and our taxi pick up and drop off was smooth. Our taxi driver is very skilled in area.

Can’t recommend Birmingham Taxis highly enough. What a professional service. Didn’t speak to anyone, all communication was through email which was so efficient. We used their service for a festival in Birmingham on both a Saturday & Sunday (2 trips each day). Their service so punctual and our driver – Arshid Mahroof – was exceptional. He was so accommodating, courteous and pleasant to deal with. Definitely 10/10

Used Birmingham Taxis Easter Sunday to get to and from the Utilita Arena.
Nice clean car, driver was professional. I probably made him chat more than he might have liked but he was a really nice guy.
Ended up with the same driver for the return journey, which was cool because we’d had a chat about the pick-up at Utilita at the end of the gig. I knew traffic would be awful.
He told me roughly where the best place for pick-up was and as we received info from Birmingham Taxis, car and driver details etc, I called him as we left Utilita and arranged pick-up on the go.
An excellent service all round. Will definitely use again.

Rude unhelpful staff. We booked a week in advance. They lost our booking and when we rang up, the had the gall to blame us. When we complainted, they hung up. Staff are badly in need of customer service training. When we asked to speak to a manager, none were around. We would give them -10 stars if we could. Avoid like the plague

You also need to honour your advertisement of a £5. Discount for first booking whether booked through an App’ or over the telephone…
I implore you Directors to sort the ongoing problems out, or continue to ĺoose any goodwill of the Business, or your customers. Also negative feedback should not be viewed as another liablous criticism, but positive and honest.appraisal of your poor standards of your Drivers which gives you feedback on what you can do to commence changing the service for the better…
A negative review is a positive review which offers areas for improvement and change, so you may consistently gain good teviews, increasing the goodwill of your business…

Customers if you are dissatisfied with the undervalued and disrespected, dehumanizing approach of the Drivers of any Taxi or Private hire Company, you really need to take your head out of the sand and stop acting like an Ospringe and write a review ir make an official complaint to your local Licencing Authorities, producing where possible the plate reference number and the Drivers personal iD Badge number, where they should provide access within their Cab, or REQUEST!!!

Directors. You have a Duty of Care to provide fir your Customers a Safe and reliable Service for all providing equal opportunities for all. You have extra responsibilities which include the disabled, Elderly and under 18s.

I for one expect you to adhere to the rules, and regulations provided for as a Licence to Operate and comply with the Terms and Conditions set by all Local Licencing Aurthorities.
It is not one rule for one and one for another and respect works , or is ment to be and work both ways…

Booked from direct line at Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Was quoted £25 for journey which seemed a fair price. When the car arrived the driver asked what we had been quoted & then disputed the price & insisted £30 was his price before he would take us home.
First & last time I will ever use this company again.

Yesterday 7 March I ordered a taxi and was told it would be 25 minutes as it was Friday afternoon I was prepared to wait. After 40 minutes I rang and was told the taxi had been delayed but would be with me ASAP. After 10 minutes I rang again to be told there were no drivers available in the area (Bearwood Road) After expressing my reaction to this I was put through to the despatcher person who eventually contacted another company , which taxi arrived in minutes. Iam a woman who is 86,my friend is 80.You can imagine how we felt after waiting over an hour on Bearwood Road. I think Castle cars have lost another customer.

Oderd a taxi for 8 . I call 7.55 to check they said 5 minutes. I called back at 8.15 and they said at least another 15 minutes..I explained I had a very important appointment. They messaged at 9 to say they had cancelled. Please don’t waste your time booking ! Shocking no call or anything to say they not coming. Ruined my day
