I visited the store today and it's certainly the best experience I ever had with a whole range of tech, giving me supermarket vibes but for tech. My favourite thing about Currys is you allowed to get a hands on and test out new products which is something that I really wanted to do and.. oh my goodness! Just an amazing place. Worth visiting if you're a tech enthusiast myself.
Mixed Experience – Great Price Match, Poor Customer Interaction Visited this store recently to order a phone. Unfortunately, I had to wait around 10 minutes before anyone approached me, despite several staff members chatting near the entrance. Once I was finally served, the lady who helped me was excellent—she price-matched an online offer without any hassle, which I really appreciated. However, I was told I’d receive a call when the phone was ready for collection, but that never happened. I had to go into the store myself to follow up. During the collection, I also purchased a vacuum, and the man who served us made the experience quite uncomfortable. He lacked basic social skills, spoke in a flat tone, and had a completely expressionless demeanor. The transaction felt awkward and impersonal. Overall, the pricing and product were great, but the customer service was inconsistent. Some staff were helpful, others made the experience feel cold and unwelcoming.
I recently bought a TV here and, as always, had a really good experience. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable, which makes the whole process much easier. They took the time to explain the different options and helped me choose the right one for my needs. I’ve shopped at this store before and consistently find the service to be reliable and friendly. Delivery was smooth. Overall, Currys is one of the places I trust for electronics because the staff genuinely care about helping customers.
evaluation on 06/12/2025 at 11:30: I'm a tourist. I came to the store to buy an S25 Ultra, Buds3 Pro, and Watch7 outright. The salespeople didn't pay attention to me. One saleswoman treated me with disdain just because she didn't speak English. I put everything I needed into the translator and they didn't pay attention to me. They always say they're serving customers and will come to me, but no one comes and there aren't many customers in the store. People arrived after me and were served in front of me. The man who said he was there to help didn't want to read my text in the translator. No one tried to help me. I researched the internet before coming. I took an expensive Uber to buy the items and they told me they don't sell without a contract, but the internet says they do. I wouldn't spend a lot of money on transportation and cash if I couldn't buy them. This is disrespectful and I'm going to take measures to protect myself, because I'm no different from any other customer. Zero points for the salespeople and employees at this store.
Brought ink cartridge from this place, when I explained to them this didn't work and it was faulty. I had the old cartridge which I put back in the printer that worked even though it had low levels of ink. Sales person said because I opened it they can't refund or exchange. So being that they sold me a faulty ink cartridge that didn't work, how is anybody to know if it works until you actually install it in the printer. Poor service with faulty goods!
Very poor customer services in this store. Lots of staff but they were just chatting to each other and ignoring the customers. If I didn't need the stuff I would of walked away
Terrible customer service rude staff. Came in 4 staff members had their back to me. When I asked for someone to help me with washing machines I got rude response to go to washing area someone will come to me. I said there are 4 people stood there. Went and waited zeb came over with and attitude saying I can’t ask for customer service straight away I’m not a private shopper and started arguing with me. He then walked off and said I can wait more and went to another customer . It escalated I asked for the manager Jerry who was the original rude person. Asked to make a formal complaint he said I can’t and that he’s kicking me out of the store. I the said I’m going to record him refusing me to make a formal complaint he then aggressively grabbed my phone and walked out the store with it. I had a newborn 5 week with me. All I came in for was to get a washer dryer. Worst experience at a shop. 0 for customer service I hope they both don’t get away with that absolutely disgusting.this is the apex retail store in Birmingham sparkbrook.
