Everything was cute and beautiful! It was great to have a big hot dog and beer in the Christmas atmosphere. I tried mulled wine for the first time. I took the cute cup home.
A brilliantly put together market, definitely the best I have ever been to. Delicious food and drink as well as lots of music and a nice atmosphere. Great decorations. Perfect for date night. Don’t come here expecting lots of handmade items however, it’s mainly food and drink. Extremely busy on Saturdays, almost impossible to walk through. I would recommend Friday night over Saturday as they are much quicker.
Amazing atmosphere! The German food and beer were delicious. We tried Glühwein for the first time, and it was nice. It’s the perfect spot to get into the Christmas spirit. The evening was much better than the afternoon—the lights were stunning, though it was quite crowded. Highly recommend!
First time be here during Christmas. Very impressive with husband. We been to Christmas market many place around the world and can say here is top3 place. Market was huge and beautiful. Very convenient to see everything. Craft market really nice. Enjoy the music and decorations. We definitely come back next year again.
Since we could not actually get to Germany for a Christmas market this was definitely the next best thing. Delicious, authentically German food and drink, reasonable prices, and lots of options. The people were friendly and we felt very safe wandering around at night. There were plenty of places (table alcoves) to stop and enjoy Glühwein or a pint. Can't wait for next year.
Great Christmas Market with real German flavour. Plenty of food and drink stalls. Some nice stalls selling German tree decorations, jewellery, chocolates, china and lots more. Great live pop and rock music is provided in the main square by a lively band, mixing it up with Christmas classics. Very entertaining. Worth a visit.
During my lunch hour, I decided to take a stroll through the Birmingham Christmas Market, and it was a delightful experience. The market was bustling with people enjoying the festive vibes, despite the chilly weather. The towering Christmas tree, beautifully adorned with lights and decorations, set the perfect holiday mood as soon as I entered the area. The market stalls, adorned with garlands and lights, offered a variety of options—from traditional German bratwursts and mulled wine to unique handmade gifts. The wooden chalet-style stalls and the smell of roasted chestnuts added a nostalgic charm. The festive music playing in the background enhanced the lively atmosphere, making it a perfect escape from the usual lunch routine. The market’s central attractions, like the fountain area near the iconic Floozie in the Jacuzzi statue, were especially picturesque. It’s clear that a lot of effort has been put into decorating the entire space, with small details like "Merry Christmas" signs on bins adding to the festive theme. The carousel and other decorative installations added a magical touch for families with kids. What stood out the most to me was the variety of food and drink options available. The aroma of freshly baked pretzels and sizzling sausages was irresistible, and the mulled wine provided just the right warmth on a cold day. While the market was busy, it didn’t feel overwhelmingly crowded, at least during lunchtime. I imagine it might get busier during the evening hours. Overall, the Birmingham Christmas Market is a wonderful place to soak in the festive spirit, enjoy delicious treats, and find unique gifts—all within a beautifully decorated setting. It’s definitely worth a visit if you’re in the city during the holiday season!
