Kings Norton Farmers’ Market is the place to find real local food, straight from farmers and makers, no resellers. Every Saturday, you’ll get in-season veg, locally grown mushrooms, fresh apple juice and top-tier cheese and charcuterie. A Culinary Institute of America-trained patisserie chef bakes incredible vegan pastries and there’s fresh coffee, sandwiches and ethical handmade soaps. Run by local volunteers, it’s a true community effort. Easy access by bus, train or car (plenty of parking). After shopping, explore Kings Norton Green and its historic church. Birmingham is lucky to have it!
King of the seasonal crop If you’re a Brummie foodie you have to visit Kings Norton Farmers market. It takes place on the second Saturday of the month, 09:00-13:30. They have all artisan food covered including, for me at least, breads, seasonal fruit and veg. Note: if you love your stone fruit, you’ll feel you’ve died and gone to heaven. There are more varieties on display at the moment than you can shake a branch at. Artisan Sourdough Breads are courtesy of the excellent TenFourBakehouse.
This Market was small but the produce was excellent. I bought an array of veg from a man who I think grew his veg on an allotment. Prices were fair, the produce was varied, root veg different kales and a few new surprises. I bought bread and pastries very well priced £2:00 a loaf , quite amazing - so was the price . S great way to spend a morning.
Good range of stalls, well laid out & good attention to Covid security. Happy to see some plant sellers on last visit
Great produce here! My favourite stall was the coffee bean seller..fantastic choice, very reasonably priced, pleasant stall holder.. He allowed me to smell the beans before I made my choices..just excellent! Good artisan bread stall too, delicious foccacia bread varieties.. Lovely pokora and vege samosas on another stall too.. Well worth a visit, and I will definitely return!
Great variety of stalls! A few core regulars and some that change every other time. Only open 2nd Saturday of every month.
Lovely variety of stalls especially the cakes, cheeses and chocolate. Parking is free in the green for the duration of the market. It's on the flat and is very accessible for everyone. The people are all very friendly and welcoming.
