Great independent sports clothing and equipment store. Specialising in cricket, rugby, hockey clothing and equipment. Bright spacious showroom well laid out and stocked with wide variety of high quality sports related clothing. Staff are very helpful, offering many years of expert advice and experience, impartial advice to help you make an informed choice.
All genuine equipment at prices you won’t find like for like anywhere else. The staff helped me purchase some hockey equipment in an unhurried manner where I felt I was being listened to, expert advice being offered about what was most suitable for me. Definitely come back in future and recommend to friends in the very near future. Thanks very much Boundary sports for an enjoyable shopping experience.

Cant thank Boundary sports enough they kitted out our son from head to toe ready for the cricket season and Sol was so helpful with getting all the stuff out ready for him to try on. Nothing was too much trouble and he spent a good 30 minutes with us making sure we had all the things we needed he even gave a few extras to go with our purchase. I would Highley recommend you visit here for anything to do with cricket as Sol is the best and will make sure your looked after.
Thank you so much from Craig & Tyler (P.S we will be back soon for more)

Took my 8 year old to get all the kit for hard ball. Excellent experience, member of staff (apologies I didn’t get his name) was really good, friendly, attentive and very knowledgeable, he even took time to bowl to my son to make sure all the kit fitted okay. Prices very competitive as well. Definitely will go back.

The Nike Clearance Store in Birmingham offers a decent selection of discounted athletic wear. Finding great deals is genuinely possible if you’re prepared to put in the effort and browse carefully. The atmosphere is generally positive, with customers actively searching for bargains and appreciating the opportunity to snag a good price on quality sportswear.
Navigating the store can occasionally feel a little overwhelming due to the volume of shoppers and the speed at which items disappear. Staff availability could be improved to streamline the checkout process and ensure a more pleasant shopping experience for everyone looking for discounted Nike products. Overall, it’s worth checking out if you’re a fan of the brand.

For anyone who’s skeptical whether to visit Birmingham clearance store or not?
Here’s a glimpse of the collection.

I’m a genuine admirer of Nike’s products; the brand is fantastic, and the value of your items is consistently great. However, I’m compelled to write this because the service at your tills is consistently, profoundly poor, and it’s simply unacceptable.
My recent visit was a prime example: the queues were outrageously long, so much so that I was forced to abandon my purchases entirely. This isn’t an isolated incident; there’s always a massive queue, and it’s incredibly frustrating to witness.
It utterly baffles me why there isn’t more staff on the tills. It’s a fundamental failure in customer management. To make matters worse, it’s clear many people in these lengthy queues are buying huge quantities, likely resellers. While I understand Nike’s stance on these sales, it means regular customers like me are left waiting an eternity for simply a few items.
My strong suggestion remains: implement dedicated tills for these large-volume customers and free up a couple of tills for “normal” shoppers. This isn’t just about convenience; it’s about basic respect for your customers’ time.
Nike, you boast an exceptional brand and product line, but the terrible service at your tills is completely undermining the entire shopping experience. You need to address this immediately. It’s a critical flaw that’s driving customers away.

Make sure you go on Monday morning. Great store for bargain hunters! The Nike Clearance Store in Birmingham offers huge discounts on trainers, clothing, and sportswear. Stock rotates often, so it’s hit or miss, but worth checking out. It can get crowded, but staff are helpful and checkout is quick. Arrive early for the best selection.

Never anything in stock as they let people who sell elsewhere buy 20 or so boxes. Shelves are always empty and workers’ attitude stinks. Better off paying full price than to have to deal with such a horrible experience.

Customer Reviews
Great service. Went in yesterday (12/07/2025) and was assisted by Jamie (tall with baseball cap).
Ran me through the Gait analysis process and then advised me on several pairs of running shoes which would be suitable, which I tried until I found a pair that fit best.
Got them at a reasonable price and even a little cheaper, as they accepted Blue Light Card for an additional 10% off.
No pushy selling or pressure to buy – just gently enquired if I required any additional gear and then left me to browse and decide after the gait analysis.
Other member of staff there also pleasant and helpful, and Jamie (another Jamie) was very pleasant when I went in a little while back to browse whilst I was in the area.
Will be back if I require any other running gear and would highly recommend. Many thanks!

Completely new to the gait analysis thing but was very well explained and run through by all 3 members of staff who were on shift Saturday.
My partner who we were buying for is reasonably new to the long distance running scene, so the personalised recommendations from the staff who compete in numerous distances of running events was extremely useful.
You could tell the passion they had for running which came out in the service we received.
Walked away with a pair of New Balance and ON trainers which the better half has fallen in love with.
Sure to be back very soon.

I recently visited Up & Running in Birmingham to get a running analysis and find the perfect pair of running trainers. The experience was fantastic! Jamie, the shop assistant, was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Despite the store getting busy, he managed to balance helping multiple customers with ease and professionalism. Jamie’s dedication and hard work truly deserve recognition.
The running analysis was thorough, and Jamie provided excellent recommendations based on my gait and running style. To top it off, the trainers I purchased were cheaper than anywhere online. I highly recommend Up & Running in Birmingham for their exceptional service and great prices!

Absolutely amazing service. Went here today after wearing some very worn out brooks, had no idea about my running technique . Laura found me the perfect running trainers – some New Balance ones and did not give up on me despite trying on so many different pairs. Gait analysis complete and I’m so happy now. The best customer service I think I’ve ever received. Never pushed for a sale once, I wouldnt ever go anywhere else now . Jamie was also great, we had our toddler with us and Jamie entertained him and really went out of his way to make us feel welcome whilst being there. 10/10!

100% will come back again for any running/sports needs. I spoke to Jamie on the phone who explained the gait analysis process and was assisted by Alfie in store. Alfie was so helpful, he did my gait analysis, advised on what shoes would help me the most, brought out a variety to try and gave me tonnes of advice on what to look for in deciding on what shoe. Felt like I was in very capable hands and just left with my first pair of running shoes. Really great friendly guys, I couldn’t recommend enough.

JLL Fitness Ltd. offers a mixed bag when it comes to refurbished equipment. While some customers have reported positive experiences with prompt delivery and replacements for missing parts, it’s clear their quality control processes need significant improvement. Many seem to experience issues with damaged items not accurately described in the product listing.
A significant concern appears to be the frustrating returns process, with reports of miscommunication regarding collection logistics and a lack of clear communication from customer support. Buying a refurbished item can be a good deal, but customers should be prepared for potential complications and ensure they fully understand the return policy.

Customer Reviews
I bought a refurbished treadmill which came with broken plastic pieces and one bend metal one- these broken pieces wasn’t on the description. refurbished item means that the machine will have cosmetic damage as scratches- not broken pieces. Moreover, these broken pieces wasn’t in the description on the website.
I requested a refund since they want to send me all these pieces, and replace it myself.. which is not right. Why I would replace broken pieces of a machine who recently was “inspected” and it should be alright in the first place? I didnt pay half of the price (compared of a new one) to replace pieces myself and I dont trust if they actually inspection the machine -Under they policies and UK law, these broken pieces wasnt describe it in the post; so, I requested a refund and to return it, after that was requested… everything was hell.
The collection is kerbside, which means it has to be in the public place when the driver arrives. On top of that, the driver needs to strapped the machine to the wooden crate which they didnt say it to the driver company, and the first attempt it couldnt be collected. The customer support intentionally didnt respond my point on: weather, driver doesnt have the straps, kerbside exposure.
The JLL customer support play cheeky agreeing on what I was saying and changing the rules once it was out of collection. The driver AGAIN didnt took the machine because it didnt have the strap, and mentioned that JLL ALAWAYS does this. I messaged JLL and they told me to wait that the driver should be before 6pm- 4 hours time.
In conclusion, the currier company says that JLL didnt say about the straps and they dont take it. The, JLL says that they did… and the cycle continues.
I hope to have my money back, o I will go to court because it has been terrible service and the item wasnt describe it as it actually was, I have all the right to have my money back!

So I ordered the ventus 3 and s300 treadmill and the ventus 3 rowing machine came with a cracked case I’ve sent email no reply left multiple voicemails nothing and continuously rung over and over again everyday but no answer. It seems when you have a problem they don’t want to know. I’m now getting problems with the treadmill as it’s making knocking noises for some odd reason. I recommend not getting from this company as the customer service is non existent. I recieved the ventus 3 Christmas Eve and treadmill after the new year and still waiting for a reply back for the broken case.

*PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING*
I ordered a t350 treadmill from JLL Fitness, unfortunately this was delivered broken to me, this could only be determined once fully assembled which took 2 hrs, the motor would not start and the treadmill belt would not move.
I reported the broken treadmill delivered to me to JLL Fitness the day after my delivery, unfortunately the customer service has been shocking, Rob who is a customer service advisor for JLL advised me he would arrange a new treadmill to be shipped to me whilst they wait for the return of the broken one, i was then later informed that the manager had overrid my new order and had advised that new parts would be posted to me to fix the treadmill myself!!
Firstly when you purchase a new treadmill, you expect exactly that, a new working treadmill, not one you have to fix yourself, it’s also worth noting JLL do not have engineers like other companies in the same market who come out and fix there faulty products in warranty so please consider this when spending your hard earned money
Treadmills are not cheap and you want a service you can rely on, I refused to accept the poor service being offered to me by JLL and requested a full refund.
This takes me to my next problem with JLL Fitness, I was advised to return the broken treadmill I would need to put the treadmill outside at curbside for courier collection , something I’ve never heard of and a rather poor service in my opinion, this put the ownership and added stress back on to me the customer.
A day was given for courier collection and i was told collection could be any time after 2pm, the treadmill had to be outside or courier would drive off! i live in a nice neighbourhood however you never know who may drive past so i had to continously watch the treadmill out of worry if it had been taken by anyone other than the courier then i wouldn’t of received my refund.
Treadmills aren’t exactly light to move around, the treadmill wheels are not fit for purpose and failed to do there job. I was very careful in moving the treadmill as I’m a very house proud woman but the wheels left black scratches to my wooden floor, I was mortified!!
JLL are refusing liability as I moved the treadmill, they refuse to accept. If i hadn’t of been requested to move the treadmill using the treadmills wheels to my curbside or even better had not been delivered a broken treadmill this would not of happened!
If you order from JLL and your lucky enough to get a working treadmill it would appear from the good reviews you may be OK but If you find yourself unlucky like me and get delivered a broken / faulty one then it’s an absolute nightmare!
I recommend not taking the risk and going to a more reputable company who value the service they are providing to all there customers.
I wouldn’t want another customer experiencing the awful service I have received from JLL Fitness!!
*Update to my review as per JLL Fitness reply*
The marks to my floor are not on the wall, they are to the floor. I can assure you the treadmill was moved with care and only moved when the treadmill was in the correct position using the wheels. Therefore the damage was only from the wheels! The lines may not be straight but pushing a heavy treadmill even on wheels makes it difficult to push straight and is a poor excuse to not take accountability for the poor wheel design on your treadmill.
I did not opt to have treadmill picked up curbside this was requested by JLL as it was advised they couldn’t collect the treadmill for 10 days with the treadmill dismantled and put back in the box that arrived to me damaged as per pictures sent to your customer service team, i didn’t want the offer of sending me parts to fix to the treadmill myself, as I previously mentioned to JLL customer service team. When you purchase new you expect new and not having to fix your new purchase yourself.
I have requested 4 days ago for a deadlock letter to be sent to me to escalate my complaint further but have failed to receive a reply. Please respond accordingly.

They sell faulty, cheap equipment and have terrible customer service. Best avoid! Each item I purchased either arrived broken and had to be returned, or broke after a short while. They offered no apology, made me pay for replacement parts, then sent damaged, second hand spares. You’d be better off trying a more professional, reliable alternative.

I have been the owner of a JLL Ventus 2 rower since April 2020. I am extremely happy with this unit and certainly stands up well against the Concept model unit that I previously used at my local gym. After over 200, 000 strokes it is still going strong and has pride of place in my garage. Also been very impressed with JLL and found them to be extremely helpful during the rare occasions that I have required to contact them. I am 6ft 2 and 100kgs and in my early 50’s.

Disappointed with Delivery and Customer Service
I ordered this product with high expectations, as I needed it for an important occasion. However, it never arrived, and the entire experience has been incredibly frustrating. Timely delivery was critical for me, and the delay caused significant inconvenience.
While customer service was quick to respond to my inquiries, their lack of empathy was deeply disappointing. They acknowledged the issue but offered no meaningful solutions or sense of urgency to resolve the problem. It felt like they were more focused on ticking boxes than actually helping.
Not receiving the item I ordered, when I needed it most, was unacceptable. I hope the company addresses these issues with delivery reliability and customer care. I would not buy from this company again

JD Sports presents a frustrating experience. While they offer a wide selection of athletic footwear and apparel, the overall service quality often falls short. Many customers report significant issues with click and collect orders, experiencing delays and unhelpful staff interactions. The atmosphere inside the stores is frequently described as chaotic and unpleasant.
The store’s commitment to customer service appears lacking, with instances of staff prioritizing certain transactions over assisting customers effectively. This, combined with reports of staff inaction during concerning incidents outside the store, raises serious questions regarding their dedication to a safe and positive shopping environment. Improving staff training is essential.

I’d read an article recently saying that JD Sports sales were slumping, and blaming consumer confidence. When I went into the New Street store, however, it was busy on a weekday afternoon so I thought maybe Birmingham was bucking the trend. I knew which runners I wanted to try on, which were on a display close to the entrance. It all went downhill from there. Trying to get someone to get them in my size was the first challenge – dismissed by the first person I found, then the next one had to get a colleague to do it. After waiting around for a good while, they eventually brought me one shoe and told me to get the other one from the display.
Tried the shoe on and wanted to buy, so got the pitch about joining the loyalty scheme and was then told to go queue, while they kept the box.
The queue was at the back of the store and long and slow. The music is awful and LOUD, and there was noise from all the people, the tired children etc who also had to wait. The mood and atmosphere was also not enhanced by how warm and stuffy it all was.
I could still see the entrance/exit from my spot in the queue and eventually, after it was only slowly edging forwards, I decided that I could just save my money and time and not torture myself any further, so I just left.
Tl;dr: apparently sales are slumping, and I gave up on trying to give them my money because of an overall unpleasant shopping experience. Sports Direct (almost next door) is actually less painful!

If I could I would give 0 stars. On 18th of July I made an order which was same day click and collected, i went next day to collect my order. When I asked them for my parcel they said its not ready yet and to come back after 2pm. I sent my husband 3.45pm to collect the order still they said its not ready yet and he should have come before 2pm because they do click and collect order before 2pm now he has to come back tomorrow. I had the email and direct message as well where said my order is ready to collect still i had to experience all this. Very slow and Very bad customer service. Never want to go back on this shop. 0 star

This company is disgusting. A woman was being beaten up by a man outside this store and when a member of staff stepped in to protect the woman the shop instead of rewarding the member of staff for doing the right thing they sacked him. Effectively it means JD Sports supports violence against women.

Outstanding Service – Thank You Felix!
I had a challenging experience at first due to some confusion around an online order and delays in delivery, but everything turned around thanks to Felix, the store manager at JD Sports Birmingham New Street.
Felix was incredibly professional, kind, and genuinely cared about helping me. After hearing that I had an international flight the next day and had already faced stress due to the situation, he stepped in personally, offered me a special discount, and helped me find exactly what I needed — all while making sure I left with my order on time.
His attitude and support made all the difference. This wasn’t just great service — it was a lifesaver. Thank you, Felix, for your outstanding help, and thank you JD Sports for having someone like him on your team.

The service here is awful, would not recommend. This is a long review so buckle up. I already knew what shoes I wanted to buy when I walked in so I picked it off the shelf and asked for my size. He then gave the shoe to a different colleage and told me it would be 2 minutes. 5 minutes pass and still no shoes. I ask the person who took the shoe off me in the first place and he was like “oh let me check”. Another couple minutes go by and I finally get given the shoes to try on (I’m between sizes and it varies brand to brand so I had to try them on) but for security reasons(?) I was only given one. I tried it on and it was slightly too large so I asked for the next size down instead. This time ANOTHER staff member when to get them and were gone a long time. Then after 10 minutes they saw me from across the room, gave the shocked pikachu face as if they forgot me and then held up 2 fingers and mouthed “give me two secs”. After a couple more minutes I had the shoes and they put them behind the till. After waiting in line for what felt like an eternity, the cashier just felt rude and I was so done by that point I just wanted to pay and leave. Won’t shop there again, lesson learned I guess.

Kura deserves a promotion, she went above and beyond contacting customer service twice to help me secure a refund because the system was a bit of a mess. Thank you Kura for the outstanding service and getting my refund sorted even tho I had lost my receipt. That’s what is called going above and beyond in customer service I hope you get promoted.

Sports Direct offers a vast selection of athletic apparel and equipment. The sheer size of their inventory is a major draw, providing customers with a wide range of choices for different sports and activities. While the overall product availability is impressive, the quality of the service can sometimes be inconsistent, depending on staff availability.
The store’s strength lies in its ability to cater to a broad customer base with competitive pricing. It’s a good resource for finding bargains on sporting goods and often provides seasonal promotions. However, improved staff training and customer interaction would greatly enhance the overall shopping experience and make it a truly enjoyable destination.

Huge branch of Sports Direct. Puts my local one to shame. Multi-floors and I was very impressed by the football section. So much variety of team kits, and I was able to get my kid a kit that had only just been released.
Massively convenient that they print the kit for you there, as my local one makes you leave it with them and collect a few days later.
Only issue I had was the first member of staff I approached seemed really confused that I wanted a premier league badge printed on a premier league kit, and took a while before another member of staff came in to take over the situation. It took a while for the press to heat up so had a little wait, but no big deal.

This branch has the worst service of all sports directs in the country.
If I was head office I would send in a few fake shoppers to get a good understanding of what is going on at your New st branch.
Staff more interested in talking to each other, 0 communication to customer, no hello, please, thank you.
Leaving security tags on, giving wrong shoes in box, mangers/supervisors telling off staff when said staff are helping you out.
An all around experience on what a poorly recruited and trained staff look like. Will no be visiting again! Was warned before hand to avoid this will just go to many alternative shops.

Used them since my junior county days. I’m 41 now so don’t have to visit as often but they’ve always been super supportive, friendly and knowledgeable when it comes to making purchases of my badminton stuff. A real family run business. The only yonex partner in Birmingham too so they can get racquets replaced under warranty if they break on court. Can’t fault em.

Great selection of rackets and clothes. I bought a pair of tennis shoes today and the staff were very helpful and patient letting me bring my dog into the store and try on multiple pairs. Would 100% recommend to tennis and badminton enthusiasts!

Extremely welcoming staff, who will try everything in power to help you get the racket/product best suited for you. Personally, couldn’t be happier with the products I bought, and would highly recommend the shop to anyone. I will definitely be visiting in the future, despite being at the other end of the country!

I restrung a few rackets here, not being from the area. Received amazing advice on rackets, strings and local clubs. Also because I was restringing a racket for a friend who’d been furloughed and a bit pinched for cash, they upgraded the strings for no charge. Nice people, very knowledgeable – what more could you want.

It’s an utter disgrace what the local council have inflicted on those businesses with the bollards blocking access on around York Road. This shop is the go to place for racquet sport enthusiasts. They have expertise from a very helpful family business, with unique services like raquet re-stringing. Prices are reasonable and competitive, add the invaluable advice available, this shop and its people are an institution to many. High Streets and councils should not undervalue the need for niche businesses where all of the above inspire people not to shop online but to visit areas and enjoy other amenities along the way.

The two gentleman were very helpful in advising me on what string to have in my racket and what tension to go for. It’s been a long time since I had a racket restrung and I would definitely recommended this shop for stringing and rackets.

Extremely poor service.I had heard good things about this shop and hence ordered a racket online. It’s been nearly two weeks since I have paid and there is no update. I have tried calling multiple times(at least 5 times a day for 3-4 days) but no response. Have emailed them but no response. Will never buy or try getting anything from here. If I could give them zero stars, I would.

My experience with Central Sports was deeply disappointing. While they offer a seemingly vast selection of sporting goods, the delivery process was chaotic. My order was significantly delayed and required an inconvenient trip to a warehouse for collection, demonstrating a lack of reliable shipping logistics.
Beyond the delivery issues, the quality control appeared to be nonexistent. The item I received arrived damaged, suggesting a failure in proper inspection before dispatch. The absence of any response from their customer service following my complaint further underscores a concerning lack of commitment to resolving customer issues regarding product quality and order fulfillment.

JANK Customer Service. AVOID this company
Bought two pairs of shoes to match with my partner and opted for first class but they only sent off one pair neglecting to inform me if it was okay to ship. Had to ring multiple times to get a straight answer and raise a complaint from lack of notice on when to expect the other pair. I was told during the end of the week that it was in stock at their warehouse the whole time and i had requested for a guaranteed saturday delivery that didnt turn out to be a guarantee as its through the worst courier service of all time – Parcelforce. So it ended being sent the next week and I was better off not spending extra for 1st class.
Even then, they sent off the incorrect unit of BOTH pairs because it didnt match the photo displayed on the webpage. I received a WIDE Variant rather than a NARROW FITTING ver. of the shoe despite the similar colour profile. Then customer service goes on to say that the unit code on the website matches that of the one displayed on my shoebox and that I am just nuts…Apparently everyone buys a shoe based on the unit code at the middle of the webpage rather than the picture shown. If I wasnt entitled to free 1st class shipping and Saturday Delivery Guarantee id be down a lot of £££ and I needed it urgently so i missed out on a competition

I had a great first experience with Central Sports, which made me confident to order again. However, my second order was extremely disappointing.
Firstly, the racket was not delivered to my home—I had to take an hour-long tube trip to a warehouse to collect it. Secondly, the racket arrived with visible paint damage, a missing advertising card, and the branded grip sticker had been torn off. It looked like a returned or used product.
I emailed their customer service with clear photos, but after several days, I have received no response at all. I’ve even placed a new order recently, but now I’m honestly worried about the quality and service going forward.
I really hope Central Sports improves its customer care and quality control. I loved this brand initially, but now I’m losing trust. Still hoping to hear back soon.

Absolutely shocking service. Twice I have made a purchase which has not been fulfilled. I purchased a racket and it took over a week to be told they did not actually have it in stock, and another week for the refund to arrive back into my account.
Now I have made a purchase which was delivered next day but for a completely different product. After calling, I was told it was an error but they did have the correct rackets in stock; they will ship these today and don’t need to wait for the return. I then get an email saying actually the item is out of stock, please send back and they will issue the refund upon receipt. Shocking.
Stick with BadmintonHQ and DirectBadminton. Similar prices and even if slightly cheaper it’s not worth the hassle. Half the products on the website are ‘coming soon ‘ (no stock) and the ones that allegedly are in stock aren’t anyway.

I do NOT recommend buying from Central Sports at all.
To sum up the issue: I have paid for 3 tops plus a very high delivery fee (48€ delivery from UK to Ireland!?!) in March, and we are now in August and, 7 emails + a negative comment later, I still have no tops nor a refund.
I know the package was returned to them since the Customs had called me early in the process to say that CS did not provide the necessary invoice to process the delivery, and they also had no contact details, so they sent the package back to CS.
Last time I left a negative review, I finally got an email back from them (5th of June) where they said they was a problem with their records but ParcelForce showed “returned to sender”.
Again, if Central Sports UK finally wants to do something about it, the order is #CS51315.
In any case, I’m really unhappy with them and will warn everyone I meet not to order there, if nothing is done immediately.

Excellent Service and Attention to Detail!
I ordered a Yonex Ezone 100L from Central Sports and couldn’t be happier with the experience. The racket arrived in perfect condition, with custom strings exactly as specified and the right colour. They even matched the overgrip colour beautifully to the racket, which was a great touch. The autograph was done cleanly and professionally. Really impressed by the care and precision—Central Sports clearly knows how to deliver top-tier service. Highly recommended!

AVOID.
Do not order online from this company, fancy website. Worst customer service ,and disgusting business practices. They list items on their website at desirable prices but don’t have any stock, never did have the items in stock! . They don’t reply to emails and then only issue you a refund once you ring up and complain. When talking on the phone it became evident that they do this all the time. Wonder how many people they’ve scammed over the years were never revived orders. I would give a 0 star review if I could

White middle ages man manager with a stubble type of beard wouldn’t let me return my Offspring order which I made online said ‘We don’t offer that service for 2 years’. I left disappointed travelled all the way to the store to return the item. I had to used a prepaid label service which gets deducted from my refund and I have to speak to head office regarding this matter. Purposely avoiding accountability and actually doing their job.

I bought these shoes three days ago and when I got home I found out that I had picked up the wrong shoe size. When I returned to the store, the clerk told me that I couldn’t change the size because I didn’t bring a shoebox, but the goods were new and I had a complete receipt. I thought the clerk was very bad and I needed to change my size, which was the first time in my life that I had made such an unpleasant purchase. ☹️I’m surprised to find out that many people have had the same experience as me, and this shop is really bad, especially this bald, bearded male clerk.

Disgusted at the service. Came in to the Birmingham bullring store spoke to a lady at the font on the receipt it says maryam she has long hair. Her attitude was disgusting gave me dirty looks when I asked if they did school shoes. Just said yes and rolled her eyes and pointed to the back. Then I went to the back and checked myself.
When u chose the shoes I went to pay and she was told to serve she stamped the recipt saying that she has explained returns policy but she didn’t so obviously isn’t following company rules as she stamped but not explained I can imagine This causing an issue if someone did want to refund something on sale . Not professional at all and I think they should check who it is they hire and next time I’m not shopping here again. Date was Tuesday 26th August 2025 time was 15:45 should management want to check her attitude on camera I was in south Asian attitude with my little sister in a black hoodie and black dress

My partner tried to collect on my behalf and was met with very rude service.
In the email, the OFFICE policy is as advised: ‘SOMEONE COLLECTING FOR YOU – They will be required to give your unique order number which can be found on your Confirmation, Dispatch and Ready to collect emails we will send. One of these three emails should also be shown at the point of collection. They will also need to provide Photo ID for themselves and sign to say they have collected the item on your behalf. They will also be required to give their full name.’
My partner had the necessary requirements – emails, ID etc. and even read out this policy to the store member. Instead of listening, he refused to hand him the parcel and acted in a very assertive manner, as if he knew better. He tried to argue that people have been stealing parcels but, regardless, this shouldn’t affect the standard collection policy. It wasn’t until my partner asked him for his name that he said ‘I’ll let you off this time’. In the end, he didn’t even check my partner’s ID or the order number properly – he just looked at the name of the email. My partner wasn’t able to get his name but the store member was bald, with a beard, around 5’9.

The staff is extremely rude. I was given a pair from the display even after I specifically asked them to give me a new pair. They paid no heed to my request and went ahead and packed up the pair on display. Only after I paid and checked again did I notice it was the same pair. When I asked again, Justin very rudely said “I don’t know what you are going on about”. I have never experienced such rude behaviour. He wouldn’t answer any questions. On asking if I would be able to return it without any issues he goes on to say, you can only exchange or get a gift card within 14 days even when my purchase was a full price one. I would never go back to this store.

Be nice if i could wear the shoes i have paid for. Well in fact the 2x pairs that im still waiting for over 2 WEEKS LATER! YODEL is the issue but Office continues to use a company that isn’t fit for purpose with 0 customer support( helpline permanently closed) guess its Office reputation that will take the hit as i will never order shoes from Office again as long as they continue to use yodel.

I recently had a frustrating experience with an online order. The trainers I purchased for my wife were too small, and due to my demanding work schedule and the distance to the nearest store, I was only able to visit the store today. Upon arrival, I was informed that I had exceeded the 28-day return window.
While I understand the return policy, the trainers are unworn, and I was simply requesting an exchange. Unfortunately, the store manager, Michael, was extremely unhelpful and dismissive, stating that nothing could be done unless customer service approved it. Although he was following the policy, his tone was unnecessarily rude, which only added to my frustration.
As a result, I am now stuck with a pair of unworn trainers that can’t be exchanged. It’s disappointing to take time off work to resolve an issue, only to encounter poor customer service. I hope this matter is addressed to prevent similar experiences in the future.
Additionally, I would like to mention another staff member, Everaldo (if I have the name correct). For someone representing such a reputable company, the tone and attitude used when speaking to customers was unacceptable and unnecessary. However, I would like to acknowledge one very polite staff member, whose name I unfortunately did not catch. She was incredibly helpful and made a positive difference in an otherwise disappointing visit. Thank you to her.
