My little one is growing out of the newborn baby carrier car seat we bought from this very store. We went in to look at wider car seats to make car journeys a bit more comfortable. One of your store assistants, Della, acknowledged us on arrival and let us browse. I remember she helped us on a previous trip when my baby’s due date was near! When we had some questions, she approached us and answered each with kindness and expertise. We just went in to browse, but ended up making a purchase all thanks to Della. She helped us install the baby seat in the car and offered professional advice and demonstrations with baby in the seat regarding health and safety. Please express our thanks to her!

I just wanted to give a huge shoutout to Della (based in the baby room) who went above and beyond during my recent visit to Smyths Toy Store. I originally came in to purchase a cot (which unfortunately wasn’t in stock), but Della ended up helping me with something far more important — my baby’s car seat. She noticed it wasn’t installed safely and immediately offered to help. Her knowledge, patience, and genuine care made such a difference. She took the time to ensure it was fitted correctly and gave me great advice for future use. I left the store feeling so much more confident and grateful. Thank you, Della, for your kindness and expertise. You turned what could’ve been a frustrating trip into a really positive experience.

I love going to symths with my grand kids, so much to choose from, but my goodness everything in there is so very expensive. All I can say when travelling to symths just make sure your purse, wallet or bank card is well stocked

This is one of favorite toy store of my children. Our home is full of their toys. We never had a bad experience. Staff is always ready to help.

Today, I was served by a staff member named Muhammed at the Click & Collect point in Castlevale Smyths. I am extremely disappointed with the level of customer service I received. My order was cancelled because I had placed the same item on order at both the Walsall and Castlevale branches. While I understand the policy behind this, I did not expect to be spoken to in such a disrespectful manner. Muhammed was smirking throughout the interaction and made an inappropriate comment, accusing me of "cheating the system." He then remarked, "So you travelled all the way 30 minutes just to buy another one?" When I explained that my family lives in Walsall, he continued with, "So you got your family to order it for you?"-which was untrue and entirely irrelevant. The receipt clearly had my name on it, and frankly, NONE of that is his business. This kind of attitude is unacceptable. I felt uncomfortable, judged, and spoken down to. Customer service should be professional, respectful, and helpful. I’m very unhappy with the experience, and I’m leaving this review to ensure that this kind of behavior is addressed. I hope this serves as a reminder to Muhammed and the management team that customers should never be made to feel this way.

1st time shopped here. Went to return an item. Unprofessional and horrible man (Mohammad) at the till. Apparently he's the manager. Very rude and arrogant! I've just noted, it's not just me, see other reviews!!!! Smyth's needs to look into this matter!!

How can a company sell a so called ‘gaming PC’ for £600 that doesn’t even have a graphics card? Would you pay triple the value for something that can’t even run real games? I was new to gaming PCs and didn’t fully understand the specs I trusted Smyths to sell me something fair. Instead, I got a system with no GPU, a weak CPU, only 480GB of storage, and no liquid cooler. I genuinely thought I was investing in a proper gaming PC that would last me 5+ years with no need to upgrade. But one years later, it’s worth less than £200 and struggles with basic performance. Meanwhile, a proper gaming PC from AWD-IT costs just £400 and comes with a better CPU, a 5060 GPU, 1TB of storage, and a liquid cooler. I didn’t just lose money I wasted 90% of it. This feels like I got scammed. Please, don’t make the same mistake I did. Always check the full specs before trusting the label gaming PC.
