the amount of AI slop in half of these stalls is absolutely ridiculous (the cocktails “poster” pictured is just laughable.) this used to be a lovely little place to find unique and genuinely handcrafted art from local creatives, but it’s very jarring to see what it has become. support real artists and get rid of this awful slop.

Arcangelo Cutolo

Really great and unique pieces and so fun to walk around. Great place to go and look around even if you’re not looking to buy.

Still a bit in progress here with a lot of stalls still being built etc. but the businesses that are there are great! Would recommend visiting for anybody who likes fashion, art and decor

Prices are also reasonable for most things considering they are small businesses and lots of homemade stuff

I absolutely love this place, stumbled across it by accident and ended up spending over £100, could’ve easily spent more if I could afford to!
My only complaint is we were told (by staff) that there is no toilet- they have a cafe inside and a tattoo studio (tattoos take hours, sometimes a whole day) so surely there must be a toilet on site?
We spent nearly 2 hours looking around this market, its so diverse and unique. Will definitely be back if I visit Birmingham again

Great place to buy bargained products! They sell a lot of second-hand vintage items at afforable prices. This place is perfect for those who are constantly on the hunt for hidden treasures. I bought a lovely t-shirt and cute earrings with less than £20. Will definitely be back next time when having a chance to visit Birmingham!

Not a bad place, but ideally check the pockets of items, we found what was a Mickey Finn in one of the pockets, and buttons missing off items, check your product before you put it out and charge what I can only say far to much, and not all the items are true vintage, tut tut…

Went to return an item one had the tag on the two other items did not. Even though she was shown the bank transaction she’s telling
me that she’s already breaking the rules exchanging one item? Breaking the rules how… when most other stores would accept evidence of the bank transaction that I’ve spent £124 in your store. No your not doing anyone favours because it’s second hand clothes… No different than any other charity store besides the prices on the clothing there is extremely higher, especially when the rag market is up the road!

A very friendly atmosphere inside, and a great variety.

I got some food from here on “too good to go” and my gosh it’s actually the best jacket potato I’ve ever had I don’t know if it’s the potato they use or the butter or cheese or what but I wish mine turned out like that at home.

I bought a fruit smoothie as I saw it on the board outside, they also do veggie ones but I only saw that after I already ordered .

Seems like a lovely place where the staff put love into their work.

I found this place from the app but I’m coming back here again myself to try out more of their menu. This doesn’t just feel like a business it feels like they genuinely care and love all their customers and a very homely hearty vibe. Those jacket potatoes won over my heart.

Vintage leather jackets/ grade B track suit trousers V grade A track trousers

Wow I was so pleased in receiving Vintage leather jackets, really good looking jackets, only few needed mending, which I can do myslef.I have sold two jackets already, and I know once I have adverticed jackets on more selling webpages, there shouldn’t be an issue to have them sold. Really grateful and I want to buy more stuff from Vintage Wholesale Clothing UK

Can’t leave different review, have to add to this one.
I haven’t been as pleased, when I have received my 2nd order from Vintage Wholesale Clothing, as quit big procentage of trousers wasn’t as good condition as I have expectd it to be, still having a better luck to resel it,comparing to nice leather jackets. If I could leave a rating for my 2nd order it would only be 3 stars, as seller did gave me a discount towards my 3rd order to reclaim the cost.

And I am really pleased to use a discount and order the 3rd and 4th orders, which was grade A track suit trousers, and grade B jackets, both orders to my satisfactory and items looks good 🙂 hopefully there will be no issue in selling it.

Really fast shipping, literally arrived in two days! the quality of the clothes is great too. I purchased the grade B jackets and would 100% recommend. There was one item with a larger stain on but the rest were washable and none of the items had any other signs of wear, If you ask me 1/40 is amazing. Was my first time using vintage wholesale uk and will definitely be ordering again very soon.

10/10, what can I say? I have been using other wholesalers for two years now and the quality these guys supply is unmatched. I have placed three orders now and the output of stock is consistent. Delivery is also very quick, usually dispatched within one day and received the very next day. The grade B they supply is better than the grade A supplied by ‘top rated’ wholesalers. Will deffo be ordering again in the near future.

Ordered another bale in their sale and to be honest.. I absolutely love the stock! Shipping was slightly delayed more than what I expected but after checking their website, it does state to allow up to 7 days for processing as it’s a busy period so completely understand After reading some other reviews online (a couple of negative ones) I’m pretty sure that anyone complaining must be a first time customer or have not ordered wholesale at all before! This is not a fast fashion company. My advice to anyone would be to be patient, they always get back to me eventually and I have no doubt you’ll love your bundle once it arrives! Thanks guys, will be ordering again soon

Mihaela Burca

So, let me tell you my experience with Vintage Wholesale Clothing:
I’ve placed 2 orders on 10/01/2022. 5 days later, I had no reply to my emails, so I came on this page to see if they posted any updates. I got to meet some nice people here who were in the same situation as me, and we went down on a rabbit whole being 100% sure that we’ve been ripped off. That night, I’ve started to receive answers to my emails from VWC explaining the situation. Today, 21/01/2022, I’ve received my orders and guess what? I am so happy about what I’ve received that I will definitely go back and order more . Quantity/Quality/Price just amazing! I can see that they took on board the advice given to update us with what’s going on! As I said before, we don’t mind waiting as long as we know what’s happening. It may take a while until you receive the delivery, but trust me is worth the money!
Final thoughts: these guys are doing their best, so well done and thank you!I will definitely be back soon!

I came to Birmingham for holiday and I was looking at different secondhand stores to go to. It’s something I like to do and I came across this shop. And I’m so glad I found it. Everything in this store is so pretty and a lot of things I like to wear. Compared to other secondhand stores. I bought a 100% wall coat. I’ve been looking for one of these for a very long time and I’m so glad I found one here and it was a very good price compared to other coats. I looked at. This is definitely a hidden gem in Birmingham. You should definitely go here. If you’re in Birmingham. And the lady who runs the store, she’s so lovely.

What types of vintage items can I typically find?

Birmingham’s vintage shops generally offer a diverse range of items. You can often discover clothing from various decades, including 1920s flapper dresses, 1950s rockabilly attire, and 1970s disco fashion. Beyond clothing, many shops also sell furniture, homewares, jewelry, accessories, records, and collectible toys. The specific inventory varies greatly from shop to shop.

Where are the best areas to find vintage shops in Birmingham?

Several areas within Birmingham are known for their concentration of vintage shops. The Jewellery Quarter is renowned for its antique and vintage jewelry and small collectibles. Harborne has a growing collection of independent vintage and retro stores. Moseley also provides a good selection, often with a more curated and artistic feel. It's beneficial to explore these areas to discover hidden gems.

How do vintage shop prices compare to modern retail prices?

The pricing in vintage shops can be complex. While some items might be priced lower than equivalent new items due to age or condition, others, especially those by designers or rare pieces, can command higher prices. Prices often reflect the item's rarity, condition, and historical significance. It's worth comparing prices with online marketplaces for similar items to gain perspective.

What condition can I expect vintage items to be in?

Vintage items are, by definition, pre-owned, so expect some degree of wear and tear. Condition varies significantly. Some items may be in near-perfect condition, while others will display signs of age, such as fading, minor repairs, or loose stitching. Shops typically describe the condition of each item, so it's important to carefully review those descriptions.

Are vintage clothes and items often cleaned before being sold?

Reputable vintage shops prioritize hygiene. While not all items are professionally dry-cleaned, many shops will clean items to a reasonable standard before putting them on sale. This often includes washing clothing and disinfecting smaller items. However, it’s always wise to launder or clean anything purchased before wearing or using it.

How can I authenticate a vintage item?

Authenticating a vintage item can be challenging. Look for manufacturer's marks, labels, and construction techniques that are characteristic of the era. Researching historical fashion and production methods is crucial. If you suspect an item may be a reproduction, consulting with a vintage expert is highly recommended.

What should I do if I want to sell my vintage items?

If you’re looking to sell your vintage items, several options are available. You could approach vintage shops directly to see if they’re interested in purchasing your items. Alternatively, you could sell through online marketplaces or consignment shops. Carefully researching the market value of your items and understanding the consignment terms is key.

What is the difference between "vintage" and "antique"?

While often used interchangeably, "vintage" and "antique" have distinct meanings. Vintage generally refers to items that are at least 20 years old, though the term is often applied more loosely. Antique typically refers to items that are at least 100 years old. This distinction is crucial when assessing an item's value and historical significance.

Are vintage shops open year-round, or are there seasonal limitations?

Most vintage shops are open year-round, although opening hours may vary seasonally. During the holiday season, many shops may have extended hours or special events. It's a good idea to check the shop’s website or social media pages for current operating hours before visiting.

How do I find out about upcoming vintage events and sales?

Many vintage shops and organizations promote upcoming events and sales through their websites, social media pages, and email newsletters.
