Did the tour at 12:30 today. An excellent hour of history, information and sights of the centre of Birmingham from the canal waterways. If you are ever in the area this is a must do trip. Very reasonable pricing and a great presenter with live commentary. Great way to see the new and the old architecture in the UK’s second largest city. Thank you.

What an excellent way to spend an hour or so in Birmingham on the canal.
Charlotte was great and steered us safely through the canals for this informative tour of the canals.
As a party of 3 (including my less than mobile mother) we had a lovely, relaxing time.
They were very helpful with her walking frame and helping her onto the boat. Everyone was considerate and patient.
A great multi generational experience.
Learnt a lot about the canals too
Plus it’s very good value

Had an excellent experience with Brindley Cruises. Our guide Chris gave a fascinating and entertaining talk for the hour long cruise, pointing out landmarks and points of interest along our route. Axel, our captain steered us safely and calmly along the route, while the hostess (whose name escapes me ) was on hand to manage ticket purchase and drinks dispensing as well as lookout on narrow bends. Prices of drinks on board were super value, but it was a tad early for us on this occasion!
Our only downside to comment on… small but a point worth making… is that there is no advance booking, so if you’re with a large group there is no guarantees of getting on the cruise you planned as its first come first served. The method of paying on board (correct cash or card) also seemed slightly awkwardly managed and risked some people not actually paying. Why not sell tickets in advance so both problems could be solved? This aspect certainly didn’t spoil OUR experience, as we were queuing early (20 mins beforehand), but we did see a large group of 30 extended family members unable to board and have to hang about for the next cruise (1.5hrs!). Whatever, though, this cruise is highly recommended

Me and my daughter came to Brindley place for the sea life centre and saw the boat as we were leaving. She loved being on the boat as did I. The price was good and they also serve alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages at really good prices. The tour itself was brilliant and very informative. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a nice chilled time going along the canal.

Really informative tour, helped my family board, our daughter is a wheelchair user and i emailed weeks in advance to confirm if they could accommodate her.
It took a couple of days to recieve a reply but pleased with the response. We stored the wheelchair on the roof, although there Isnt a dedicated accessible entrance, we were helped with our belongings and assisted onboard.
Once the trip finished, assistance was offered again and wheelchair was in good order.
Trip itself was very interesting, our guide was very informative and entertaining. Driver was helpful and confident navigating the boat. We’d definitely consider a private hire and will look to take the trip again in the future.

⭐ From Birmingham to the Cotswolds and back, everything was flawless – thanks to Perleny Tours and Misha!
We joined the Perleny Tours Cotswold trip on 12th September 2025 and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The entire tour was well planned, economical, and organised to perfection, making it great value for money.
The coach journey from Birmingham and back was very comfortable, with smooth travel and everything running on time. Our guide, Misha, deserves a special mention. He was highly knowledgeable, sharing a wealth of history, local stories, and cultural insights that brought each village to life. What impressed us most was his considerate approach—he paid attention to everyone’s needs, gave clear guidance, and ensured that the pace suited all travellers.
The highlight for us was Bourton-on-the-Water, where Misha’s explanations about the museums, local heritage, and charming bridges made the visit especially meaningful. There was also a perfect balance of guided commentary and free time to explore on our own.
We came back with wonderful memories and would wholeheartedly recommend Perleny Tours and Misha for anyone wishing to experience the Cotswolds in comfort and depth.

It was an amazing day of travel with my family
We were able to see the famous historical monuments and get into that historical atmosphere
Our bus was very comfortable, our guide Daniel greeted us warmly and accompanied us throughout the trip. We had enough time to explore Stonehenge with the museum and the Roman baths in Bath. There was also time to enjoy the beautiful views and architecture of the streets of Bath and eat the most delicious ice cream
There is access to the audio guide and choose your language!

I have purchased Family tickets ( 4 adults + 1 Infant for free) via Groupon and the tour was supposed to be for May but due to rainy day it was cancelled. Instead, we were offered for FREE Birmingham – Cotswolds Full-Day Tour which was amazing and momorable day.
We were offered to choose next available slot which was on 18th July 2025 for free.
I recently had the pleasure of experiencing a day trip to Stonehenge and Bath with Perlyny Tours on 18th July 2025, and I can confidently say it was one of the most well-organized and enjoyable tours I’ve ever taken. From start to finish, the entire journey was smooth, informative, and unforgettable. The travel guide lady was awesome.
The booking process was simple and efficient, and communication leading up to the trip was clear and helpful. On the day of the tour, our guide greeted us warmly and set a friendly tone for the entire group at 08.45 AM, on time. The vehicle was clean, spacious, and comfortable, making the drive between destinations very pleasant.
We reached Stonehenge at 12.30 PM with 5 minutes short break, we were given ample time to explore and absorb the mystery of this iconic landmark. We were given 1.5 hours to explore the insights. It was meant to be 2 hrs but due to traffic delayed. Our guide provided fascinating historical insights that truly enhanced the experience. The visit was perfectly timed to avoid crowds, which allowed for great photo opportunities and a more peaceful exploration. We were back in the van at 1400 and departed for Bath. I recommend everyone to book Stonhenge ticket in advance as it wil be expensive on the booking site, sometimes you might not find ticket slot.
We reached bath at 15.00. We were given 3 hours enjoy in Bath. In Bath, we enjoyed a scenic tour of the city and had time to explore the Roman Baths and charming Georgian architecture. The guide’s commentary was both engaging and educational, blending historical facts with local legends and a touch of humor. We never felt rushed and appreciated the balance of guided information and personal free time.
What truly set Perlyny Tours apart was their attention to detail and customer care. The guide was attentive to everyone’s needs, ensured we stayed on schedule without feeling pressured, and even shared tips on the best local spots to grab a quick bite.
This trip was more than just sightseeing—it was a beautifully curated experience that left a lasting impression. I highly recommend Perlyny Tours to anyone looking for a professional, warm, and enriching day trip to Stonehenge and Bath. They truly go above and beyond.
I hope Perlynn Tours provide more day trips to other places in the UK as well. I express my heartfelt thank you to Perlynn Tours.

Kingsbury Water Park is a wonderful place to visit and we had such a lovely day out. Even in the winter cold, the walks around the lakes were beautiful and perfect for taking the dog. The scenery is peaceful and well looked after, with plenty of information boards about the local wildlife and the nature of the lakes, which really added to the experience.
We were lucky enough to catch a miniature boat race on the water, which was great fun to watch. The children’s play areas are brilliant, and the little railway is a real highlight – even though we didn’t go on it, it was still very entertaining to watch. The café was welcoming and served the most delicious hot chocolates, just what you need on a chilly day.
Parking is £5 for the whole day, which we thought was excellent value. We’d definitely recommend a visit!

And if you are lucky you might even see RC model boat racing happening at one of the members dedicated place. There is plenty of woodland and water body to explore.
I would recommend for a day out with family

Amazing water park with lots of activities for the family. Finding parking is easy enough and once you’re there you can go on bike rides (also available to hire), go for a walk or jet ski. There’s also a playground area for children, tourist centre and stunning views.
We didn’t want to wait in the queue for an ice cream so went to the cafe instead- where there is a good selection of food and drinks
There was also a bouncy castle and bungee jumping available when we went
Highly recommend a visit- you won’t be disappointed

We had an absolutely wonderful tour of Birmingham with Al. We were fortunate enough to end up with a “private” tour just for the two of us, and that made for a delightfully warm, intimate and extremely fun experience. nice store. It’s fun to look at the products. diversity is quite sufficient. You can find many toys from kitchen utensils to toys, phone accessories to stationery. Some products are quite affordable. For example, I bought a phone holder, the price is very reasonable. The store was not busy. I was able to make my payment quickly at the cashier. This store is located on the upper floor of the train station. A colorful store. I can say that you can easily walk inside

For all the stuff you don’t realise you wanted or needed. Being forced to walk round the entire store in a zig zag is an excellent way to make you end up buying stuff you probably don’t need it’s like an IKEA masterclass.

I only booked a tour of The Backs because I’m a National Trust member and was in Birmingham for the weekend and needed something to fill time. I was amazed at how much I enjoyed the tour, it was fascinating hearing about the history of the site and those that had lived there.
You can only visit the houses on a guided tour, and a full tour takes 90 minutes. Be warned that the stairs in the houses are narrow and steep.
Our guide, Miles, was brilliant and the time flew by way too quickly.
I’d highly recommend this tour and would happily visit again.
The tours do get fully booked, so if you want to do this book in advance.

The hotel offers very clean, comfortable, and well-equipped rooms. Staff members are friendly and always willing to help, especially Rachel, who provided outstanding service throughout the stay. Its location is excellent, close to major attractions and with easy access to public transportation. Breakfast provides a wide variety of fresh and tasty options. Overall, a great choice for both short and long stays, highly recommended.

The rooms are clean and well kept but very basic. That is, the only furniture is a bed. There are no bedside tables, cupboards, drawers etc, nowhere to put your stuff. There were 2 hangers affixed against the wall in my room so I could hang up my coat and a pair of trousers. There was a nook that I couldn’t quite get my phone into with the charger attached. Everything else had to go on the floor. The floor was clean, grey vinyl. No rugs.
I had an excellent shower but my colleagues didn’t fare so well. The staff are pleasant and helpful. The location is central to everything, although a bit seedy. Decent chain restaurants and bars nearby.
They have disabled accessible rooms with equipped bathrooms.
They don’t do food at all so you need to go out for breakfast.
I was only there for a night and I went out with friends so didn’t need to spend time in the room. It was fine, if definitely ‘no frills’. I wouldn’t want a longer stay, though, because it’s just not a place to relax.

This hotel is one which is ok but not cleaned properly. There is always dirt on the sides and corners where the hoovering hasnt been done. There are random hairs in places which I assume the cleaner missed in corners and less visible places or didnt get washed off the sheets properly. there are some stains on the wall. i have been in a 3rd floor and second floor room and the 3rd floor room seems to have a lot more wear and tear than the 2nd floor one. Generally bedsheets seem clean and so do the central floor places and very visible easy to clean places. Its ok for the cost of it when you get a cheaper price. The staff are nice and it is quiet. There is some thumping of music from next door some of the time but you can hardly hear it so it is not so annoying and they have to switch it off at night time so it doesn’t bother you during sleep. there is free boiling water if you want instant noodles or something like that. there is a select and save shop across the road where you can buy everything you might want so you can just put your coat over your nightie if you want to dash there to get some cake or chocolate or food.

Colazione a buffet. Nel complesso una bella struttura.

Kingsbury Waterpark Camping and Caravanning Club offers a convenient location near the waterpark and offers easy access to local attractions. The site appears to cater well to families and those seeking a straightforward camping experience. Pitch availability seems to be a factor, with some areas potentially experiencing more noise than others.
Overall, the site presents a solid option for a camping holiday. It is crucial to consider the type of pitch chosen, as the proximity to roadways or other campers can impact the overall peacefulness of the stay. The staff appear to be generally helpful and dedicated, ensuring a pleasant visit.

Staff … were excellent, very friendly and helpful. ||The site and facilities … need updating. The bathrooms are clean but tired and need updating and some modernisation. The pitches only have electric, no water connection, no grey waste. The size of the pitches were adequate. ||The location … was great for the British Masters at the Belfry. Great walks, the waterpark is there and the canals. Good location for local towns and close to the motorway (you do get some noise). ||Would we stay again…not sure, maybe. The price is equal to other parks with better facilities and full services, which I don’t think|Is fair really.

The staff and facilities are fantastic and clean as you would expect from a camping and caravan site. the only issue is if you are on the grass electric pitches you are.close to the motorway and the noise is like white noise 24/7. My advice would be to get a hard standing pitch behind the main block which is not so noisy.
We went to the black Country museum which was great with motorhome parking with no additional charge. the m6 motorway was a nightmare and congested.

I am extremely disappointed with Kingsbury, which was, unfortunately, the worst campsite experience I have ever encountered.
I have stayed at many campsites over the years and have often been in close proximity to families, most of whom are respectful and do not engage in antisocial behavior. However, this visit was different.
I was allocated a pitch in what appeared to be the most chaotic and noisy part of the campsite, which became increasingly evident as the afternoon and evening progressed. Throughout the evening, children were playing football behind and to the side of my camper, and others were playing cricket on the opposite side. The constant impact of balls hitting my camper and children crawling underneath it to retrieve them made for a very disruptive and uncomfortable experience. As the evening wore on, the adults (parents) even joined in, kicking balls around with cans of beer in their hands. I was eventually forced to move inside and pack away my outdoor table to avoid my food and drink being knocked over. This actually made the situation worse, as they then seemed to think they could use the empty space on my pitch to enlarge their playing area.
I am also disappointed that management disappeared around 6 PM and did not re-emerge to confront and control the chaos.
I will be more careful in accepting my pitch allocation in the future, and I am very hesitant to return due to the apparent lack of policing of basic rules and campsite behavior.

Fantastic caravan park. Great for the kids and very well looked after site. Getting more expensive to stay here. But it is the summer holidays. Clean site facilities. Love coming here. My boys also love it.

Have stayed 3 times and always greeted by efficient and friendly wardens. The whole site and facilities are very tidy and clean. One small issue is the barrier only opening at 7am which meant my husband, who was working starts at 7am had to park his car on the visitor car park. On the first weekend night it was full as it is a small carpark but we watched and waited until later on someone left, so we reparked. During
the week this wasn’t a problem.
We stayed an extra night and this time I managed to walk and explore the water park, which was fabulous. We will be returning.

Camping and Caravaning Club rules apply so we know it’s going to be a well run site. Lots of walking to be had around the water park, (we took bikes).
The only downside is the hum of the motorway and the airport which is about ten miles away.

A lovely campsite, the wardens are friendly and very helpful and keep the campsite and its facilities spotless. Nearest town is Tamworth with the usual shopping outlets. Drayton Manor is just down the road from the campsite and the Water Park is next door. The M42 can be heard from the site but the birds just seem to sing louder. One of my favourite campsites

Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery is truly a gem in the heart of the city. The building itself is stunning, blending history and architecture beautifully. Inside, the galleries are well-curated with a wonderful variety of exhibitions, from classical art to fascinating historical collections. Everything is laid out thoughtfully, making it easy to explore and enjoy at your own pace.
The atmosphere is calm and inspiring, perfect for spending a few hours appreciating culture and history. The staff are welcoming and knowledgeable, always ready to guide or answer questions, which really adds to the overall experience. The museum is also very well maintained, with clean facilities and comfortable spaces to sit and take it all in.
