What an amazing service I received today from the Avis/Budget staff, and a big shout out to 'Mr Nice Guy'!After 17 hours of travelling I needed to book a car last minute and he could not have been more accommodating. After having been out of the UK for 6 months, I really appreciated coming back home to such a warm and friendly welcome and also a bit of the classic British banter!The whole process took minutes and I was driving away in no time. Nothing seemed to be an issue here and to be honest, this level of service would make me return again.Shout out to this branch, as you are leading by example and thank you for taking a genuine interest and care in your customers experience.

My company rented a car for me at Avis.Got tricked in taking a more expensive car. Upon arrival I got told that they have had a Citroen C4 available for me. Not telling me that this would add additional cost. Would only have to pay for navigation (btw which car in this era doesn’t have built in CarPlay functionality, it’s not the 00’s anymore).Car had during the complete duration of the trip various warning messages (which I had to ignore according to the representative ).Car got a flat tire, took me 2.5 hours next to the car (no spare tire in the trunk). Service was friendly but told me that the tire was not in the best shape).Not the best experience, while previous experiences were a lot better. So let’s hope it was a one off experience

Quick easy and accurate. Lovely little run around for the day, brand new Suzuki Swift automatic. Very clean. Normally use enterprise at Birmingham airport as the reviews are better, but I won’t in future

Brilliant friendly staff although they could do with some signs in the airport to help people find where the car rental office is. A big thanks to Irfan for being so helpful. We will definitely use this office again.

If I could give zero stars I would!I booked a car online for the 10th of December, checked the terms and conditions and it stated that if the address on your license doesn't match your current address you need to provide 2 proof of address dated within the last 3 months. I had a call from a lady, from your call centre, the day before to check me in and I then confirmed again that all I needed was the 2 proof of address and DVLA code and all was booked in. I even printed my email confirmation stating the same thing.I get to your Birmingham airport branch to collect the vehicle. Not only did we have to wait outside for 20 minutes in the freezing cold but I had a VERY rude staff member telling me he couldn't find my booking at first and then that I was wrong and they will not release the vehicle to me because the address on my license has to be my current address. I then told him I'm not happy about this I want to talk to a Manager. He said you can wait over there and you going to wait because my Manager is not here. I then went to the other member of staff on duty and said to him please read this booking confirmation. Eventually the Manager came in and I told him the whole story. He eventually said yes you can take the car after shouting at me that I need to change the address on my license. I honestly didn't need this speech because I had checked what I needed and was within my full right.We will NEVER EVER rent from Avis or Budget ever again. I should have checked the Google reviews before I booked as they speak for themselves. I will be sure to tell all our work colleagues and friends and family not to book either.
