A fantastic English tutor that made passing both the English Language GCSE and English literature GCSE completely straightforward. My child was set for level 3 in both of those . We started Spark tuition and simply used our own notes from the lessons for the year leading up to the GCSEs . My child then passed both with a 4 and 5. This was an amazing achievement ! We signed up our son for the 11-plus summer intensive course with Aletheia Academy. The course was very useful and we would highly recommend it. My son sat multiple mock tests per week under exam conditions, after which the papers were reviewed in small groups and any gaps in the learning was addressed by the tutors. The lessons were well planned and there is feedback available to parents via the online portal. The material provided for homework was also challenging and varied. It was money well spent.

My son has been attending Aletheia Academy since Year 3, and now, as a Year 9 student, he’s at the top of his year group. We used this tuition centre for our daughter to prepare for her 11+ exams and had a really positive experience.
We liked the fact that there were small class sizes of 5-6 children which allowed the tutor to focus his attention on each child individually, in particular their strengths and weaknesses, as well as building up a good rapport with ourselves and our child.
One of the main differences we found with A+ Tuition (compared to some larger well known centres) was that the tutor actually took the time to get to know our child from the outset, for example by asking us questions about her SATS results and school reports- we didn’t get this from any of the other centres we enquired at, they only told us the class times and cost.
Thanks to the tutor’s support and guidance our daughter passed the 11+ and secured a place in our preferred grammar school.

Worst centre for communication I have left 3 messages with the lady receptionist seems half asleep and not bothered when speaking to them. On receiving my grades last year I found myself in unfavourable position. I decided to resit at the centre on the proposition that I would be provided the support I lacked in school, I resat all three a-levels in maths, bio, and chem and found myself understanding a lot more than the two previous years of a-level. The teachers are supportive and know the content inside out. Admissions staff also on hand if needed for ucas, personal statement etc. With this help and support from my subject tutors I was able to get an offer from university of Birmingham to study chemical engineering.
