This place deserves 5 stars and nothing less. Helped fix my car key after it had broken. Staff were lovely and welcoming and repaired my key very well. Very happy with my experience here and would definitely recommend C&T locksmiths for anyone looking to repair keys.

When you have a car key remote failure you need a quick but dependable solution – my experience with C & T is that you get both and far more besides. The owner and staff are genuine, honest and very knowledgeable folk, who are very straight forward in there quotes. They are not anyway near as expensive as a main dealer (especially Volkswagen) and they are clear with the fact that they are using aftermarket parts – but you do pay for their knowledge, skill and equipment.
Very pleased with their service as I walked in with a problem and left with a complete solution ; thanks guys.

Brilliant service from start to finish. I needed a replacement padlock key as mine was damaged.

Quoted me £12.50 and did it straight away. Also took card payment, which was good.

It was just a random search on Google yet we are lucky enough to find C&T Locksmiths. I was looking for lock replacements. Mark helped me with the quotation and booking through the phone.
He arrived on time that day. He’s very friendly and efficient throughout the process. And the price is fair, too! I would strongly recommend.

My elderly parents had a power outage in their garage which was only discovered a few days after the event…the two freezers had rotting food with maggots spilling out along with the putrid water. I called Burnham Pest Solutions, and Michael very kindly and patiently explained to me how he would go about addressing the problem. He did not once rush me over the phone, nor pressure me to book his services.

Upon arrival, Michael quickly disposed of all the rotting food and then began to drain the fluids and clean the freezers: he painstakingly hosed down the internal drawers and then thoroughly sanitised, and re-sanitised each shelf and drawer, before repeatedly wiping the interiors. Once finished, he also treated the floor where the rotten meat fluids had leaked.

Unfortunately, about an hour after Michael left, I noticed tiny maggots crawling all over one of the freezers again: they certainly weren’t there when he left…I contacted Michael again and he said he’d return the following week to
reclean both appliances. He also repeatedly said he was perfectly happy for me to ignore the invoice request until after his return.

My father was hospitalised in an emergency, and so I had to reschedule Michael’s return visit. He patiently and very kindly waited for my availability. Upon his return, Michael repeated his thorough cleaning of the appliances. He also made some
suggestions about how I might go about addressing the pungent smell: spray and wipe interior with a lemon-scented disinfectant; place sliced fresh lemons in each tray and drawer; air the freezers; then turn back on. It did the trick! I also used Zoflora to scrub the floor and now my parents’ appliances are ready to be used again!

A huge thank you to Michael, who was not only a thorough professional, but also very friendly and affable. I would have no hesitation in recommending his services.

We suspected rats, but were open to it being other creatures. Michael checked the spaces, and diagnosed the problem as a rats, to commence a planned course of action (he installed a camera too, which later confirmed)
Michael and his team were prompt and kept their appointments, all of the treatments were discussed and agreed so I understood what was going on. I was worried that my dog might be at risk from the treatments, but that was not the case and Michael explained it all to me.

This guy is great he’s friendly punctual and very good at what he does. I contacted him on Thursday he gave me a quote and completed the jobs the very next day. I had a TV wall bracket and a recess blind fitted. All though the blind was tight to fit as I took the wrong measurement, Maj still managed to fit it. I’ve got more jobs that need doing and I’ll definitely be calling him to complete them.

A very professional service. Came out and did a site survey and quoted for the work, explaining exactly what would be done and when. On the day they were prompt and did a thorough job, testing throughout and with no hidden extras. Would have no hesitation recommending them.

Absolutely shocking and disgraceful!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!
We were trying to replace a mirror in the bathroom and disconnected the wires coming from the wall and going to the internal light. After doing this the ceiling lights and extractor stopped working.
I called Mosey at MKUK Electrical to come and fix the problem, rather than try to find the fault on my own.
He arrived and then proceeded to spend an hour telling me that every piece of wiring in my apartment was sub-standard and needed replacing: fuses were incorrect, the circuit breakers were set up wrong, some wires had likely blown and needed to be completely re-done, the cables used for the ceiling lights were incorrect, there was a second ceiling in the bathroom which wasn’t standard (???).
I explained that the building was only 30 years old and I had been here for the last 20 so I knew all the electrics were original but he continued to waste the first HOUR telling me wrong and irrelevant information rather than try to fix the problem I had asked him to look at.
After the first hour (in which he had also done the classic time-wasting tricks of looking through his tool bag for minutes at a time, gone to his car for additional equipment and pretended not to have anything to mark the wires… until I gave him a pencil!) I asked him what his thoughts were. He continued to prattle on about unsafe wiring etc. so I told him in very blunt terms that he wasn’t here for that and I wanted to know why my lights had stopped working. For context, the first hour is charged at £85 and he hadn’t done anything useful at all!
He tried to placate me by saying the second hour was only £45 and he would ‘treat me right because he was a director of his company, not a contractor’ but he could see that I was getting angry so he finally started to look into the actual fault.
After another hour of useless fiddling he told me that my extractor fan was broken and needed to be cut off from the circuit to allow everything else to function. He did this and the lights came back on.
I paid him his £130 and then went on Ebay to order a new fan (£40).
After consulting the internet and doing some research of my own, it now turns out that the old extractor still works (I have got it running again by reconnecting the wires Mosey took out!) and the only thing that was required was to connect the exposed wires which had been running into the old mirror.
See the screenshots attached. If you can spot the minor change from one image to the next then you can see how small the actual fix was!
If Mosey had fixed the issue in 3 seconds (like I suspect he could have) then I would have happily paid him his £85 and given a five star review.
As it is, I cannot help but believe that he is a conman who was only interested in exploiting my lack of knowledge and would have happily re-wired my whole apartment if I had trusted him. Do not trust this greedy man, he will do everything he can to dawdle and prolong his time in your home to get as much money from you as possible. Do not believe his lies and if he starts talking about updating your unsafe wiring, ask him to leave. It’ll save you a lot of money!
In the end, he charged me £130 to tell me my extractor fan was broken… which it isn’t!!
AVOID THIS CONMAN!!

EDIT:
After reading the response from Mose, it is saddening to see that he continues to state that the extractor fan was the issue. It is not and never was. I have reconnected the wires he removed and it works fine again. This has now been verified by another electrician so I have full confidence in saying that MKUK Electrical were never working in my best interest and lied to me about why the fault occurred.
There were exposed wires because we were in the process of replacing a mirror when the lights stopped working. The fuse box was not in an unsafe manner and I do not accept his estimation of my ‘unsafe’ environment. Again, this has been verified since.
Unfortunately, people like this are never able to look inwardly and accept when they have acted selfishly at the expense of others.
AVOID THIS COMPANY!!

Bratts did a very professional job from beginning to end. We needed new gutterings as well as repairs to the ridge tiles, valley and chimneys. At our initial meeting Steve gave us sound advice. Communication was very good throughout with clear estimates and explanations of the work required. We were given photographs before, during and at completion of the work. The work was completed to a high standard with an eye to detail as they sourced matching replacement tiles and reclaimed bricks. Steve’s two roofers were great. They arrived on time every day, worked really hard, were respectful, kept us informed of what they were doing and left the site clean and tidy. We would recommend this company.

Steve and his team were very responsive, open and honest about what our roof did and didn’t need doing, and bent over backwards to accommodate us. They were polite and respectful of our home during their time working here. Good at troubleshooting and finished job to great standard. Would hire again and would recommend.

I thought I had a roof leak affecting an internal ceiling. Steve from Bratt Builders & Roofing Specialists came out promptly to check it out for me when convenient for me and gave me some really useful explanations of the state of my roof and real issue which didn’t actually require external corrective action.

His communication before the visit and on the day were great. It was refreshing to have had some honest advice and great customer service despite not needing to get any work done at the moment, where so many other firms in the industry would have probably tried to mis-sell a service to get work out of vulnerable customers. Washing machine lock broken so went to buy a machine and told him what happened. Could have taken my money £ but said that’s an easy fix so for £30 I fixed my lock and even sent instructional videos how to do it. Service first class and the honesty is refreshing to see. I was in desperate need of getting my vacuum repaired as my daughter suffers from eczema and her routine involves in keeping my house clean on daily basis from dusting to using the vacuum in her bedroom as she wakes up every morning with her skin flaking. Looking for an unusual hose fitting for my tumble drier drain. They didn’t have one but they really had a good look and gave me some great advice on where to look and some epoxy putty which helped me do a temporary repair.

I had a leak in my kitchen with water/damp seeping in. Called a few roofers for a quote. Most were not available to come over immediately. Jake said he can come over the next morning but was upfront about the call out charge of £150. I was hesitant about this since the other roofers said they didn’t have call out charges. Jake was kind enough to suggest I can send photos of the leak and the roof and he might give me an idea of the issue and the approx cost. I sent the photos and within a few hours Jake got back to me with what might be the issue, the price and offered to come and fix the issue the very next day. Jake also waived the call out charge since he was able to identify the issue from the photo.

Jake and his team were punctual and did a great job explaining what the issue was and walked me thru how they planned to fix the issue. Once the job was done they cleaned up the area and were very professional.

5/9/25 – I had Jake and team come over to fix a minor leak in the dormer addition. When Jake inspected the leak he found that the chimney was not capped (even though the previous owners said they did it). Jake was prompt to give me a quote and once again was excellent with communication and did a great job sorting out the issue and capping the chimney.

I will definitely recommend Jake and team to fix any roofing issues.

I called multiple companies, after which I came out across the contact of Power Plus Heating.
I was put through to an engineer straight away, and was reassured over the phone that the problem was manageable and an engineer would be out first thing the next day.
The engineer, Adam, was top class. He was very polite and down to earth, and identified the problem quickly, which was a faulty diverter valve.
The problem was solved swiftly and I have not had any further issues.
I was so impressed, I decided to use them again for a radiator change and my annual boiler service rather than the usual so-called big companies I have used before.
I am so happy I came across this company in an emergency, I will never be using anyone else again.

From the get go Sab was polite, clear and thorough and well communicative in his approach. Including breaking down all options in as detailed way as possible. He came to quote to repair something in our old boiler (new home) that had previously been repaired only a week before by someone else where major issues were missed. Sab gave us a breakdown of fixing the boiler or the option for replacement and full service which he explained in the long run (in writing) that this would be more cost effective and less risky than fixing the problem with a new part in our old boiler which could fail in short time. As a result, we decided to have our boiler replaced and drain the system/split the flush and restore and service the radiators in our home. He showed passion in what he does, and also like I say he was very meticulous. I am a tradesperson myself, so these qualities on the flipside are invaluable to me as a customer.
The works were undertaken with care and efficiency, Sab came on multiple visits, working around our schedule, once with his apprentice and another time and also then finally with his electrician Naz for the install. Power Plus Heating did a great job for us. They fitted a quality boiler within a day, came back to flush our heating system and ensured all our radiators were piping hot. They also gave us maintenance advice, made sure we knew how to bleed the heaters correctly and keep the correct settings on the boiler. Absolutely amazing service! I was locked out of my property, called at 6:30pm and I was in within the hour! Val was so friendly, knowledgeable and upfront about work and prices. He explained the issue once solved and even offered to remove the faulty lock.

Contacted Val Regarding needing new locks on our front door and back door. Brilliant communication throughout. Arranged a time Val turned up inspected the locks that needed changing and explained any additional work he needed to do. Unfortunately the front door lock was an old style so he had to do a bit extra work but end finish was brilliant. Faultless quick and efficient service would highly recommend.
