Bratts did a very professional job from beginning to end. We needed new gutterings as well as repairs to the ridge tiles, valley and chimneys. At our initial meeting Steve gave us sound advice. Communication was very good throughout with clear estimates and explanations of the work required. We were given photographs before, during and at completion of the work. The work was completed to a high standard with an eye to detail as they sourced matching replacement tiles and reclaimed bricks. Steve’s two roofers were great. They arrived on time every day, worked really hard, were respectful, kept us informed of what they were doing and left the site clean and tidy. We would recommend this company.

Steve and his team were very responsive, open and honest about what our roof did and didn’t need doing, and bent over backwards to accommodate us. I thought I had a roof leak affecting an internal ceiling. Steve from Bratt Builders & Roofing Specialists came out promptly to check it out for me when convenient for me and gave me some really useful explanations of the state of my roof and real issue which didn’t actually require external corrective action.

His communication before the visit and on the day were great. It was refreshing to have had some honest advice and great customer service despite not needing to get any work done at the moment, where so many other firms in the industry would have probably tried to mis-sell a service to get work out of vulnerable customers. Michael and his team did a fabulous job renovating our kitchen and dining area creating a large kitchen diner, including new french door, veluxes, replacement windows and internal doors plus new boiler and radiator with all the electrical, plumbing, plastering and decorating work completed to an extremely high standard. Michael and his team are hugely skilled, friendly, helpful, reliable, punctual, and hard working. We highly recommend and would use again.

Michael and his team built a kitchen extension in our terraced house about a year ago, and we’re still in disbelief at how much of a transformation it’s been! We had a flat roof single storey rear extension and an under stairs pantry was converted into a WC.

Everyone in the team was polite, considerate, and knowledgeable during the build and were happy to answer any questions we had. It made a huge difference having people you trust and get on with working on the build each day!

Michael and the team were fantastic when they built our kitchen extension last summer. Great communication, very tidy, patient with our kids and us asking lots of questions. Mick was thoughtful with the materials selected and asked for our approval with key items. Lots of people comment on our lovely back doors. We’re delighted with the quality of the final result.

We had a pretty big job done on our house in December: chimney removal across three floors, new loft insulation, upgraded windows, plus a whole load of electrical work (extract fans, new lighting, the works). On top of that, every spot where the chimney came out—and most of our downstairs and upstairs ceilings—got replastered. The team showed up every Monday to Friday, worked right up until December 23rd, then came back on January 6th without missing a beat. We really appreciated them sticking to such a tight schedule and getting it all done so quickly.

They were also great about handling the building regulations for us—sorted out the certificates and everything, which was a huge help. Michael, who led the team, even kept his scaffolding up longer so our separate solar panel company could use it, saving us some money in the process. Whenever we decided to add extra work, Michael was super clear on the costs and never pushy about it, which was really refreshing.

And a special shout-out goes to Scott, the absolute legend who worked like a machine day in and day out. He really went above and beyond to make sure everything turned out perfectly. We’re over the moon with how it all looks now, and we couldn’t have asked for a friendlier or more dedicated team.

Mick and his team did an excellent job on my kitchen refurbishment. It was a major piece of work – stripping the whole room, bricking up an external door, removing gas pipes, rewiring, plumbing, installing new internal doors/cupboards/appliances, decorating. Mick co-ordinated everything, firstly finding a designer and then arranging for plasterer, plumber, electrician, carpenter to be there on the required day so I didn’t have to worry about anything. The work was done to the highest standard, completed on schedule and within budget.

Michael Laffoley Ltd have just carried out a major renovation of our Victorian living rooms, much needed after 25 years of family life. Our experience from end to end with Jake and the JMCC build team has been nothing short of incredible. You hear horror stories in the building world, but our experience couldn’t be further from that.
We’re approaching the end of our project and we couldn’t be more grateful for the work they’ve done. They’ve provided expert guidance and recommendations throughout which has led to the renovation exceeding all of our expectations. The early arrival of our baby girl meant we were concerned about the state of the house being a building site around a premature newborn baby but Jake and the team made sure the site was always left clean and tidy and they were always so considerate whilst working.

Jake, Craig and the team are fantastic. JMccBuild built a one story extension with utility, kitchen, WC, underfloor heart of and bifolds that run across the back of our house. We needed numerous steels, A LOT of digging, plumbing, paving work and electrics. They know everything there is to know about building, extensions and drainage. They worked tirelessly to get our extension done before Xmas with no hidden costs. They came in on Saturdays (at my request) to get the job done.
In the past we have been taken for a bit of a ride where building or garden work is concerned. I knew I could trust JMccBuild and I wasn’t wrong.
Their waiting lists are long so you have to book in early – which to me is only a good sign.
They were really knowledgeable about everything i wanted and were able to advise when I needed it. They even suggested something that our architect hadn’t thought about and I’m so glad I made the structural change.

We had J McC Build do lots of smaller jobs on our old 1913 property including some interior alterations and repair, instillation of recessed meter box, chimney cowl instillation, chimney repointing and relaying of ridge tiles. We couldn’t be more happy with the quality of their workmanship. They always attended when they said they would and never turned up late.

We had J McC Build do 3 jobs on our house.
They dug up the kitchen floor, laid a membrane, insulated and concreted.
Second they removed bricks from above two windows, fitted steel lintels and relayed the bricks.
Third they re-felted the flat roof using a three felt system.
All work was carried out in a professional manner with minimum fuss and disruption. Jake and Mike were very pleasant and easy to get on with so would have no hesitation in reccomending to anyone looking for a trustworthy builder.

Have been massively impressed with Jake and Michael this week. We needed some building work doing quickly and was fortunate enough that Jake could accommodate at short notice. From start to finish we have been impressed with their professionalism, work ethic and high standards. Even small details such as covering the floor in other rooms with plastic sheeting, removing shoes when going upstairs, placing material at doors to avoid dust getting out as badly… and the final finish of work is more than we could have hoped for. Friends of mine have also used Jake and everyone speaks very highly of him and his team.

I instructed Midland Residential to find tenants for my properties. They found tenants for my three properties within a week of meeting them. Outstanding information provided from start to finish. I initially contacted Probuild with high hopes and the full intention of using them. I even told them up front that they were our first choice. It took me a few chasers to get them to look at my extension plans but nothing too terrible. They gave me a range quote and said they would give the full quote once we had our structural drawings/calculations in place. We provided those on 7th August but had no reply. Chased it up on 13th August and were told we would have the final quote week of 18th August. The week came and went with no contact so I chased again on 27th August and 1st September with no response either time. As a final attempt, I called on 12th September and was told that the director would look at the plans over the weekend and 100% get me a quote on Monday. Guess what…when I called on Monday I was told he hadn’t even looked at my email until that day. Now I’ve been told I’d need to wait another week, despite them dropping the ball for over a month so far. The director, Bahram, has completely dodged giving any apology for the service. We’ve gone elsewhere. Given how they behave before they have your business, I dread to think how it would be once you were stuck with them! Perhaps spending more time responding to emails/calls and less time writing long and aggressive replies to reviews would result in fewer poor reviews.

Edit: As expected, the director Bahram has responded to my review on Trustpilot (a copy/paste of this review) to call me a liar and to say I was never told I would have a quote by a particular time. Unfortunately for him I have the receipts. I have now uploaded screenshots of the emails I’ve described here. To be clear, I approached him directly with all of these dates and info and he took no accountability. Had he actually apologized for the poor service I would not have left a review. Him doubling down and calling me a liar shows exactly what kind of man he is.

Pro build 360… The most appropriate company name I’ve come across in quite a while. We used this team of professionals to partially renovate and extend our tired old 1930’s semi. Having a need to get the job done quickly and efficiently and having poor knowledge of the industry as a whole, we decided to go with what we hoped was a safe pair of hands to take the project from start to finish. From the first meeting with Bahram though to the architect, office manager and various department heads, all the guys and girls were warm, personable and great communicators. This professional team made the experience easy for us, they completed on time and to a high standard. They were also considerate to neighbours and very tidy!! Obviously this level of service comes at a premium but you really do get what you pay for. Special mentions for Matt Harris – top man, down to earth and didn’t mind all our stupid questions! (There were many), Alexandrea Major – nailed our Kitchen design with minimum of fuss and Callum the head chippy. We also feel it’s worth noting that despite our project been very small by pro build standards, we were never made to feel like our project was any less important. There must be a consistency of high service delivery standards ingrained in this company. Thanks to all at PB 360.

We moved into our home eight years ago with the plan to extend and remodel, but life got in the way after having a child. We always knew we wanted to make the house work better for our family, but couldn’t find anything on the market that suited us. So, we decided to make our home work for us.

Our main goal was to create more space downstairs, with a larger kitchen and an open-plan living area. We also wanted space for work and leisure, including a dedicated area for our daughter’s music practice.

What we appreciated most was the teamwork between all the specialists—externals, interiors, and electrics. Everyone was on the same page, which made the project smooth and fluid. We could talk to one person about interiors, and they would know exactly what was going on with the electrics and externals. This collaboration made everything easier and more efficient.

The end result has completely exceeded our expectations. The light the space brings in, and how it connects the outside with the inside, has really given us a new way to live.

Our neighbours were also very complimentary about the team. They were impressed by how tidy, polite, and professional the builders were.

Had TA Smith Builders over today, and I couldn’t be more impressed. From start to finish, their professionalism and attention to detail were outstanding.

They installed a lintel above the door and a baton in the kitchen window, and the workmanship was top-notch. Armstrong Build have worked with me over the past 2 years on a complete renovation and extension of my Victorian house in Moseley. It has been an absolute pleasure working with them and I would never choose a different contractor. Don’t know about their builds but did see a crew in a company branded small white van dump their rubbish out of the van in the Great Stone Inn car park… Bunch of carlin cans and rubbish. Well done lads

We wanted our bungalow upgraded and couldn’t have been happier with the result. Over the last two years we started with a new bathroom and had a big problem with rotting floors and joists. But they soon proved how good the people are he employs. Keep you posted all the time as to how to resolve these issues. Fully explain what needs to be done and how they will put it right. There turned out to be lots of extra work and they did a great job. We were so pleased with the final bathroom.Just exactly what we wanted and the tiling, etc was such a professional finish. We had a problem with other rooms with rotten floors and we had all of them done. We had new doors in the hall, skirting boards, architrave and what a fabulous job they did with old walls it certainly wasn’t straight forward. But the quality of finish and attention to detail was first class.
Last year we had a new kitchen. We wanted to know if we should turn our large dining room into the kitchen and the old kitchen into a dining room. We were advised on what needed to be done. It was alot of work. Taking out the chimney breast, putting in an RSJ and many other jobs. The finish was just fabulous. Exactly what we wanted and quided us all the way.
It doesn’t matter what you want doing it will be carried out with first class contractors. We have come across many different trades with all the different works we had done but they were always, on time, professional, helpful, nothing too much trouble and top quality workmanship throughout.

Difficult nowadays to find a honest company that listens and cares about their customers needs, however I was pleasantly surprised by these guys. They were friendly, supportive and efficient throughout the whole process start to finish. After speaking to Katie several times over the phone I knew I was in good hands, nothing was too much trouble and she was so friendly and reassuring. This really was a 5 star service!

By far and away the best builders we’ve ever used. Phil, Katie and the team are professional, friendly and responsive. Despite our build being relatively small in comparison to some of their projects, they’ve given us all of the time, attention and support we’ve needed.

From the first day, when they put floor covers went down, to the moments when the inevitable unforseen problems occurred, we genuinely felt like they cared about us and our home, going above and beyond to give us a build better than we had expected.

Asked for a quote, spent 20 minutes on the phone, said they would get back to me with a quote but never did. Absolute waste of time, never ask them for a quote as you won’t get one, unless you continously chase them. Perhaps that is their tactic, see how desperate you are so they can rip you off and overcharge you.

Lani did a fantastic job. He is responsive, reliable, takes pride in his work, neat and tidy and took time to do a good job. I don’t think I could have found a more suitable person for the job. Super pleased with the work done.

I had my flat renovated in Birmingham by Mountainview, mostly whilst I was living and working away during the week. I was really impressed with the quality of work, punctuality and communication by Mountainview. My project manager was Sonny, who was very professional and made the process easy for me. I had the option of choosing my material but also had good deals on some high quality material from the company’s stock. Sonny’s advice was honest and genuine throughout, and any miscommunication or problems were resolved quickly. I felt reassured that he himself is confident enough in the works to guarantee them for after I move in. I would recommend them if you need a company with a project manager to plan and oversee your renovation

Had the Mountainview Team, come in and do lighting, repaint, and a little carpentry. The team was efficient on time, and delivery was as expected. However booking them in was slightly timely, wouldn’t have any issues recommending.

From the initial consultation to the final touches, Mountainview demonstrated professionalism and expertise every step of the way. I couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome of my renovation and rear extension. Although my architect (as I came to realise) made some mistakes, the team took complete ownership and amended the drawings and took of building control, and engineering.

They also put me in touch with their kitchen suppliers allowing me access to trade discounts. Nice team, good experience.

We used Mountainview Construction for preparing our site for a residential development consisting of a terrace of townhouses. The MV team worked great liaising between consultants, architects & engineers for us.
