Amazing experience at PHIT. I’m not a gym person, but was recommended to me by a friend who has experienced amazing results. This is no traditional gym. I’ve just completed an 8 week program at Shapeshifters and I cannot shout loudly enough about the impact it’s had on my life. I went there to learn how to work out and got a whole lot more than that. The nutrition and lifestyle advice was easy to understand and follow and within a week I started to have more energy and feel happier. Haider knew exactly how to guide, motivate and push me in the training and Adele was always on hand to advise and guide me with my nutrition.
I’ve been so surprised at the results I’ve achieved in such a short space of time.

I joined so that I could get in shape for my wedding, but I also wanted to generally feel healthier. I lost weight and gained muscle really easily over the 3 months, the diet plan is so simple and easy to follow, I never felt hungry or like I was depriving myself. Adele also adapted everything to be vegan for me including suggesting the best supplements to buy. Haider was so kind and motivating during the training sessions, he always pushed me to my limit but never too far, and was accommodating if I wasn’t feeling good.
The best thing though which I didn’t expect, was how much my mental health has improved! My brain fog has gone and I feel like I can actually function properly now. I did all my wedding planning myself and I never would have been able to do it without Adele and Haider’s help. Thank you so much guys, you have no idea how much of a difference you’ve made!

I managed to lose 6kg and 9% body fat in 2 and a half month’s in the most healthiest way which I did not think was possible! As an avid cross fitter, suffering with PCOS and south Asian female I was doubting my health choices and unsure how I could not budge the weight. After working with Adele and Junior, they transformed my idea of nutrition and also my form when working out. So like many being bored during lockdown caused me to pile on the pounds and I was worried about my general health, so I made 2 decisions, first was to get healthy again and the second was to choose a gym that was going to help me achieve my results. Shapeshifers are based in Birmingham and I live in Coventry, but I was working in London so I had to make on most occasions a 2 hour commute from London Euston to Selly Oak.
My advice is if you are committed to your goals then Adele, Gary, Matt and the team will help you achieve your results. I’m 47 and arguably I’m healthier and fitter than when I was in my 20’s.. So if you’re thinking about joining then go for it, and in 3 months time you can have your friends and family praising how good you look.

I have been going to DH Training Club for almost three months now. I have started with the 6 weeks challenge, which helped me build my confidence and strength. I am now a member and go three times a week, and it feels great every time. It’s a fantastic place to invest in your health, especially if you haven’t been to a gym before, but not only. It’s been a few years since I’ve properly been weight training in a gym and I’ve loved getting back into it. I’m at the end of my 6 weeks beginner course, which I compressed into 5 weeks due to an upcoming holiday. This means going from nothing to 3/4 times a week and I look forward to every session.
I feel so lucky to have DH training on my doorstep. I started it with the intention of building a stronger core to help with medical issues. In 5 weeks, these issues have reduced. This means my goal has been achieved! The emotional weight this carries is immense. I knew exercise would help but really don’t get on with the mainstream gyms so was relying on strict diet alone. Now, combined with Dean’s training, I am supported, pushed within my limits, feel safe, find all the people there just lovely and am getting stronger mentally and physically.

I have been training with Chris for almost a year and I must say he is knowledgeable in his field and keen to make a change. I have been overweight for a very long time and didn’t think it would be possible for me to ever loose a pound because of my habits and stubbornness. Within the first few weeks of training I could see a significant improvement in my weightloss. Chris made me changed the way I think about food which is the main thing to think about when loosing weight.
Chris tailor made a plan for me to follow – which allowed me to still be able to have my favourite foods and see results.
Apart from being an exceptional personal trainer, Chris also put with up my constant moaning in the gym, he was my personal counsellor and therapist – great at listening to peoples problems and giving advice!

Amazing trainer, listens to everything you say. Maximises potential and always gives 110%. I started feeling great results within 2-3 sessions, I felt stronger and healthier.

Okay gym, quite small in size and limited use. Segregated women’s section with newer and better equipment. Don’t see why this can’t be opened for the whole gym as there’s still 80% of women using the general equipment so I don’t know what difference it makes in having that section open for all of us. First time I have visited since the revamp. The place was busier which meant waiting longer for certain equipment. Went on three treadmills before finding a working one. The screens with music videos have gone. Went with my partner who told me the large women’s section was more or less empty. This free-form exercise area seems wasted, and I do not see the point of a separate women’s section. Seems like a sexiest policy. We are looking for an alternative gym.

The gym has most of the machines you need and generally does the job. However, it gets too crowded at times, and cleanliness could be better. Also, the current timings (6 am to 10 pm) are restrictive — it would be great if it were open 24/7.

Joined this gym relatively recently. Met a PT called Sam Downs and to be honest, if he hadn’t given me some good advice I probably wouldn’t have persisted. He’s a real credit to the gym.
I find the place clean and well organised. Particularly like the app so you can see when the quiet or busy periods.

This is a very good gym nationwide, however, if you need to cancel your inscription for any circumstances, they don’t refund you, even if you cancel after few hours, they prefer to keep you there for a month, instead of a refund. Terrible.

The Gym was refurbished recently and some machines are now very close to each other. Also in the treadmill area the music is so loud it is like being in a nightclub. This also makes it difficult to use earbuds as you can still hear the other music.

I’ve been training with Jon since September 2021 and in terms of fitness/training, it’s the best thing I’ve done. I had been training at home since the pandemic and needed a new level of training and as a huge boxing fan, I’ve always wanted to try boxing but the preference was for 1 to 1 sessions so I found JJ Fitness via a Google search.
Jon taught me the basics, then moved onto pad work and before I knew it, he had me sparring with his other clients, all of whom are great lads. Jon got me sparring because he knew I was ready and that gave me the confidence to spar with others regularly, I’ve even sparred him and can say first hand how much of a good boxer he is himself.
Jon gives tips on diet, protein, muscle recovery and is an overall great guy. I am able to talk to him during sessions to get feedback on where I need to improve, he’s recorded a few pad work sessions and a sparring session so I can visually see how I’m performing.
On top of all of the above, he is reasonably priced and I haven’t regretted spending a penny. Highly recommended for all levels, I had never put on a pair gloves before training with Jon and feel like I’ve learnt a lot and can learn a lot more from him.

From my initial consultation meeting with Steve, he really listened to my goal’s and what i wanted achieve from personal training with him.
I can honestly say he is a thoughtful, intuitive and challenging trainer who makes every session worth it. He is also brilliant at keeping you on your toes, mixing it up and pushes you outside your comfort zone.

I never enjoyed weights before but as I was approaching 50 I felt the need to bring it into my fitness routine which had previously been cardio and yoga. Chris has been great and completely understood my goals and boundaries and has worked with me to find what works for me.
