Very disappointed with Harper James solicitors. I would not recommend this firm to anyone unfortunately. Very slow to respond to correspondence and do not answer all questions raised in correspondence when they do eventually return emails. This then results in more time and expense having to try and correspond with them again on the same subject matter. I was given poor and inadequate advice by them so I terminated their services. I have since found a better firm of solicitors that have successfully resolved all of my issues. Were quick to respond to all correspondence and saved me thousands of pounds. Best to avoid Harper James and find a better and more efficient firm of solicitors.

I was halfway through dealing with a legal matter with Freddie Fergusson. I still haven’t received a response nine days later, and this is before I started agreeing to pay for the 20 hours quoted, which increased from 15 hours to 20 hours in the space of two emails. Rather than providing quality legal advice and support, they seem to be charging exorbitant rates for time that’s not needed. Luckily, my business advisor and accountant advised me that I was being ripped off, and the hours quoted for my needed services had been inflated. I’m glad I found out before pursuing and signing any paperwork, as they took so long to respond to an email; I don’t feel it would’ve been a well-worth investment. The initial call I received from them was nothing but sales talk and gauging my legal knowledge before quoting me the price of 15 hours at £4,350 + VAT for two simple contracts, which then increased to £5,800+ VAT for the 20 hours. I had the contracts drawn up in 3 hours with another firm.

My lawyer took 300 pounds from me and she doesn't reply to me. Can I contact someone who knows how to get my money back instead of reporting it to the police?
