The Cat's Whiskers

Have used this Cattery about 4 times for both of our cats, when our usual Cattery is either closed for the Winter season or full. Although it is almost double the price of my usual Cattery I have always found the staff friendly and welcoming. The location for us is convenient and a similar distance from our usual Cattery. Plenty of cat pens and staff have always taken us to their pen to help settle the cats in and to welcome them on collection. The staff have been helpful in providing a blanket curtain to give our rescue cats a little privacy as they can be nervous with unfamiliar people. After phoning to explain the situation they have also given medication to one of our cats that was coming to the end of their prescription. They have also washed any bedding if the cats have had a mishap on the journey. Cats are weighed in carriers on arrival and vaccination records are checked along with Flea/Worm dates. Having a vets attached is useful if your own vets is unavailable. Would be happy to recommend to other cat owners.

A fantastic cattery! My cat had a lovely stay and was looked after amazingly! The staff are so friendly and kind! This was my first time having my cat at a cattery and the staff made me feel so safe and reassured me he would be in good hands! Couldn’t ask for more, will definetly be coming back!

Caring, knowledgeable and wonderful people run the cattery. They care for your cats as if they are their own. We’ve had our 2 cats stay here four times already and it’s been wonderful every time. Every intake is done in detail to ensure they have all the information about your pets.

Highly recommend Cats Whiskers, we have left our cats with them each year for 10 years and sometimes more than once a year. Our cats are well looked after, fed and watered. It's like a second home to them now, very clean and if necessary an onsite vet is available. We wouldn't go anywhere else.

We have always used The Cat’s Whiskers for all of our cats since we had them in 2010. ALL of the staff have thoroughly cared for and got to know "Miss Grumpychops" and co. Kim who heads up the team at present is super; really professional but also very caring. We are super twitchy when it comes to the care of our little family. If ever we got the tiniest whiff of not caring, or lack of knowledge we would whip them out quicksmart. As it is, we have come to see the Team there as part of our extended care system for our cats. They know and understand us. But, more importantly, they really know cats. It also helps, I think, that Orchard Vets are on-site for any medical issues. I have to declare bias here as our cats are linked. But by being a pet for life (a type of in-house insurance scheme - but far better), we receive substantial discounts on boarding. If you are in any way concerned about present boarding, or are new to boarding your cat(s), I can thoroughly recommend Kim and Team to you, your cats will be safe, secure, well fed, fussed (EVEN Miss Grumpychops which to us is massive! That cat doesn’t like anyone except us!! Well done Kim!!). They may not be the cheapest, I’ve heard of lower rates elsewhere, but what price is your peace of mind? My cat stayed here last week and dispite it being so busy she was so cared for. When I picked her up her pen was spotless and she seemed very content, overall a lovely experience and would definitely use the cats whiskers again.

Great experience with this Cattery, I have left 2 of my beautiful British blue shorthair cats twice and they have always been well looked after. Being a cat mom I know it’s hard to leave them but they are definitely in good hands.
