The Kosseted Kat

I swear by this cattery! I am a very nervous cat owner and I am very reluctant to leave her anywhere. Before we even booked in, Penny was happy to show me around the facilities and give me tonnes of reassuring details about them and how they care for the cats. Penny also helped me with Arty’s vaccine record and making sure she was all up to date before her stay. You can tell she’s really knowledgeable about cats which is so reassuring. We boarded Arty for one night to see how she got on - she had a wonderful time and we had no issues with settling. She’s a Greek rescue so the outside space she has access to is great for her. We then boarded her again for two weeks and I literally couldn’t fault them, even when Arty was a bit nervous to come out of her travel box she was met with love and patience. I was given updates when I asked for them and knew my cat was in safe hands, I think I enjoyed my holiday more because I didn’t have to worry about her and I knew I could check in whenever. We suspect that Arty was disappointed to be leaving as she complained the whole way home! The thing I love the most about this cattery is that there is no nonsense - all the information is clear and Penny is happy to answer any questions you have. I don’t think I’d trust anyone else with Arty now!

So my cat Theodore got suddenly ill a week before he was meant to be staying here, so I spoke to them and they said they would still keep him. Whilst Theodore was with them he didn’t just get the care we paid for, he got so much more. They took pictures and videos of him and almost provided me with a Vets service and gave advice and guidance on how to deal with his condition. Although he will need an operation I have decided to change his Vets and I have decided to keep him off strong medication. I cannot recommend this cattery enough. I will never be able to pay them back for the excellent care they have provided. When I offered extra money for all the extra hard work they refused, demonstrating they are not in it for money. I rate them 10 star.

I had to book Mochi, my Ragdoll, in at the very last minute as I was going away on holiday. A lot of people offered to look after her but got nervous when they heard she can be a bit of a sassy girl at times. She may look sweet and fluffy but she definitely has her moments. I was really impressed at how well she settled here. Normally at the vets she doesn’t behave her best, but Penny was so professional and calm with her. It’s clear she has a lot of experience and knows how to handle different cats. Another big reason I chose this cattery is because Penny is so quick with communication. She was easy to reach, answered all my questions, and even sent me a few pictures of Mochi when I asked which was really reassuring while I was away. I also really value that this cattery is family run and has been established for a long time. There’s a personal touch and genuine care here that made me feel completely at ease knowing Mochi was in safe hands. One tip I’d share is that this cattery does get booked up quite far in advance, so I’m very grateful Penny had space to take Mochi in last minute. Next time I’ll definitely book earlier. In the end, Mochi had such a good time that she didn’t even want to come home. I’m very thankful and wouldn’t hesitate to bring her back again.

I wouldn’t leave my cats anywhere else. Penny and her mom go above and beyond with their care . The pens are kept extremely clean and have access to enclosed outdoor space as well as an indoor area.. Archie & Bettie take their own bedding and their favourite toys! They come back healthy and well. Penny will always try her very best to accommodate my two! We all look forward to seeing you again Penny!

Penny and her mother were amazing with looking after my cat Theodore whilst we were away for a week. Theo has been really unwell and even though they are not medically trained they still know what is best for my cat whilst he’s been unwell. I couldn’t thank them enough, they both are so good at what they do so if you are looking for a clean, welcoming cattery this is definitely the place to go to.

We’ve been using Kosseted Kat for the last couple of years after the local cattery we’d been using closed down. Our Tabby, Lola, is a rescue and not only is she nervous but also came to us with a few health issues, so finding a new cattery where she’d be relaxed and happy was a concern. We shouldn’t have worried, as Lola has always been very happy in her lodgings. She’s now stayed at Kosseted Kat multiple times, at different times of the year, with her health and diet needs always being met. I’d highly recommend Kosseted Kat to anyone looking for a cattery.

We have been using the Kosseted Kat cattery for some time, without any issues. When we first needed to place our cat in a cattery we were rather nervous, but the staff at Kosseted Kat were very friendly and welcoming; answering any queries we had, alleviating any fears we had about placing our cat with them. We could easily see that they love cats! We’re happy with their facilities and location. When we request photos, or the odd video, to enquire how our cat is doing, they oblige us without question. This strengthens our confidence we have in them. Our cat, now 14, comes home and settles straight away; indicative of a stress-free environment at the cattery! I would happily recommend the Kosseted Kat to anyone.
