Shrimp & Co Birmingham

Shrimp & Co in Birmingham Five Ways is honestly one of my favourite places to eat. The shrimp is always so juicy, full of flavour, and cooked just right. Every dish feels loaded with taste and it never gets boring. Their Tuesday and Thursday deals are amazing too—great value for money and a perfect excuse to keep going back. I’ve probably been here more times than I can count, and I’ve started bringing different friends and family along each time. Without fail, everyone I take loves it just as much as I do. The vibe is fun, the food comes out tasting fresh every time, and it’s one of those places you just know you’ll enjoy whenever you go. Definitely a top spot in Birmingham for me!

The food was fantastic! I was with a party of five, three of whom ordered the first dish shown in the images, while my mum and I opted for the seafood boil for one, which is represented in the second and third images. As you can see, the portion sizes are generous, so we ended up sharing. We also tried the spicy mac and cheese, but we all agreed that we would have preferred to try the original version for comparison. The drinks were refreshing and complemented the food well, although there were no alcoholic beverages available. I would recommend reviewing the menu beforehand or taking your time with it, as there’s a lot to choose from. Unfortunately, there was a bit of a language barrier with our waiter, which made it difficult for him to guide us. His table manners could have used some improvement, and he left before we finished our meal, so we were left without assistance. While I understand that his shift ended, he could have informed us and assigned another server to help. Fortunately, his colleague, a young lady, stepped in and was pleasant and accommodating. There is parking available nearby, but the reviews about it made me feel uneasy, so I chose to take an Uber, and that turned out to be a great decision.

I recently visited Shrimp & Co and had a lovely experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a casual meal with friends or family. I ordered the shrimp tacos and was pleasantly surprised by how fresh and flavorful they were—the seasoning was spot on, and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. The side of fries was crispy and seasoned just right. The service stood out as well—our server was friendly, attentive, and made great recommendations. Even though the restaurant was busy, we didn’t feel rushed at all. Everything came out in good time and was presented beautifully. Overall, Shrimp & Co exceeded my expectations. It’s a great spot if you’re looking for quality seafood with a relaxed vibe. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

Everything is great. The fried cod is very smooth. The shrimp and mussels are very delicious, and the mussel sauce is especially unique. It was a bit oily, so it would have been nice to enjoy it with a beer, but unfortunately it wasn’t on the menu.

Oh my gosh! Shrimp & Co! If you've not been, go! The portion sizes are out of this world! The calamari and chicken wings *chef's kiss* The prawns were not as seasoned and as spicy as I usually like, but ok nevertheless. Not sure I'd choose those again. I like the idea that no alcohol is served there, so no rowdy behaviour when you're there with small children. Mocktails are delicious. Only bugbear, staff bringing mains out when there was no room on the table and we were halfway through starters. Having said that, will definitely be back to try other dishes!

Although we went there near closing time, staff were accommodating . Food was really good , especially liked solo sailor platter. They also provided us with gloves which made it easier. Will definitely visit again.

10 10. First time coming here and I can say was not disappointed. From the warm welcome as you enter the restaurant to the smiles the staff give in general when attending to other customers. The food was amazing, I ordered wayyyyy too much lol but was given a box to take food home. Needless to say I'll be returning in the near future. Thank you Shrimp & Co staff for a pleasant evening. Xx
