First time trying Ethiopian food . The ambience was awsome , felt that uniqueness within the restaurant. Service by the staffs were also very good. Regarding the culinary experience, Injera( the spongy bread) was definitely an acquired taste , bit too sour/tangy for my palate. All the side dishes were okay , some where good ,some not that great especially the middle gravy chicken . Appreciate the authentic recipes. If you are a fan of Ethiopian food ,you would enjoy the experience .

Lovely food and very warm service. Felt like I was stepping out of Birmingham straight into Ethiopian culture. Really interesting to learn about Ethiopian food and we all (including our 12 and 13 year old children) thoroughly enjoyed the food. The coffee which was roasted on site was amazing !

A brilliant authentic African restaurant! It looks a bit run down from outside as does much of the surrounding area, but once you are inside you feel like you could be in Africa itself. The staff are really friendly and made us feel very welcome. The sharing platter for two was delicious and a very good way of trying 10 different dishes. We would definitely visit again. The only bad thing I can say was there were very few people in there for a Friday night which is a great shame as it deserves to be very busy.

Myself a Malaysian Chinese experienced a marvellous dining moment arranged by one of my Ethiopian friends. Travelled from Hatfield to Blue Nile, made our trip with a great end. The platter was truly finger licking good yummy, full of different flavours mixing one another really a pleasure mouth satisfaction. Undoubtedly, the food was tip top so the services and atmosphere!!! After the platter was served, four of us finished the meal like in 15 mins, the ingredients and the meats were so so fresh and tenderness of the meat left me indulging. We ate most of the meal with hand for traditional cultures. Not only that, I ordered myself a deep fried whole tilapia fish. The crispiness was amazing, I literally finished the fish left just a bone as everything was edible including the fish head as well.

Back here again after a long time and it is just as good as I remember it. The boss here knows me well and all the women I’ve brought here in the past, haha. The lamb is so good, it melts in your mouth, such tender meat. Too bad I don’t live close anymore, otherwise I would’ve been here almost daily. Prices are also very budget friendly. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to widen their flavour palette. 6 stars out of 5!! The ambience is incredible, authentic and makes you feel like you’re not in Birmingham. The coffee here is also a must try, it comes straight from the sacred lands of Ethiopia.
