Went to Livingstone House for 8 weeks in November 2023. The detoxification from alcohol process was second to none and I was comfortable. The treatment I received was excellent with staff being on point with their approach. Group therapy was particularly good and relevant. I am now almost 6 months clean and sober thanks largely to the foundation I received at Livingstone House.
I spent 7 days on an alcohol detox here. The staff, who have all passed through Livingstone House, were caring and considerate and encourage peer-led recovery. The days are structured with many meetings in which you can share with fellow sufferers and learn from them. I was piviliged to hear deeply emotional shares in a supportive and brotherly environment. I leant so much here. The food was fantastic and plenty of it!! Highly recommended.
Livingston house may well have saved my life. Its a wonderful place. I felt safe, unjudged, welcome and above all respected. There are rules to be abided by and they are strict and for bloody good reason! Every single member of staff there is a hero in my eyes. I've learned so much from the residents I lived with too. Thinking about what the staff and other residents did for me is getting me emotional as I'm typing this review. I love you guys and am eternally grateful.
I was a resident at Livingstone House in 2013 for 5 months and a further 4 months in aftercare. My experience was excellent. I was looked after and cared for, aswell as my family being supported while I was away. There were a lot of rules that didn't make any sense at the time, or seemed petty considering how strict the consequences could be, but I later found it was these rules/structure are probably what saved my life. I have had a few issues since moving on but with what I learnt and the contacts of good people I made, I managed to get back on it and I'm now 5 years clean with a high profile career and a loving fiancée soon to be wife.
Our son received outstanding care at Livingstone House throughout his 3 month stay. The amazing staff are what make Livingstone House a truly remarkable place. He was welcomed from the moment he spoke to Paul M, and his keyworker Paul B, worked hard to build a positive, trusted relationship with him, as did all the staff. As family, we were kept informed of our son's progress and communication was excellent. All the staff have a deep understanding of addiction and our son describes how this was the most important part of his recovery. Staff show genuine compassion and care and create a family culture that helped our son settle so quickly. He always felt respected and valued and spoke so highly of all the staff right from the early days of his stay. He has returned to us healthy and happy and with the skills with which to rebuild his life, and this is thanks to all the staff at Livingstone House.
Livingstone house saved my husbands life! He was literally at the point of dying, when he went in he was so poorly, he went in for a 7 day detox only treatment plan for alcohol , but whilst in there he received the most amazing care and support! The staff and everyone involved are absolutely amazing and we can’t ever thank them enough! Michael joined in the group sessions and also the 1-1 sessions! Michael has come out a completely different person and within a couple of days he’s back to work and loving life again! So anyone needing help for themselves or a loved 1, you won’t be disappointed with Livingstone house! Thank you again Paul and the team xxx
Livingstone house helped to give me my life back. I went for a 7 days rehab and detox and everyone was very welcoming and understanding. I would recommend to anyone struggling with addiction to reach out to them.
