Birmingham Moor Street is a charming, historic train station in the heart of Birmingham, England. Located on Moor Street Queensway, it’s one of the city’s most picturesque stations, known for its beautifully restored Edwardian architecture. The station has a welcoming, vintage feel, with traditional brickwork, classic signage, and wooden benches that give it a unique character. Despite its old-fashioned charm, Moor Street is well-equipped with modern amenities, including cafes, ticket machines, and waiting areas. The station provides convenient access to central Birmingham and is a key hub for regional routes, serving lines to destinations like Stratford-upon-Avon and London Marylebone. The platforms are spacious, and the signage is clear, making it easy to navigate. The staff are generally helpful, adding to the station’s warm and friendly atmosphere. If you’re a fan of architecture or history, Birmingham Moor Street is well worth a visit. The blend of old-world charm and functionality makes it a lovely spot to begin or end your journey in Birmingham.
Station is small and easy to navigate. 2 major issues Elevators were out of order causing disabled and elderly people an incredible inconvenience. No bins/garbage cans on platforms causing garbage to be discarded on benches and around the platforms
Very large station with links to many destinations. Short walk from Birmingham New Street Station. Easy to go from one to other, even with cases but best if you can wheels
A very busy place with lots too do. A ton of shops. Great selection and worth the day out here.

I like this small traditional station which has just a few platforms. I usually visit when taking the train from Marylebone, London to Birmingham. On this occasion I popped into one of two cafes for breakfast. You’ll find good coffee and pastries and sandwiches. There is also a newspaper and confectionary shop and loos on the platform. It’s also just a few minutes walk away from New St Station, the main railway, which is inside Grande Central and the tram stops.
Beautiful city, I went to visit and to do some shopping during some city work but still worth to go.
