We love our new garden from Dan and the team at Sticks & Stones! Despite some issues out of their control, the team got the job done quickly and for a really reasonable price. Dan and the team were always friendly and professional in their communication with us. We had our whole garden transformed with new patios and artificial grass and we're really happy with the finished result. Would highly recommend. I’m sorry to have to be writing this, because in the beginning I really liked Dan and he gave us a good and reasonable quote for our back garden. Although he wasn’t the cheapest, he was the most friendly and seemed completely trustworthy, so myself and my husband decided to go with his company. We agreed to have paving slabs instead of grass, some fake turf at the back and front of our house and the decking was to be restored and varnished with our front door steps repaired all in with the price! The boys came to do the job, however didn’t have chance to finish it before the weekend. This was last October!! Stupidly by myself (which I will never do again!) I felt bad when the lads told me they needed to be paid before the weekend, so I trustingly transferred the money, never thinking for a second that we would be let down. Fast forward a year and a dozen emails sent to get the job finished, it never happened! Dan eventually came himself last week to varnish the decking but still did not complete the job and now does not remember what colour varnish he used so we are unable to complete it ourselves. Lesson learnt, never pay up until a job is finished! I will not be recommending Dan and his boys to anyone, and it’s shameful that they took advantage of our nice nature and made us have to write this review.

Dan was brilliant and very patient in helping me plan the garden update - he gave a lot of his time - and also all the way through the build. The team were very hardworking, very friendly (and funny), tidied up every day after themselves and the overall cost was extremely reasonable. They also pay attention to detail and it’s clear that they take pride in their work. Very happy with my garden landscaping result. I hope to use them again for my front garden revamp next year. I found them via Google as my previous contractor ghosted us, and turned out it’s for the better! Dan was very responsive and has been an absolute joy to work with. He was on time for the quote and shared back a detail breakdown and a 3D design for our reference - all free of charge! The team was professional, friendly and we simply could not ask for more. They even worked through rainy days, came all the way just to drop off some samples, for that we’re deeply grateful, especially when the ground has been a mess for too long. We cannot be happier with the outcome - the pictures speak for itself! Dan even followed up with tips to maintain the lawn. 5 star contractor and highly recommend!!!

Recently had a complete garden makeover done with Dan and the guys at Sticks and Stones. The transformation is unbelievable and the photo’s definitely prove that. Dan was always extremely contactable, prompt to reply and extremely reasonable with quotes for the work. Throughout the process they guys worked incredibly quickly to get the job done in only a few days and to a really high standard. With all projects there are always hiccups but Dan was honest and accountable and always seemed to be trustworthy which is a big thing. I couldn’t recommend these guys highly enough for any work that needs doing and would happily suggest them to friends and family and will be first in line for any future work.

**** AVOID AVOID AVOID **** If I could give this so called company less than a 1 star I would. We had "work" carried out by Dan (I say Dan but he rarely turned up) and his workers. Dan was supposedly a friend however what Dan has done I don’t think you’d treat an enemy like it never mind a friend! Anyway so work was discussed and quote agreed. They were late starting the job, was supposed to only take 2 weeks but nearly 2 months on absolutely destroyed our garden rendering it completely unusable. Various issues and dodgy workmanship, Dan agreed to the problems and promised to come back on the Monday to sort it. 2 years later and still waiting for him to show up! Have asked him repeatedly for money back for the state he’s left the garden in to be told he doesn’t have any money. £400 for a bricklayer who never turned up. £3.5k for slabs that he swore he paid for yet when I rang the company no such thing, only paid for a few to start the job! Never answers his phone or texts the list is endless.will give u a sob story of he needs to pay the lads don’t fall for it! They turned up as and when they felt like it and worked a few hours which is why a 2 week job turned into 2 months!! Please people don’t part with your hard earned money, or if u do don’t do it till the jobs finished! Absolute cowboys! Oh and they have no assets either so pointless trying to take them to small claims court!

Daniel went above and beyond to get the job done perfectly. As you can see in the pictures he was able to tame a completely overgrown garden. This job was done under a time constraint and they delivered perfectly. I will definitely use this business for future gardening jobs.
