Harborne Laundrette

A convenient service in a convenient area. There is parking outside. It is cash only so don't forget your coins the wash was quite quick, approx 35 mins. Drying is obviously a bit longer and more expensive depending on what you put in. There is an attendant on site 9am-1pm. The very helpful Brenda was there when I went. This place is open until 9 pm. This place have 4 little machine which is 7 kg, and 4 middle machine which is 10 kg and 2 big machine which is 18 kg washing machine. They have enough drying machine, you can find all prices on machines but not on dryings. 1 £ is for 6 minutes in drying machines. I used them 30 minutes and my stuffs all dry. I recommend you to go with your own detergent and coins. There is no detergent vending machine, but there is a gas station nearby for coins. There is a parking area in front of the door. Actually, this place is generally clean, tidy and not so crowded. I'm satifed for their services.

Nice clean and smells nice open 6am to 9pm 7 days a week. Please take your own washing powder and plenty of change, the machines don't take 5p and 10p coins. The washing machine's are easy to use

Opening Hours 7:00am - 9:00pm (May differ on a Bank Holiday) Washing prices: 18kg Machine £9.70 10kg Machine £6.50 7kg Machine £5.20 Washing cycle duration: 40 minutes Drying prices: 50p per 3 minutes Washing machines and dryers accept coins only. Washing machines and dryers only accept 20p, 50p, £1 and £2 coins. Please note Washing machines and dryers do not accept 1p, 2p, 5p or 10p coins. Please note, you will need to bring your own laundry powder/liquid and fabric conditioner, as these are not sold and dispensed here.

I used this facility because I was desperate at 6:30pm. Unfortunately, there are no clear instructions(no website) indicating that this was a change only establishment, so I called the number provided on google and a lady answered; I asked where can I get change from and in a condescending tone say ‘ahh, the bank, a corner shop, the post office’…..I am from out of town and would have prepared better if there was a website/notice saying change only and at 6:30pm all banks are closed. Anywho, this laundry mat is over priced and dated. Every place I go to in my city accepts change and card payments and is cheaper than this establishment; especially the drying(& I live in an expensive city)! For such an out of date place, I feel it’s overpriced, consider updating to accepting card payments to ease up the customers. I will not be back.

I needed to wash the winter duvets. I hadn’t been to a launderette for years so when I went to Harborne Launderette I was pretty clueless. Fortunately for me I was helped by the employee treasure called Brenda who works there. She selected the appropriate machine, explained the payment and timings and left me to relax. The machines and surroundings are all very clean and the shop has a good atmosphere. The next day I came with a much larger duvet and again was guided by Brenda to choose the larger machines needed. I really quite enjoyed my job of ‘doing the washing’ and will be back again. Thank you Brenda.
