I had a really good experience at Homebase. The store was clean and had loads of products to choose from. I wish they had bamboo poles for Monstera plants, as that would have been a nice addition. The customer service was helpful—I received assistance with finding the right plants and soil. Although I don’t remember the name of the staff member who helped me, he was very nice and went the extra mile to locate the soil and vases I needed. Overall, I left satisfied with my visit.

Needed assistance at the paint mixing section and the lad working in that section was helping a customer. After a while I told him I would need his help when he was free.
After another 10mins I approached a bloke working on the indoor plant section and asked if there was anyone else to assist me on the paint section, he said ‘no we are very short staffed”
Eventually after waiting 30 minutes I asked a lady staff member who was walking past if I could have assistance as I’d been waiting half an hour. She called a guy to come to the mixing station which he did immediately.
He informed me any of the staff could mix the paint.
WOW thank you very unhelpful guy pottering about with the plants. Could of asked me what I needed assistance with and mixed the paint instead of retorting they were short staffed.
Painful wait and experience.
Only guy who responded so quick to do the task and lovely cheery guy on checkout saved the day, otherwise no stars.

I’m extremely disappointed with the quality of the bar stools I purchased for £600. Within just a few months, they started showing significant defects: the leather is already wearing off, and there’s a constant knocking noise from the stools that makes them feel cheaply made.
When I reached out to the company, they only sent one replacement stool out of the six I purchased, which hardly addresses the overall issue or justifies the price I paid. Their response has been frustrating, as they blamed the leather wear on “how they’re used and rubbed against the table.” I’m unsure what alternative use they expect for bar stools.
I’d highly recommend against purchasing these chairs if you’re looking for quality and durability, as both are clearly lacking here.

We hunted high and low for the right material, style, and height of our bar stools. Atlantic had a huge choice at very competitive prices. We found the right one via a very intuitive website. Ordering was easy and delivery was very speedy. The stools were easy to assemble and have proved to be just what we wanted. This was a very good online shopping experience. We found Atlantic Shopping on the web, we wanted a showroom that offered a wide range of stools that we could try out, we found most high street stores had the same type of stools. We checked out the website, which was really user friendly and gave us the options we wanted. We drove to Birmingham to visit the showroom to try them out, Atlantic has ample parking outside, so no stress with finding somewhere. We entered the building and was greeted by the owner Michael, we were amazed by the selection, far more stools that we could of imagined. The showroom has tea and coffee making facilities, so you can relax and try out the wide range at you leisure, also on site are toilets which help after a long journey. We decided on our stools, we were asked if we wanted them delivered or taken on the day, we wanted to take them home, once we paid the warehouse was at the back of the car ready to load them into the boot. Once we got home the stools were unpacked, the instructions and videos online really help with assembly. We found the whole experience first class.

Really disheartened to see that the flat pack furniture is not labelled, so unfortunately you will need to pay extra for the fitting! Also there were footprints all over the cupboard and a broken door mirror. Which was sad, as the quality of the furniture is actually really solid and we purchased it at a good price. At first, the staff did not handle our complaint well and kept rudely talking over us, shouting, and cutting the phone!
However the manager came out personally to deliver the new door and to apologise, which we really appreciated, and he assured us he will speak to his staff and the supplier regarding the lack of labelling and handling (broken mirror).

I had a terrible experience with DFS. Despite providing my home’s dimensions, the salesperson assured me the sofa would fit. On delivery, it didn’t, and another salesperson admitted it was their mistake. Yet, DFS refused a full refund, only offering to deduct 10%. Their poor advice and lack of accountability were frustrating. I wouldn’t recommend DFS—double-check everything yourself!

We had an unfortunate experience with DFS. On two occasions, they delivered leather sofas with mismatched shades on different parts. Despite multiple visits to the showroom and nearly three months of effort, the issue remained unresolved. Consequently, we firmly requested a refund. Unfortunately, obtaining the refund required several weeks of persistent follow-up, but we eventually received our money back. NEVER WE WILL USE DFS AGAIN!!

I recently ordered a sofa and footstool from Cousins and the sofa is great, no issues which is why this rating has one star. There would have been four more stars but unfortunately the footstool arrived faulty which has led to an unnecessary, long and tiring challenge to replace it.
Despite providing pictures of the damaged item I was advised a technician had to visit to inspect the product. A technician arrived and the fault wasn’t resolved. I’ve since called a second time to process a replacement, and have since been told a second technician has to visit to file a report, and only then can a replacement be issued.
This means from point of purchase it will have taken half a year for a footstool to arrive given the estimated delivery date of the new footstool. The customer service agent lacked empathy or understanding and was not willing to help beyond the “this is the process we have to follow” script that she kept repeating. Even when asked for a refund, she said she couldn’t help with that and it would be up to a manager to organise. Why is it difficult to receive a replacement or even a refund for a product I have purchased that has arrived faulty at the hands of the delivery company they choose to use. Why is it down to the customer to keep chasing customer services and why are staff so reluctant to help?
What I must add is that purchasing the product was great, staff went out of their way to help in store, but it is the customers service post-purchase which is letting this company down, and has ultimately led to me avoid shopping with Cousins in future.

We purchased a kids bunkbed and didn’t realise the mattresses were too high until after it was delivered and fitted (By Cousins who spent so much time making sure it was done properly). Paid for fitting and that was done awful with misaligned doors and drawers that don’t pull out far enough!
Delivery drivers useless! And no care in how they being the furniture into your home and damaging the furniture, making us wait another 2 weeks for it!
Don’t answer phone calls and leave you no option other than to go back to their store in Tysley as an inconvenience to yourself and also to bully you face to face! The woman who worked on the phone’ when they did answer’ was awful and very very rude in both her manners and also her unhelpfulness, seriously not taking any accountability in rectifying their mistakes!

My elderly mom and dad ordered a 3 piece suite from here, and they were told 4-6 wks. They sat on garden chairs waiting for their sofa to arrive, and after 8 weeks, still no delivery. We tried to call for 2 wks, every day, numberous times, and not once did anyone answer.
I even called another store, and they answered straight away and told me they would email the store and get them to call me straight away.
No call.
In the end my brother had to go to the store and ask what was going on!
The sofa was then delivered the following wk.
It was only a 2 seater and 2 chairs, and the delivery men basically didn’t give a s*** in regards to my parents’ decor etc. They banged the suite through the door, taking chunks of the paintwork.
Do not order from this company!!! The customer service is the worst I have ever come across from a company, and the whole experience has really upset my parents.
The so-called delivery men, well, It must have been their first time!!
A total shambles from start to finish.
